Twilight was rushing about her library as per normal on a normal Monday morning in normal old Ponyville. Spike was watching the ungraceful ballet unfold from his seat on the stairs while munching on his cereal, some WheatyBrix with added sprinkles of emerald and ruby. Twilight still scampered around the library, looking for the specific book that she had the night before in the pile of books and papers that were left strewn over the library floor. Suddenly, and for but a second, the library was filled with a blinding flash of white light. It originated from where Spike was perched. “Spike, did you do anyth...” Twilight was cut off as she turned to see where Spike was. But that was the problem, Spike was indeed there a few seconds ago, but now he was gone and where he sat was just a black burn mark in the wood. “Spike? Spike! SPIKE!” Twilight was yelling at the black charred step. “SPIKE! Are you in here? Come out n...” Twilight was cut off yet again by another blinding flash that filled the library yet again. However Twilight couldn’t finish her worried, frantic questioning, as she was no longer there. The house was quiet, and had been since all the family members went to bed. The only sound to echo through the hallways and the landing was the content hum of the radiators and the fridge way down in the kitchen. In one of the rooms, a teenager was asleep in his bed with his mobile phone laying face down in the bed with the screen on. The teen was drooling, and by the looks of the stain, had been for quite a while. However, the slumbering sweaty mass was not the main area of focus in this dark room. The small desk just below the window was the main focus, as a small light started to materialise out of thin air beneath the desk. The brilliant light did not wake the teen, or any of the other slumbering family members. The light started out as a pinprick, a small spec of white light, and slowly expanded. Suddenly, and giving no warning, the light engulfed the room for just under a second and then was gone. In place of the mysterious light was an unconscious Twilight Sparkle. This unlucky mare was teleported beneath the desk and had her head laid down on a plug board and it looked fairly uncomfortable. However, she was out cold, so moving for comfort was kind of out of the question for now. *** The silence filling the room was split by the screeching of an alarm on the teen’s phone. The sleepy young man fumbled with the device for a second, trying to de-activate the alarm on the touch screen with his nose. He rolled over and draped his legs over the edge of the bed and managed to make himself vertical. He reached for his specs on the bedside table to put on, the first attempt awarded him in only picking up a pencil and trying to balance it on his nose. The second attempt was more fruitful, as the teen managed to find the correct implement to use to see things beyond a coloured blur. Opening his mouth, the teenager sucked all of the air out of the room with a yawn that could have rivalled that of a man who had played Skyrim for three days strait with only Monster as sustenance. The only reason it could rival that is because that is exactly what the teen did over his three day weekend, but now it was Monday and he would have to drag himself to college. Pushing the reminder that today was Monday out of his mind, the teen walked over to his desk and sat down on his chair. He pulled himself in and pushed the ‘on’ button on his laptop. He pulled his legs round and settled them on top of the warm, breathing mass beneath his desk... The warm, breathing mass... Surely that wasn’t right? The teen bent down to check to see what was lying beneath his desk. The answer to which was an absolutely genuine, perfectly real, physical and terrified Twilight Sparkle. The purple mare stared at this creature with wide eyes, ready to bolt at any second. How did it get here, how did it imprison her under a table... why was she under a table? Twilight shuffled away from the thing, only to be rivalled by the almighty power of a wall that was blocking her path. She closed her eyes and started to weep slowly. She was sure this would be the end of her life, this thing could reach out and kill her at any moment. She opened one eye to confirm her fears; indeed the creature was extending an arm toward her. Twilight cringed again as she saw the arm get closer and closer to her belly until... Poke. “Hey, Doug. Get out from under my damn desk you stupid mongrel!” The thing said. “How did you get in here? You hungry? Huh?” The thing poked Twilight’s belly some more. He decided to poke 'Doug' again in the belly. “Hay, you come out! I ain’t gunna harm ya.” He held up his palms to the furry intruder. “Okay, I’m getting fed up now. Come on, Doug!” The teen reached in to try and grab the thing’s forelegs. It pulled them back, still having that wide eyed ‘I would bolt but you’re in the way’ look. Twilight was not letting that thing touch her for a second. It spoke Equestrian and said it meant no harm, but so too did Discord, except the harm bit. The being looked like it was getting irate with her not coming out from her little prison. “Right, that does it” It said. It reached in again too quickly for Twilight to react. Its claws grabbed her hind legs, holding them together, and did the same to her front legs. “There, now we won’t get hurt. And remember what happens when you bite.” It said. It started to pull Twilight out from under the desk, there