Prologue

As we all know, saiyans are a bloodthirsty, battle-driven race that accounts for more death than any other race (that we know of) ever. So, it is not surprising that when another “low level” saiyan warrior is born, that they intend to send it to a new… interesting planet. They had seen it in holographs before, but as of yet, no one had seen it in person. It was lush, had plenty of wildlife, and would probably fetch a fairly large pay from their intelligent allies. So, without further ado, they send Kakarot to the wonderful land of: Equestria.

(3 Days before the arrival of the newborn saiyan)

Celestia gasped, as she awoke from her slumber. Before she could ask, her beloved sister had made the hallway-long trek to find her troubled sibling. She burst into the room, inquiring as to what was wrong.

“Sister, what is it that troubles thee so?” she asked, a mixture of curiosity and fear in her equine face. She was standing at ~5 ½ feet tall; a mountain in comparison to her loyal subjects, and her elongated-pony face had a rather distraught expression. The answer didn’t help much either.

"I felt a disturbing presence making its’ way to our home.” She said, worry seeming to overwhelm her usual happy, carefree demeanor. Being the co-ruler of equestria, and being an immortal deity of the sun, she had lived a while, and seen a lot. Though, this took the cake (which she as not pleased to find was taken from her pantry), and did not want her little ponies to suffer from this unknown threat. Her sister had seen her like this before, but that was not since… that day, so long ago. For something else to make her feel like this was unherd (horse puns) of, and caused her an equal amount of distress.

Everyone was excited for the Celebration. Starswirl (the not yet bearded), discord (the not yet corrupt) and all her little ponies (I think all you readers just cringed for the 3rd time) were there, to celebrate the magnificent and not overrated daytime. Just as soon as Celestia began her magical raising of the sun, it happened.

Someone shouted,  “Meteor!” and the panic ensuing was astronomical (more jokes). Everyone was running in different directions and the 4 most powerful there (other than discord, who was looking upon the panic with interest, and would later find that this was the beginning of what would be an interesting reign) were eyeing the ‘meteor’ with curiosity, when the booming voice of princess Luna was heard over the chaos,

“MY SUBJECTS, LET US SETTLE DOWN, THERE IS NO REASON FOR THINE TERROR!” she said, using the customary so-called ‘royal canterlot voice’ to try and settle them, and was distraught to find that it did nothing of the sort. So, stepping up, Starswirl cast a simple spell, to stop the oncoming ‘meteor’, but found that its velocity was greater than his magic could stop. Quickly thinking, discord summoned up an over sized cushion, to which the now classified spaceship crashed, sending dust and feathers from the cushion everywhere. When the spaceship opened, there was an audible gasp from all that spectated, as what appeared to be an ape with an odd hairstyle crawled out.

“I thank thee, discord, for aiding us in our time of distress,” said Celestia, while turning her attention to the spaceship once more. The baby appeared to have no fur, but had a rather wild looking mane sticking out of its head, and a brown, furry tail from its bottom. Celestia, who at first glance could only be described as nervous, then took a more caring demeanor, and slowly trotted to the newly found ‘adversary’ and looked upon it with motherly eyes, only to be met with a snarl from the small child. She was rather confused as to why the child was showing such malicious intent, but decided that it was worry for another time and place, and quickly picked up the small child with her magic, and brought him over to the others, who couldn't help but feel their hearts warm as they witnessed none other than their god-princess take in a baby.

This moment was almost ruined by the constant angry squirming, and scowl the alien baby had on its face, but the novelty was still there. It was unheard of for her to take in a protege, and was met with both cries of delight from some, and utter silence from others. She smiled back at it, and said with a smile, “I’ll name you, Goku.”

Years later, at the royal palace, Goku was having his 12th birthday celebrated. By this time, every pony had grown accustomed to seeing this little kid; though only because of his mischief. But, he always made up for it in both his kindness, and his determination. He had grown strong from sparring with the royal guard, and had even surprised them by shooting off what could only be described by magic, when he had been pinned yet again by the head guard.

