Vinyl walked into the club, she greeted warmly with loud dub step. Her natural habit. She shuffled past mares and stallions. Bodies packed tighter than bits in Blueblood's pocket.
The white mare walked towards the bar. She spotted familiar face.
"Sister!" Vinyl screamed over the pounding music.
"Hello sis."
"What are you doing here Octy?"
"Just enjoying a drink."
"But don't you despise my work?"
Octavia removed an earbud. "Of course I do, but I need to ask you something."
"What do you need? Asked Vinyl.
"Well, I need a drinkin partner and, your the only mare I know that inhales alcohol like it's oxygen."
"Well shit Octs, you're making me get the feels and such."
"So, what do you say?"
"Aw hell yas sis!"
They arrived at a shady bar. A confused look appeared on Vinyl's face.
"Uh, Octavia. Are you certain that this is the place?"
"Yes, why?"
"This seems a little...shady place for Cantorlot mare like yourself."
"So, let me get this straight. You're sayin I that I can't enjoy myself a good drink bat a place like this because I have class? Isn't that stereotyping me Vinyl?"
"No..not exactly. I'm just saying, this is a little low for a mare of your....stature."
"I'm not your little sister any more Vinyl. I can make my own decision now."
"Well then, after you Miss Grownup."
They walked into Inventively, the name of the bar. The ponies greeted Octavia warmly, clear seeing her regularly. Vinyl, on the other hoof, was surprised to see some of Cantorlot's elites in such an odd looking place. Along with that shocker, Princess Cadence was there doing shots with Lyra. Octavia took set next to her.
"So, how has research being going?"
"Oh, you know," Lyra said before taking a shot. "the normal bullshit. Not getting enough research or blowing bits on exploring the possibilities of portal usage for transporting. And the great 'We shouldn't, worry about those....humans.' I mean, what the buck do they want, a real, physical homo sapien in the next two days?"
"Wouldn't, surprise me. I mean, politics is bitch."
"Well, at least I'm still getting backing from the royals."
"Tru-" Before Octavia could finish, she was pulled away Vinyl.
"What the hell is going on? I'm basically a nopony compared to them."Whispered Vinyl.
"Well, a few of use started talking about transfusing the...annoyingness greatness of dub step. They asked me about my sister, so here we are."
"But, that's impossible!"
"That's why Lyra's here, we need this ok. Do it for your sister."
"Fine, but let me get myself a drink, I got a feeling I'll need."
"Just meet Lyra, Cadence and I out back."
Vinyl nodded, walking towards the bar. She took a set.
"What can I get you?" Asked the tender.
"Surprise me."
"Ight," responded the pony, "How was your day?"
"Sleeping and mixing."
"So your a DJ, aye?" Questioned the bartender, placing the drink down.
"Yep," taking a drink, "Been going for sometime."
"Your Vinyl, si?"
"You got me. It's me, Vinyl."
"Well, I'll be damned. And I believe Octavia is waving towards."
"Well, thanks...."
"My name isn't important. Go."
"Alright. Nice meeting you bro."
Vinyl exited the building, followed by Octavia.
"Hey, Octs, you know the name of that pony?"
"Which one?"
"The tender. You know, the light blue unicorn with red mane."
"Vinyl, how did you smoke before you came with me?"
"Not enough. And I'mma being serious!"
"Vinyl, the bartender was on sick leave and we couldn't find another one."
Vinyl laughed awkwardly, "Ha, ha ha, I was testing you Octavia."
"Sure...so, anyway, Lyra, how was the transfusing going?"
"Considering that the unicorns magic must be in tuned with the wave's generated by the dub step."
"How come DJ's didn't work?"
"I theorized that they weren't...musically tuned. If you know what I mean."