was nothing she could do, her body was still tired and she was still kind of terrified at this point. By this point she had accepted that she was doomed and just let it happen. The teen pulled the furry thing by the legs out from under the desk. He closed his eyes and tried hard, this animal thing was heavy. At least he could get a look at it in the light after it gets removed from its makeshift home under his desk. Opening his eyes after the thing was in the middle of his room, he took a look at it. And by the power of the royal pony sisters, was he in for a shock. The teen looked down and saw what he had managed to render from its home, at his feet was the terrified visage of Twilight Sparkle, looking at him with dilated pupils and wide eyes. However, now it was his turn to try the wide eyed look. “H-H-How?” was all he could manage to say before retreating to the other end of the room. “No. This can’t be real... Doug is actually... what.” The teen contemplated while pacing his room, taking occasional glances at Twilight and piecing together what is going on. Meanwhile, Twilight was kind of shocked at how the creature reacted. Why did it not kill her? She took the opportunity to get to her hooves and start interrogating. With a new found courage, she walked slowly and purposely at the creature, brandishing her horn. “Don’t point that thing at me!” It panicked. Good, Twilight had the fear factor. She lowered her horn more, aiming it at the creature’s bipedal knees. “I said lower the horn!” Ha, like she was going to listen to the pleas of a complete stranger that kidnapped her. The teen was backed up in a corner of his room, with an angry Twilight Sparkle aiming her horn at him. He tried to make her stop aiming it at him, but to no avail, she decided she had the fear factor now. However the teen had an ace up his sleeve, the power of the name. He’d read somewhere on his epic adventures on the internet that knowing the name of someone that didn't know you gave you an advantage in power, but only once. Now was that one time. “Twilight Sparkle, lower your horn immediately!” The teen commanded. Twilight’s face dropped, and so did her jaw. Names really did have power it seems. Twilight was ready to fire a burst of magic at it kneecaps. She was just about to build her magic charge when she saw out of her peripheral vision that the creature’s face changed from panic to assertiveness. She didn’t ignore this, what did this thing have planned that was more powerful than magic? “Twilight Sparkle, lower your horn immediately!” The creature commanded. Twilight’s face dropped, and so did her jaw. The creature had used the power of her name, by simply calling her by her full name was enough to make her look at the creature and hold off the attack. “Twilight, we need to talk.” It said. Twilight didn’t respond, she just sat down and looked at it some more. What was going on here? To be continued. A/N: Sorry for the rapid change of point of view for this. I saw it done once and it was really smooth to read, I just hope I managed the same effect. If not, 'tis a small fix, just tell me if it fails and I'll just make it all Twilight's point of seeing things. //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight's Story: Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight's Story: Part 2 Mush Presents A ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ Fanfic ‘Away from Home’ Twilight’s Story: Part 2 The teen managed to arrest all of the manic thoughts buzzing through his head and tried a rational approach to this irrational situation. With a stern face and voice, he said “Twilight, we need to talk”. He was trying really hard to stay calm and collected during this encounter. As most other bronies would have done in this situation, he was urging to unleash a tidal wave of questions. However, he was suppressing his fangasm, as having Twilight Sparkle in your bedroom was probably not a good thing. He sat down on his bed and patted the spot next to him trying to encourage Twilight to sit next to him. Needless to say that she didn’t budge, but it was worth a try. Thinking carefully about what he was going to say, and how to say it, the teen opened his mouth to unleash the most vague introduction line anyone could have ever used. “Hello, I am Paul.” Said the... no, said Paul. He looked down at Twilight, expecting her to say something, she could talk... right? Response or not, Paul had to ask the inevitable question that was plaguing his mind “Twilight, why are you here?” The unicorn kept her mouth firmly sealed. This was going nowhere fast with simple open questions. Paul thought it best to spill out what he was thinking about while pacing, and he wanted Twilight to see his train of thought before his own mind managed to derail it. “Twilight, you are not from here. So therefore you must have gotten here somehow. I am guessing magic. However I am guessing that you didn’t come here on your own will, since you have no supplies or food. I also noticed a distinct lack of Spike, meaning that you came here without warning. If it was a spell the backfired, you’d probably be punishing yourself inwardly, but I saw no signs of internal torment until I said your name. So my conclusion is that you, Twilight, were sent here against your will by somepony... or something, else. Would I be correct in assuming this?” Paul finished. He surprised himself at how intelligent he sounded. In his head it was so simple, but in words it was