Chapter 5 - The Real Culprit

Outside The Tree (21:10)

“You liar! Me and Rainbow did not do that!”

“Yeah, thanks alot Pinkie! I thought you would vouch for me.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Look Girls, be quiet. I dont care what one of you did it, but all I know is in each of your little ‘Stories’ all of you said at the end Pinkie shouted ‘Rainbow take it down’ Now tell us Pinkie as no one explained why you said that, why did you say that?”

“Well, I thought it was clear…”

“Wait tell me this part is at least true, I want to know what really happened.” Twilight questioned.

“Ok, trust me this part is what did happen” Pinkie Pie said.

Inside The Tree (20:53)

“Just as Rainbow was hanging up the party popper she had not noticed that the door was open just a bit, where as it was supposed to be closed. I shouted ‘Rainbow take it down’ because when she flew of her tail was stuck in the part of the rope. So when she flew off it would of set off the party popper.”

Outside The Tree (21:12)

“But wait, Pinkie, a party popper would not of set off an explosion that big. So something else must have happened.”

“Urgh, Twilight I need to tell you something.”

“Not now Spike, I'm trying to find out what happened to the…” Twilight stopped and everyone turned and looked at Spike. “Spike please don’t tell me that you are the one who exploded the tree…”

“Twilight, I am sorry it was me.” Spike cried.

“I told you the truth see Twilight?” Applejack shouted.

“Girls again be quiet, look Spike tell me your side of the story and please, please, tell me what really happened.”

Spike’s Story, The Truth (20:50)

“Ok Twilight, see you shortly”

Twilight closed the door and went on her way to the shops.

“Right, now Twilight has gone I can do some magic, I can finally show her what I can do. That will make her happy” Spike said. “But first I must make sure Applejack, Rainbow or Pinkie Pie don’t come and see what I am up to.” Spike put his head around the corner of the stairs.

“Well, ah suppose ah do, but Twilight said she should be back in about 5 minutes.”

Spike stopped listening and headed back upstairs.

“Now to find that magic book Twilight was reading today, it was around here somewhere” Spike searched through the bookshelves and picked it up. “Potion of Smartness, that sounds good. If I make this then I can become smart and then I will find doing magic easier.

Spike heard someone shouting.

“DONE….”

It made him jump, but he ignored it and carried on with what he was doing.

“Right now I am done, Let me add the final ingredient. Actually I will wait for Twilight to get back in case it went wrong.” Spike put the final ingredient down on the table. He turned around and walked over to the window.

“Come on Twilight, I want to show you what I made.” All of a sudden he heard: “Rainbow! take it down!”.

“Why Pinkie? It will be fun to watch her face when she steps through the door.” Rainbow said.

“No look, your tail is stuck in it, the trap is going to go off!” Pinkie Pie shouted. All of a sudden, as Rainbow Dash flew away the trap went off.

BANG!

Spike fell backwards and pushed the final ingredient into the pot.

“This can’t be good.” Spike said, worried.

Before they knew it the tree had blown up.

Outside The Tree (21:15)

“So It was you, you little purple dragon!” Rainbow Dash shouted.

“I’m sorry Twilight. I only wanted to show you that I could be like you.” Spike said, looking down at the ground.

“Look, don’t worry about it Spike.” Twilight said, patting him on the back.

“You told him to not worry about it, Twilight what is wrong with you?” Pinkie Pie said.

“Well you three aren't going to get let off the hook, we are friends and friends do not lie to each other. Everyone here even Spike should all make a promise and to never lie again.” Twilight said.

“We wont…” They replied.

“Look Twilight, I will help you tidy up the tree and help you rebuild it.” Applejack said. “Sorry for not telling you the truth Twilight, I hope you forgive me.”

“I will help too Twilight!” Said Rainbow Dash.

“And Me” Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

“And Me too” Spike said.

“Well I hope you have learned your lessons and will not do this again.” Twilight said as they all walked into the once standing tree.

Five Days Later

Dear Princess Princess Celestia

This week, I have learned all about lying and how bad it is to lie. I have helped my friends by also showing them the downsides to lying and what will happen if you do. They learned that it may result in a Tree being blown up.

I have also learned that forgiving people when they have done something wrong to you and you should never talk to them again, is something you should never do. You would not want to lose the people close to you as just think, one day you may need them. For example to clean up their mess.