“Sorry kid, looks like I gotcha again,” he said, with a small chuckle, only to be cut off with a grunt of effort from the sheer strength of the little boy beneath him. ‘he’s gonna grow up to be strong’ was his last thought, before he felt himself lose grip, and flung against the wall by sheer strength. He looked up, to see him glowing a soft blue, and his brows furrowed in concentration. As if by some far off, distant memory, the thoughts came to him; he somehow knew what to do without being trained to even do it.

“Ka…me, HA…ME… HAAAAAAAA!” he screamed with pre-pubescent rage, that seemed to have boiled and come forth, creating a blue blast that was sent directly at the guard. Instead of dodging, he decided to test it’s strength, and put up a shield, gritting his teeth in concentration. He was pushed back by the sheer power behind the blast, and his eyes widened when he noticed that the blast was eating away at his magical barrier.

Due to his status as lead guard (nopony had been skilled enough to take the lead role of Captain... yet) he was fabled to have immense magical power, and control. So, when Goku found himself on his back, with no time or explanation for how it happened, he was confused.

His  confusion came second, and he found himself coughing and wheezing from the force he hit the ground with. He flipped over to his back, through sheer willpower alone, and looked to his powerful pony assailant.

"Wow," he said, still panting. "You sure are strong."

The old stallion chuckled, taking up a more relaxed stance.

"You shouldn't have let your guard down."

He was given no time, and before he could even look up, an energy ball was sent flying at his face. Due to years of training and field experience, something a scarce few guards could brag, he dodged with lightning fast reflexes. While he was jumping back from the blast, he noticed a shadow overhead. His eyes widened, and he jumped up. It was too late, and he was greeted by a fist into his back, knocking him to the ground. He stood up, and quickly dodged the follow up attack, but Goku was relentless. Kicks, punches, and the rare energy ball here and there, In fact, he might have even gained the advantage.

However, it was obvious the fight was nearing a close; both fighters were at their last leg. Goku put an enourmous amount of power into his last blast. The ever famous Kamehameha wave was the finisher.

"Kame..." the head guard looked up, cursed under his breath, and prepared a shield spell limited to him alone. The power it took wasn't special, it was the nature of the shield. All damage done to it was merely taken from his mana reserves in proportion the the power of the attack. This was suicidal to most guards, who would die from magical exhaustion just trying to protect themselves.

But he was the head guard.

"Hame..." Goku said, pulling his arms back, a small sphere of energy visible between. Cursing his lack of time, the head of the guard put up his signature shield.

"HAAAAA!" Screamed Goku, as the last of his power was expelled towards the head guard, whose translucent purple shield had completely covered him.

Another reason that the head guard could use this shield. Most ponies, know their limits. Mana reserves, how full they are. The head guard, however, took it to a new level. He knew exactly how much mana he had at all times, and could allocate it accordingly. So when he felt ~60% of his mana reserves leave the moment the wave collided with his shield, three things happened:

1: He allocated all the magic he could spare in powering the shield.

2: He jumped out of the way, using his remaining mana to boost him to safety.

3: He passed out shortly after.

Goku was still focusing his power into the blast, noticing none of these things. Then, the shield exploded, sending an enourmous energy wave out that knocked Goku back several feet. Laying eagle-spread on the ground, he found that he had exhusted himself past the point of movement. He then heard a slow steady clapping from his left. Mustering up his will power, he found none other than Celestia, standing there.

"I must say, well done Goku!" She said, laughing. "I don't think that Sparkle has had a fight like that in years!"

Goku smiled tiredly, before falling asleep on the ground. Celestia walked over and, using her telekinesis, picked up both Sparkle, and Goku, before walking to the hospital. Despite the intense fight, hardly any wounds were visible on either. 'Somewhere between an epic battle, and a friendly spar.' Celestia mused to herself.

'Though, mostly the latter.'