like an interrogation, the sort of thing Sherlock Holmes would do. “Am I right, Twilight?” Twilight nodded slowly, showing she understood. Paul put his hands together and pointed them at Twilight. “I am going to ask you some ‘Yes: No’ questions to get to the bottom of this and to stop you being scared... Is that okay?” Twilight nodded. Let the interrogation begin. “Okay... First, are you still scared of me?” Twilight nodded in response, understandable. “There is no need to be, I will not harm you. But I have a feeling you don’t trust me, would I be correct?” Twilight nodded again. “Okay. So I will have to earn your trust later... Next question. Was Spike with you when you Teleported?” Twilight by this time had sat down on her haunches and calmed down greatly, that didn’t mean she liked this one bit, but she may as well be comfortable. In response, she shook her head. “Right I am out of ideas. Without you saying anything, I can’t get to the bottom this. Please, tell me what you saw... even if you’re scared. Please?” Paul pleaded. If he managed to get Twilight to say something about what happened on her end, this could shed light on everything. Twilight prepared what she was going to say in her head, she thought it over multiple times. Eventually, she opened her mouth and broke her unofficial vow of silence. “I was in the Library looking for a book. Spike was sat on a step eating his breakfast. Out of nowhere, a bright light filled the library and took Spike. Then a bright light appeared near me... then I.. I.. I don’t know what happened then. But I woke up when a thing beeped and you kicked me in the stomach. We both know what happened after that.” Twilight explained. She still wasn’t happy, she did definitely not want to say anything, but it’s not like it could get any worse. Meanwhile, Paul was mulling over what she had said. The bright white light she mentioned was interesting. “Twilight, about the light. Was it a bright white flash?” Paul asked. Twilight nodded. “Was it at all similar to the light that flashed when Discord did anything during his takeover?” Twilight nodded again and started to look like she had an answer. She slammed her hoof down in anger and realisation. “So Discord sent me here... but he was imprisoned. But still, that explains everything. And you just happened to find me, not ponynapped me. Oh this is such a relief!” Twilight concluded. “I am so, so sorry not trusting you... I still kinda don’t, but I trust you more now I know this was accidental!” Twilight was up on all fours again, cantering slowly around the room. Paul was relived, and worried about the situation. Relieved in the sense that he figured out what happened and that Twilight no longer wanted to spear his kneecaps with her horn. Worried however by the fact that just hit him, it was that he has a pony in his house and has no idea what to do now. It was only a matter of time until his parents were up and would come in to say good morning. As if on cue, Paul heard his parents’ alarm clock ring from down the hall. Paul had to make a lightning decision about Twilight. Let her get discovered and explain everything or... “Quick Twilight, get in the cupboard!” Paul ushered Twilight, who was just saying “Why?” over and over again, into his rather large cupboard. Just as the cupboard door closed, his bedroom door opened. “Morning Paul! Up already? Eager for college are we? That’s what I like to see. Do you want breakfast? I’ll get you some. Did you have a good night’s sleep? Okay, bye!” His mother closed the door again and descended the stairs. Twilight poked her head out of the closet. “I take it that was your mother...” Twilight said. “She doesn’t wait for answers to her questions, does she?” “Nope. Anyway. Danger over. My Dad never comes in my room so you can come out of my cupboard now” Without hesitation, Twilight got out of her hiding place. “Are you not scared of me anymore?” Paul asked. “Not really, I thought you were this big tough monster that would eat me, but it turns out you are just a kid!” Twilight concluded. “A kid? I’m 18!” Paul responded, a little offended. “18? I am older than you still. I was 20 last September, and I moved away from my parents when I was just 10.” Twilight boasted. She hopped on to the bed and started to get comfy. “I still can’t believe I was scared of you. You’re not dangerous, just a little... er... different. Not a pony.” Twilight managed to get comfy on Paul’s bed and slowly went back to sleep. Paul was stunned at her quick turnaround from just knowing his age... and he was stunned at how old she was. Sudden realisation hit Paul. He had Twilight... THE Twilight Sparkle on his bed. Unable to contain the fangasm any longer, he stared at her face. After about ten seconds, her eyes snapped open, she looked irritated. “What!?” She said. She didn’t like being stared at, even moreso while sleeping. “Sorry Twilight, I am not used to having magical unicorn ponies from another dimension in my bedroom. Sorry for staring.” Paul rubbed the back of his head, and quickly lowered his arm. That was a bad habit picked up from too many Anime cartoons. “That’s all well and good, but it’s not like I have ever seen one of you... things before. And I don’t stare at you.” Twilight retorted. “And another thing, when I wake up, I want a thorough explanation on how you know about Me, Spike and Discord.” With that, Twilight closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep. “PAUL! BREAKFAST IS