Twilight's Story.

Twilight was rushing about her library as per normal on a normal Monday morning in normal old Ponyville. Spike was watching the ungraceful ballet unfold from his seat on the stairs while munching on his cereal, some WheatyBrix with added sprinkles of emerald and ruby. Twilight still scampered around the library, looking for the specific book that she had the night before in the pile of books and papers that were left strewn over the library floor.

Suddenly, and for but a second, the library was filled with a blinding flash of white light. It originated from where Spike was perched.

“Spike, did you do anyth...” Twilight was cut off as she turned to see where Spike was. But that was the problem, Spike was indeed there a few seconds ago, but now he was gone and where he sat was just a black burn mark in the wood.

“Spike? Spike! SPIKE!” Twilight was yelling at the black charred step. “SPIKE! Are you in here? Come out n...” Twilight was cut off yet again by another blinding flash that filled the library yet again. However Twilight couldn’t finish her worried, frantic questioning, as she was no longer there.

The house was quiet, and had been since all the family members went to bed. The only sound to echo through the hallways and the landing was the content hum of the radiators and the fridge way down in the kitchen. In one of the rooms, a teenager was asleep in his bed with his mobile phone laying face down in the bed with the screen on. The teen was drooling, and by the looks of the stain, had been for quite a while. However, the slumbering sweaty mass was not the main area of focus in this dark room. The small desk just below the window was the main focus, as a small light started to materialise out of thin air beneath the desk. The brilliant light did not wake the teen, or any of the other slumbering family members.

The light started out as a pinprick, a small spec of white light, and slowly expanded. Suddenly, and giving no warning, the light engulfed the room for just under a second and then was gone. In place of the mysterious light was an unconscious Twilight Sparkle. This unlucky mare was teleported beneath the desk and had her head laid down on a plug board and it looked fairly uncomfortable. However, she was out cold, so moving for comfort was kind of out of the question for now.

***

The silence filling the room was split by the screeching of an alarm on the teen’s phone. The sleepy young man fumbled with the device for a second, trying to de-activate the alarm on the touch screen with his nose. He rolled over and draped his legs over the edge of the bed and managed to make himself vertical. He reached for his specs on the bedside table to put on, the first attempt awarded him in only picking up a pencil and trying to balance it on his nose. The second attempt was more fruitful, as the teen managed to find the correct implement to use to see things beyond a coloured blur.

Opening his mouth, the teenager sucked all of the air out of the room with a yawn that could have rivalled that of a man who had played Skyrim for three days strait with only Monster as sustenance. The only reason it could rival that is because that is exactly what the teen did over his three day weekend, but now it was Monday and he would have to drag himself to college.

Pushing the reminder that today was Monday out of his mind, the teen walked over to his desk and sat down on his chair. He pulled himself in and pushed the ‘on’ button on his laptop. He pulled his legs round and settled them on top of the warm, breathing mass beneath his desk...

The warm, breathing mass... Surely that wasn’t right? The teen bent down to check to see what was lying beneath his desk. The answer to which was an absolutely genuine, perfectly real, physical and terrified Twilight Sparkle.

The purple mare stared at this creature with wide eyes, ready to bolt at any second. How did it get here, how did it imprison her under a table... why was she under a table? Twilight shuffled away from the thing, only to be rivalled by the almighty power of a wall that was blocking her path. She closed her eyes and started to weep slowly. She was sure this would be the end of her life, this thing could reach out and kill her at any moment. She opened one eye to confirm her fears; indeed the creature was extending an arm toward her. Twilight cringed again as she saw the arm get closer and closer to her belly until...

Poke.

“Hey, Doug. Get out from under my damn desk you stupid mongrel!” The thing said. “How did you get in here? You hungry? Huh?” The thing poked Twilight’s belly some more.

He decided to poke 'Doug' again in the belly. “Hay, you come out! I ain’t gunna harm ya.” He held up his palms to the furry intruder. “Okay, I’m getting fed up now. Come on, Doug!” The teen reached in to try and grab the thing’s forelegs. It pulled them back, still having that wide eyed ‘I would bolt but you’re in the way’ look.

Twilight was not letting that thing touch her for a second. It spoke Equestrian and said it meant no harm, but so too did Discord, except the harm bit. The being looked like it was getting irate with her not coming out from her little prison.

“Right, that does it” It said. It reached in again too quickly for Twilight to react. Its claws grabbed her hind legs, holding them together, and did the same to her front legs. “There, now we won’t get hurt. And remember what happens when you bite.” It said.

It started to pull Twilight out from under the desk, there was nothing she could do, her body was still tired and she was still kind of terrified at this point. By this point she had accepted that she was doomed and just let it happen.

The teen pulled the furry thing by the legs out from under the desk. He closed his eyes and tried hard, this animal thing was heavy. At least he could get a look at it in the light after it gets removed from its makeshift home under his desk. Opening his eyes after the thing was in the middle of his room, he took a look at it.

And by the power of the royal pony sisters, was he in for a shock.

The teen looked down and saw what he had managed to render from its home, at his feet was the terrified visage of Twilight Sparkle, looking at him with dilated pupils and wide eyes. However, now it was his turn to try the wide eyed look.

“H-H-How?” was all he could manage to say before retreating to the other end of the room. “No. This can’t be real... Doug is actually... what.” The teen contemplated while pacing his room, taking occasional glances at Twilight and piecing together what is going on.

Meanwhile, Twilight was kind of shocked at how the creature reacted. Why did it not kill her? She took the opportunity to get to her hooves and start interrogating. With a new found courage, she walked slowly and purposely at the creature, brandishing her horn.

“Don’t point that thing at me!” It panicked. Good, Twilight had the fear factor. She lowered her horn more, aiming it at the creature’s bipedal knees. “I said lower the horn!” Ha, like she was going to listen to the pleas of a complete stranger that kidnapped her.

The teen was backed up in a corner of his room, with an angry Twilight Sparkle aiming her horn at him. He tried to make her stop aiming it at him, but to no avail, she decided she had the fear factor now. However the teen had an ace up his sleeve, the power of the name. He’d read somewhere on his epic adventures on the internet that knowing the name of someone that didn't know you gave you an advantage in power, but only once. Now was that one time.

“Twilight Sparkle, lower your horn immediately!” The teen commanded. Twilight’s face dropped, and so did her jaw. Names really did have power it seems.

Twilight was ready to fire a burst of magic at it kneecaps. She was just about to build her magic charge when she saw out of her peripheral vision that the creature’s face changed from panic to assertiveness. She didn’t ignore this, what did this thing have planned that was more powerful than magic?

“Twilight Sparkle, lower your horn immediately!” The creature commanded. Twilight’s face dropped, and so did her jaw. The creature had used the power of her name, by simply calling her by her full name was enough to make her look at the creature and hold off the attack.

“Twilight, we need to talk.” It said. Twilight didn’t respond, she just sat down and looked at it some more. What was going on here?

To be continued.

A/N: Sorry for the rapid change of point of view for this. I saw it done once and it was really smooth to read, I just hope I managed the same effect.

If not, 'tis a small fix, just tell me if it fails and I'll just make it all Twilight's point of seeing things.
