Soon it will be my time to leave this place. My most trusted commander shall find and bring me the key to my release and the sacred gems will be obtained, after all these hundreds of years. Soon I shall be free from my realm and shape the world as I see fit. My children and my people will be able to roam the land unrestricted. Soon I shall show those foolish Princess of the Sun and Moon I am not one to be trifled with. My time is at claw now. All is needed now is for my trusted Lion to return with the key.
Earth
Well here I am again, at my parents place sitting out back staring into the pool trying to pick myself up after another break up, and trying to relax and forget about my problems. I mean what makes me so undesirable to girls. I do some martial arts, so I’m little bit in shape. I’m a nice guy, great personality to boot. I’m also a talented writer, though not a famous one yet.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that I am a massive nerd of sorts. I mean I read comics and manga, go to conventions, I am a continuation of the band nerdom in our family, I watch anime and cartoons I find entertaining, and I’m a brony. Those may be the primary reason for most shallow girls I keep managing to go out with so lucky me.
I see my dad stepping out the back door and he simply waves to me, knowing I really don’t want to talk right now, and continues onto the grill to cook something for the three of us to eat tonight. We stayed in the back yard for a few minutes in silence as he cooks, as smoke billows out of the stack. I sit there staring at the pool water, finding the motion of the waves soothing and relaxing. Then something odd and peculiar happened.
The water in our pool slowly began to change from clear to pitch black for no reason. Me and dad moved towards the black pool cautiously try to figure out what is going on. Things continued to take a strange turn of events. The water became disturbingly still, and an eerie silence filled the air. Dad and me had no idea of what to make of all this. Then a strange churning and bubbling sound started to emit from the dark water. We decided it would be best to head back inside, then moment we turned our backs everything went wrong. The dark water seemed to spring into life jettisoning into the air taking the form of tendrils as we turn back to see what was going on, I didn’t like where this was going. The water was surging back and forth, we wordlessly decided to make a break for and take cover back in the house. It was a good plan dad made it through the door, me not so much. One of the tendrils came crashing down right in front of me cutting me off from my escape, another slammed down on the other side of me cornering me, leaving me no place go but towards the source of the problem. The two tendrils surrounding me were corralling me towards the water. One pillar of water stood between the two tendrils, I don’t know if my eyes were playing trick on me but there seemed to be a figure standing within the pillar waiting for me. A new tendril formed and shoots out at me wrapping around my arm, and started pulling me towards the figure.
I looked over at my dad, the worried look on his face. I could tell that there was no escape from this, so could he. I smiled at him say, “It will be alright dad, Love ya and tell everyone else them same.” Well time to face my fate, charging forth ready to face whatever horror awaits me beyond the dark water. I passed right through the water but it felt different like I passed through something else entirely. Just as I passed through the water to tackle the unknown figure before me, I finally see the mystery within, although he’s not a man more of an anthropomorphic lion. He has golden fur, four fingers on his hands, emerald eyes, and his mane is a darker shade of gold from his coat.
Boy the weirdness just doesn’t end for me today. Maybe not the best idea to charge in here, but I don’t think I was going to get out of this situation any other way but that. Continuing on for ‘not the bad idea to charge in here’ this whole place feels like its tearing me apart and rearranging me. This feeling continued as my shoulder collided with his midsection. Apparently that didn’t seem to bother him as we float here in the void. He grabs me by the collar of my shirt and lifts me up to his eye level. He raises his other hand to my eye level and I notice that in was cover in some sort of leather, though it wasn’t there for long since it unexplainably caught fire, but the flame was an unnatural green.
The said flaming hand proceed to clamp around my forehead, the burning sensation was extremely unpleasant. This isn’t going well at all, but I can’t quit when it gets tough can I. I threw a kick to his midsection but didn’t seem to do anything, so I try striking other area oh his body with different kicks and punches that I could reach. The lion man brings me to his eye level to show me what I’m doing isn’t doing anything but annoy him, okay plan B it is. With my index and middle finger extended I thrust my right hand forward and right into his left eye. Then I saw something odd about my hand, it was covered in a dark blue smoke. I couldn’t see my hand, but I could still feel it. Back to the fight of my life seem like plan B worked sort of. The hand holding me up by the collar was held up to the eye I may have gouged out, but the one clamped around my head was still there. This does prove that is not invulnerable.
Time to press the advantage I just gained. I struck the tip of his snout with the heel of my palm that seemed to make his grip loosen slight. One more solid strike should do it. Using both my hands I clap them right atop his ears as hard as I can in this position. That seemed to the trick as his let my head go. While his arm was still extended I grabbed onto it for a brief moment to deliver a two-legged kick to his face to disorient him and push him away from me at the same time.
With that we started to float away from each other at a rather quick pace. I notice that the smoke that was consuming my hand was starting spread all over me. Along with that I felt pain all over me, and I was slowly feeling myself start to fade into unconsciousness. Before everything went to black me and my lion one last glare at each other, his left hand still covering his eye. I know that this is far from over but for now it’s a win for me, with that last exchange and thought everything went to black.
Canterlot Castle, Equestria: Luna POV
I stared at our kingdom from our balcony watching the night come to an end as I lower the moon to make way for my sister sun, it looked as though it was going to be a wonderful day. I smiled fondly as I gaze upon the city filled of our subjects today I am going to try and interact more with everypony and get to know our subjects better. Before I do any of that I better wake Tia up for her day court duties. Just as I was about to close the door to my chamber I felt something strange in the air. It was a feeling of dread filling me like something was about to happen. I didn't like this omen, oddly enough it felt familiar in some way, I better let Tia know about this immediately, I turn away from the door slamming it shut rushing towards my sister bed chamber in order to inform her of my sudden premonition.