READY” Paul’s mother yelled from downstairs. Paul exited the room quietly as to not wake Twilight. He took one last look at her and made a little ‘Squeeee’ noise before going downstairs to get his morning food. To be continued: //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight's Story: Part 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight's Story: Part 4 Mush Presents A ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ Fanfic ‘Away from Home’ Twilight's Story: Part 4 Paul’s Mom just stood there, staring at Twilight. To her credit, Twilight was staring back at her with eyes like dinner plates. Twilight was mentally scolding herself for her introduction; she was the protégé of Celestia for goodness sake. Meanwhile, Paul’s Mom was trying to think of something to say to explain the situation. After opening and closing her mouth a few times like a fish, she managed to defuse the situation with a statement of upmost intelligence and judgement. “Unicorn.” That was all that escaped her. To be honest, it was accurate to a point. She carried on staring at Twilight, who by now was trying to think of a way to defuse the awkwardness of the situation with more than one word. “You do know it’s rude to stare, don’t you?” This worked with Paul, maybe staring unknowingly is hereditary. Twilight tilted her head a bit to the left. “Well?” “Oh.. uh. Right. I am going crazy again. I need a coffee.” Paul’s Mom shook her head violently to clear her thoughts and shut the cupboard door on Twilight’s face. She stood back from the door and stared at it for a while. “Talking unicorns in the cupboard, what am I, a kid?” She scolded herself. “Well, I better put the kettle on and watch some TV. Hopefully I can forget about this whole mess.” Paul’s Mom turned around and picked up the rather large bundle of washing she collected off of her son’s floor and marched downstairs to the kitchen, mumbling more about her hallucinations and how much more recently they have been occurring. Twilight put an ear to the cupboard door, she could hear Paul’s Mom go down the stairs and away from his room. “That... That was too close. Luckily, she thinks I am not real. I don’t know if I should take that as luck or as an insult.” Twilight pondered for a second on what just happened. “I better get out of this cupboard, it stinks in here.” Twilight reached out for the door handle with her magic, imagining it to be in the same place it had been on the outside. Her face dropped when she couldn’t find it. She illuminated her horn and looked at the door proper, all she should see was smooth wood where the handle should've been. “Ah ponyfeathers.” Twilight cursed. About 2 hours later, Twilight had finished reading the small box of books she had found in the cupboard. She questioned to herself as to why Paul stored these great little books in a small box in this tiny cupboard, this ‘Thomas The Tank Engine’ character was a really nice guy and the books were well illustrated. Twilight slumped back against the door, bored. Her horn was still glowing with a low level illumination spell; she could keep that up for about three days if she needed too. She knew Paul would come back eventually and let her out, but that didn’t stop her being really, really board. Then, somewhere in the purple illuminated cupboard, a low vibrating sound could be heard. Twilight searched for the source of the sound and found a small, chunky devise in one of the coat pockets. She levitated it out and had a look at it. It had a small screen on it, like the one on the desk, and on the screen it read; “Dave ~ 07629701789”. There were two small buttons, one that was green and one that was red. Twilight knew from common knowledge that green often meant good (apart from when it came to magical auroras) and red meant bad. She pushed her hoof to the small green button, the vibrating stopped and the devise spoke. “Hello? Mom?” It was Paul’s voice coming from the small block. “I forgot my phone and I am calling from Dave’s. Hello?” Paul was addressing his mother, who was not present. “Paul! It’s me, Twilight!” Twilight spoke back to the small devise. “Are you okay? How did you get in there? Do you need help?” She was worried about her friend, he was trapped in a small blocky thing. “Twilight? Aw snap. Listen, I am not trapped in here. It’s a communication devise. But that’s not important, what is important is how you found my phone. Where was it?” Paul asked. “In the cupboard... with me... and the door won’t open.” Twilight replied, falsely smiling at hope to make the answer sound less daft. Over the phone she heard the sound of a palm meeting a face. “Great. Just great. Right, think, think think...” Paul spoke to himself. “Is my Mom home? You may need her help to get out of there, I won’t be home for another six hours, its only 11.” “I have met your Mom... she thinks I don’t exist and made a coffee.” Twilight explained. “How can she help me now?” “Fantastic! I have Twilight Sparkle stuck in my cupboard and my Mom thinks she is hallucinating again.” Paul raged. He then calmed down a bit before continuing. “Just... Try to get her attention again. Her name’s Sue by the way. I don’t want any of ‘Thank you for saving me, Paul’s Mom’ business. Hay, it may even get her attention.” “Okay. Thanks Paul... er... How do I stop this thing?” Twilight asked, poking the block. “Never mind about my phone, I’ll deal with that. Okay, Dave’s coming back, I gotta go. Bye.” Paul shut off the