In time, humans were alone. Sure they had all the animals to accompany them through life, but they were so different. Humans had no proper way of communicating and there were no real species that had the same intelligence as them. Humans hadn't even made contact with alien lifeforms outside of Earth. Humans were alone, and alone was what they thought was going to be forever.
But one day, an island appears in the middle of an ocean. No one knew how it got there, or what existed there due to a magical barrier that humans couldn't trespass. Little did they know this island was inhabited by multicoloured ponies of 4 races. This was the island of Equestria and the inhabitants happened to be the characters from the exact same show by Hasbro. Coincidence? No one knows.
Shortly after the islands appearance, the ponies made contact with mankind. Things weren't good at first but they learnt to live with each other and cooperate with their lives.
They than started up a chain of conversion bureaus where humans could be ponified if they wanted. This gave a new opinion to the human race and the sentient beings that would be loss from lack of worth.
But there was one pony that didn't seem worthy as a pony. She thought that life as a pony was worthless and boring and thought that humans were more interesting. This was Lyra Heartstrings.
Both species have been so in depth with ponification they didn't even know if Humanification was possible and didn't sit anywhere within that area. It was Equestrias pony magic that made ponification possible so humanification may not be possible.
But there's a chance there's some magic or science that could make it possible.
Lyra woke on her bed to the sound of her alarm clock. The ringing sound of the alarm clock was the most annoying thing ever to her. Why did she even set her alarm clock? It's not like she was in a rush to go somewhere. She didn't have to go to work at the local bowling alley which was always booming with business. Lyra has always loved bowling and it was her favourite sport to play. But the main reason she worked there was the amount of humans. 65% of the customers were humans, with 20% being unicorns and 15% a mix of earth and pegasi. Not like earth or pegasi were able bodied enough to be skilled at Bowling. Although that doesn't stop them.
"SHUT THE HELL UP YOU STUPID THING" she shouted trying to find the off button without opening her eyes. Ok so that didn't work So there wasn't much she could do with an alarm blazing right next to her, so she picked up the alarm clock and threw it against the wall where it hit the off button.
"That works everytime. Now to open my eyes." Lyra tried to force her eyes to open but they wouldn't budge. She tried harder to open her eyes. They still wouldn't budge. Lyra tried to use her hooves to pry apart her eyes forgetting that she isn't human and that she has hooves.
"Ok, if you won't open, it's time to take drastic action... wait i told myself i was going to sleep in today, well i'm NOT!" Lyras eyes finally budged. "Stupid eyes like sleep so much"
Lyra walked into her bathroom and splashed some water in her face. This fully awoke her after that thing with her eyes. Her stupid eyes that thought they could have a mind of their own. She opened the bathroom cabinet revealing an assortment of items, She has her usual toothbrush, toothpaste, spare soap and other bathroom utensils, but also had an assortment of medical supplies, like some bandage, cough medicine, cold medicine and her inhaler. (wait we're not snooping through her cabinet are we?)