connection. Twilight slumped against the door, thinking again. The only way out within the next six hours was to call for Paul’ Mom to come and save her, or teleport. However, teleporting in unknown locations with objects everywhere was just asking for trouble. He gave her permission to interact with the human and even her name, Sue. She would come for Paul if he were in the same situation. Twilight perked up at her sudden idea. She tried to recall how Paul’s voice sounded, and used the voice covering spell she learnt not all that long ago when she needed to be Fluttershy to convince a little mouse to get out of her house. She inhaled as much of the smelly, musty air as she could. “MOM? I NEED YOU UPSTAIRS FOR A SECOND!” Twilight put her ear to the door to hear Sue’s confused mumblings and the stairs creaking under her weight. Twilight heard the bedroom door unlatch. “Paul. When did you get home. You’re usually home lat... Paul?” Sue was looking around the room, expecting to see Paul hunched over the desk doing work he needed help on. “What in the world?” She commented. Twilight saw her opportunity and took it, she thought quickly of a reason Paul would be in the cupboard and tried to get her attention. In Paul’s voice she said; “I went into the cupboard to get my... uh... phone and the door shut.” She paused for a second and waited for the response. “Paul... I don’t know what I am going to do with you. Here, let mommy help.” She said in a teasing tone. She went forward and opened the door again, expecting to see Paul. She looked around the small space and her eyes rested yet again on Twilight. “Hello unicorn of my mind, we meet again. Goodbye.” Sue said and went to slam the door again. Twilight started to panic, she was acting irrational again. “Suewaitdonotclosethedoor” Twilight panicked and put her hoof between the door and the doorframe, hurting it in the process. “Buck, that hurt...” She said under her breath. She looked through the small crack in the door to see Sue staring at her. “Sue... Please can I get out of this cupboard, it’s not a very nice place to be.” Twilight tried again, this time the confident approach. Sue just nodded and complied, letting Twilight out of her little prison. She looked up at Sue and smiled the most genuine smile she could manage and thanked her for letting her and apologised for scaring her earlier. Now the two were stood facing each other in Paul’s room, both not knowing what to say or do next. Sue was staring at Twilight’s face, trying to piece together the situation. Meanwhile, Twilight was unwilling to move just in case she scared her again. Eventually Sue shook her head and took her eyes off of Twilight. “What... are you?” She said, now visibly shaking. “I am a Unicorn Pony of Equestria.” ‘Take it slowly, Twilight’, she thought to herself. “Oh... ok... why are you here? Are you going to kill me?” Twilight was quite taken aback by the last question. She wouldn’t kill a fly... she might. She’d never kill anything intentionally though. “What? No. Why would you think that?” Twilight responded, trying to calm down the frantic woman. “Your horn... that’s what it is for right? Stabbing things?” Sue pointed at Twilight’s horn, as if she didn’t know it was there. “No.  A unicorn uses his/her horn to concentrate the magic within the pony. Also, horns are useful at knocking over glasses of milk.” Twilight tried some light comedy to calm her down. “So... how did you get here? Why are you here?” Sue was visibly more relaxed now; she was still on edge though. “I was sent here against my will by the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony.” Twilight answered. “And I have no idea how to get back.” She looked at the ground and drew a circle with her hoof in the carpet. “Oh you poor thing!” Sue’s mood suddenly changed from scared to sympathetic. “You’re lost. Are you hungry? Do you need a drink?” She fired her questions a mile a minute at Twilight. “I am a little thirsty...” Twilight responded, kind of creeped out by the sudden mood change in the woman. “Do ponies drink coffee?” Sue asked. “I would love a cup.” Twilight responded, and followed sue downstairs to the kitchen. ‘Crisis averted.’ Author's Note: I will start on the other pony's stories once they seem too settle. Then I will come back to them randomly to update. Between each new pony's story, I will write a chapter about what has happened in Equestria. As you have just read, Twilight has settled into Paul's home. Next I will write Lyra's story. ~Mush //-------------------------------------------------------// Meanwhile, in Equestia //-------------------------------------------------------// Meanwhile, in Equestia Mush Presents A ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ Fanfic ‘Away from Home’ Back in Equestria Celestia just got Discorded. The Spirit towered over the once great leader, laughing his manic laugh. Celestia stood still, defeated and not quite feeling herself. “Oh come now Celestia, it’s not all bad. You still have a sister to talk to, go and tell her everything is okay.” Discord teased, flying around the throne room casually eyeing the stain glass windows. While he was looking at his own stain glass self, admiring how his horns have been represented, Celestia teleported off to Luna’s sleeping quarters. *** A bright flash filled the small room, the Princess of the Night was woken from her daily slumber by the sudden flash caused by the arrival of her sister. “Cele... Its 11am, what do you need?” Luna groaned and shielded her eyes from the light streaming through the curtains. “Oh... Luly. I just wanted to see how you are.” Celestia teased, she used Luna’s least favourite nickname for a reason. “Are you enjoying it down here, in Equestria? Better than the moon any night, am I right?” Celestia leaned forward and elbowed Luna in the side, punctuating her teasing question. “Cele, you know how I feel about that subject, please do not bring it up again around me.” Luna took a good long look at her sister, her eyes adjusting to the light. “Cele... are you grey?” Celestia looked herself over, noticing that she was indeed grey. “Does it bother you Luly? Do we not like grey, because it reminds us of the moon?” Celestia teased further, bringing in the Royal We to poke at Luna more. “Cele, please stop. Are you feeling alright?” Luna was getting worried, sure her sister played jokes on her, but this was too far, even when Celestia was... intoxicated. “Oh, I have never felt... Crater. You could say this feeling... Rocks!” Celestia was trying not to smile at her bad lunar puns. “You know, I feel freer than ever right now, like I have all of the... Space I need. And, by the way, thanks for the... Comet on my colour, it really is quite suiting. I just hope my better looks don’t eclipse yours.” Celestia was throwing pun after pun at Luna, her face was distorting from suppressing her laughter. Meanwhile, Luna was crying into her pillow, bad memories re-surfacing. Celestia saw this, and considered her job done. She cantered out of her living quarters, still laughing her flank off. Discord was watching the whole thing from outside the window, he too couldn’t stop laughing. He decided to follow Celestia to see who else she would antagonise; unfortunately for Discord... she spotted him. “Oh Hello Discord. Lovely day, isn’t it?” Celestia said, giddily. “Me and Luna were having a discussion about a certain giant rock in the sky.” “I know, my dear Celestia, and what a fantastic show it was.” Discord clapped his mismatched hands together, producing a different sound each time. “I agree, my puns... rock.” Celestia said, her face contorting again at the pun. “Now now, let’s not over do it. Chaos needs to be different to be funny. So stop the puns and cause some chaos worthy of a Goddess.” Discord announced, trying to stop the bad puns. “Okay, I pumice I will stop. Let me just magma mind up about what to do next. You know, these puns are your fault. You’re at the epicentre of all of this. Do you want a drink, I have a glass of tectonic. I lava good joke, don’t you? I think I am driving you mantle.” Celestia kept throwing horrifically bad puns at Discord, who was getting very annoyed. He put his hand to her mouth to make her stop talking and leaned in, quite angry. “You know Celestia, since you like rocks so much, how about you BE ONE!” With this Discord grabbed Celestia’s horn with his eagle claw and shot a burst of magic into her. The Goddess’s eyes shrank as she realised what was about to happen. It started from her hooves. A small crusty exterior expanding up her legs toward her body. Within a few seconds her lower portion was rock hard and cold, even her tail had frozen in place, drooping without the solar wind. The crust inched its way up her neck toward her face, and started to solidify her hair. Her face froze quickly, in a permanent expression of horror, looking up toward her horn. Her horn was the last thing to crust over beneath Discord’s claw. Discord opened his eyes to look at what he just did, a very evil smile crept across his face and a glint of insanity flashed across his eyes. “I may not turn ponies into stone, but you’re not a pony, Goddess.” Discord spat out the last word with discuss. He wheeled around to walk away, when he noticed a crowd of very, very angry ponies looking back at him. It just hit Discord that he turned Princess Celestia to stone in the centre of Canterlot. ‘Should’ve banished the residents of Canterlot instead...’ “How DARE you!” A white unicorn pony with a monocle and a top hat in the crowd yelled out at Discord. “How DARE you turn our beloved Celestia to stone! Take this, foul heathen.” He lowered his head and shot a bolt of magic at Discord, who continued to stand there looking at the pony, smiling like a fool. The magic blast hit him square in the face, and did absolutely nothing. “Oh come now, a puny pony trying to take down the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony. This is pathetic.” Discord mocked. “You will crash and burn, I swear. You will not be long for this world.” The pony retaliated. “Oh, and just who are you?” Discord leaned in inches away from the unicorn. “My name is Fancy Pants...” The pony replied, looking quite scared now, but he stood strait and spat in Discord’s face. “And you will go down, draconequus.” “Oh yeah, you and what army?” Discord mocked, looking around as if an army were to appear. Fortunately for him, only one pony strode through the crowd. 'I thought armies of hundreds were meant to appear when I say that...'. This white unicorn was wearing platinum Royal Guard armour, and was closely followed by a pink Alicorn. “Oh Mr and Mrs Armour, we meet at last. I am Discord, the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, how do you do.” The Spirit lowered his eagle claw for a shake. Shining Armour refused. “Whoo. Somepony is uptight today." Discord held his hands up in defence "Well, that’s the reaction I’d expect from a pony whose sister I just banished from this world... Whoops. Let that slip, sad.” “You WHAT?!” Shining armour yelled. “YOU DARE HURT TWILIE...” Shining Armour let the threat hang as he charged his horn. This is when Cadence stepped forward, furious. “And we will make you pay.” She said quietly and calmly. The calmness of which made Discord look a little worried at the sincerity. The two ponies stood side by side, aiming their horns at Discord, they slowly touched their tips together. Now, with a two horns combined pointing at the Spirit, Discord was growing worried, he got his claw out ready to snap himself away to a safe place. However, at that moment the duo let their spell loose. It was the same spell they had used against Chrysalis a few months back. Discord put up a fight however, his own magic holding back the blast. The other ponies in the crowd noticed this, and all unicorns pointed their horns and Discord also. The Pegasi readied and Arial bombardment while the earth ponies formed a charge. United, they could overthrow the king of Chaos. Almost at the same time, the unicorns all let out their most powerful defensive spell they knew, some just tried to levitate Discord. The extra magic collided with Discord’s hands, as that is what he was holding back the blast with. He slid back across the street back toward Canterlot tower under the force of about a hundred unicorns attacking him. The Pegasi were coming in hot toward Discord, Soren leading the ‘attack force’. Just before the Pegasi collided with Discord, she managed to snap his fingers together for a teleportation spell. ‘Anywhere but here, anywhere but here, anywhere but here, anywhere but here’ He thought over and over again as the spell was taking effect. His vision went white as he phased from one spot to where-ever he was going to end up. He never got to see the humorous sight of around one hundred Pegasi collide with a massive chocolate cake. A/N: There, the Equestria chapter. Right, now to do another few 'Pony arrives somewhere' chapters and back to this. Don't forget to point out any errors you see, I am not the best at scrutinising my own stuff. //-------------------------------------------------------// Lyra's Story: Part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Lyra's Story: Part 1 Mush Presents A ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ Fanfic ‘Away from Home’ Lyra’s story Lyra was sat at her table scowling at an empty plate in front of her. “Hurry up Bon-Bon! This plate requires cake and at the moment it is lacking.” Lyra complained in the direction of the kitchen. She then looked back down at her plate. “Don’t worry Mr. Plate, you won’t be lonely for long.” Bon-Bon poked her head around the doorframe from the kitchen, not looking pleased. “I am the one baking this cake, not you. Maybe if you got off of your lazy flank and helped the cake would be ready sooner.” Lyra just sat at the table, looking between Bon-Bon and the plate on the table. “But that requires effort on my part, and you know where I stand on that.” Lyra retorted. Bon-Bon turned away, muttering to herself. “Knowing you, you wouldn’t stand on anything.” Bon-Bon went back to making their cake. ‘Lyra really is very lazy, and she never does anything around the house.’ Bon-Bon thought to herself. ‘But she is a good friend, and she did warn me about that one colt being a paedofilly. What did I see in him? And this is her house after-all, she lets me stay here for free. So maybe she isn’t so...’ “CAKE. NOW.” ‘Never mind’. Bon-Bon finished her mental reasoning about her lazy friend and put the now finished cake on a plate and balanced it on her back. “Coming Lyra. One Sec.” Bon-Bon rounded the doorframe to the dining room, making sure the cake stayed put. She saw her friend leaning forwards on the chair, slightly drooling at the cake. Lyra couldn’t believe her eyes, the cake was marvellous. The chocolate centre of the cake, between the two puffy layers of chocolaty minty goodness, was slowly leaking out of the cake toward the plate. Every step Bon-Bon took shook the cake. The thick, creamy icing wobbled and the cream and strawberry mountain on top swayed like some kind of creamy pendulum. “Oh I can’t wait.” Lyra rubbed her front hooves together. “This cake will be... indescribable.” Suddenly, right in front of Lyra’s face, the room was filled with a bright white light emitting from where Bon-Bon was. The light was blinding and Lyra shielded her eyes with her hoof, sadly this had little effect. After a few seconds of extremely bright light, the room returned to its normal state. Lyra removed her hoof and opened her eyes, expecting to see Bon-Bon. However, all she saw was the remnants of the cake spread out on the floor, and shortly after that incident, Lyra blacked out. Unbeknownst to her, she was also enveloped by a white light that disintegrated into nothing. Lyra stirred out of her impromptu sleep when a large droplet of rain decided to land on her muzzle and took a trip into her open mouth. The cold sensation caused her to blink her eyes open slowly, only to have another drop follow its friend’s advise and land directly in Lyra’s eye. “Ahh. Stinging... Okay Bon-Bon, I am awake, what happened.” Lyra stood up in the now torrential downpour blinking. “Turn the shower off. It must’ve been one crazy...” Lyra opened her eyes fully now that the water was out. “Night.” She just let her statement hang, as did her jaw. Lyra looked around and quickly realised she was standing in the middle of a small street lined with identical buildings. However, these buildings were nothing like the ones back in Ponyville, they were not as brightly coloured, although one building was thatched at the end of the street. Lyra turned to look down the other way, seeing what she could through the torrent. Same small houses with little plots of land in front lined the street the other way as far as she could see before it bent around a corner. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a little green street sign. She trotted over to it to read where she was, maybe she was in Manehatten. ‘Trotting Lane’ was all that the sign said. At least she was still in Equestria, probably some small town. She had given up in wanting to know what happened to her; she thought it best if she didn’t know. Lyra shivered. This rain was getting cold. She turned to the nearest house and walked up the small path to the door; she raised her hoof to knock but paused just before. ‘What if these ponies don’t like guests?’ she thought to herself. She shivered again. ‘But who would say no to a cold pony, especially when that pony is Lyra Heartstrings, Ponyville’s number one Lyrist? Nopony, that’s who, now knock on that door’. Her conscience had stroked her ego enough for her to try a tentative knock on the door. There was no reply. She banged a bit harder. ‘The pony inside was probably asleep’. However there was still no reply and now she thought about it, the lights were off inside and it didn’t look to lively to begin with. She began to consider trying the next house, but thought against it, besides, she was dry here on the doorstep as the little porch kept the rain off of her. Without much thought, she curled back up into a little minty green ball and slid off to a cold, wet sleep. Dreaming about the cake that turned out to be a lie. “Rain. Not what I need on a Monday.” Alice complained to herself as she drove along the small windy roads leading home. “Seriously, it was like, 20 degrees a week ago. Julys aren’t what they used to be.”Alice drove at a slow pace around the streets in the early evening. For this time of year it was extremely dark for 7pm, but that would coincide with the monumental downpour. She took the turn into Trotting Lane slowly, making sure no-one came out of the Pub at the corner of the road in a drunken daze. It was a nice Pub, and definitely an old one. The entire town was old, but the pub was the only building to retain its thatched roof. Alice gently pulled up in-front of her house and reached over to get her coat. She was dry now, and she was definitely not getting wet between the car and her house. Opening the car door and setting foot outside to a small splash. She hurried toward her door, looking for her house keys. It was only when she actually got to her door that she tripped over a small mint green package on her doorstep. She looked down at the blob to notice that it had ears and tightly shut eyes, not to mention the fact that now she looked at it, it also had legs. ‘Who has a mint green dog anyways?’ was her first thought. Her second thought was ‘Better bring the poor thing inside, looks frozen’. Alice gently unlocked the door and slid her arms slowly under the sleeping green thing. ‘I have no idea what you are, but you’re damn cute.’ Alice gently carried it inside and set it down on the nearest sofa. She turned around and shut the door slowly as not to wake it. She also undid her coat zip very slowly and crept to garage to hang it up. She opened the door and turned the light at the switch, where a spider was having a nap. “GAAAAHHHH!” Alice screamed at the top of her voice as the relatively large garage spider ran as fast as it could along her arm and onto her torso. “GETOFFGETOFFGETOFFGETOFF!” She screamed at the little devil. She tried to swat it with an umbrella but accidentally smashed a vase with her elbow. Eventually, the spider decided to jump off of Alice and scamper into a box of magazines. From the other room, she heard the thing wake up. “Oh bloody hell.” A/N Sorry this took a while, I had college to tend to. I'll try to be quicker, but no promises. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Mush Presents A ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ Fanfic ‘Away from Home’ Prologue Celestia's Sun was rising once again, cresting the dramatic peaks of the Canterlot Mountain range, on which the great city perched. A great shadow was cast down upon the towns below, extending as far as the Everfree Forest. One of the few small towns still in the shadow of the mountains was the quaint little town of Ponyville. Fluttershy's cottage, being closest to the Everfree, was the first to be released from the mountain's dark embrace as the sun inched ever higher in the sky. The pegasus inside however, was already awake busying herself inside putting the nocturnal animals to bed for the day. The shadow of the mountains retreated still, gently revealing a Ponyville that wanted ‘five more minutes’. However, there was already one pony up and about near the Apple’s orchard. One by one, the trees of the orchard were welcomed to the light of the sun, and so too was a pony doing some early morning apple-bucking. This pony however, was not Applejack, but her brother Big Macintosh, who has been around for the last hour bucking trees for the early morning market in Ponyville square. The shadow retreated more, revealing yet more of Ponyville. Curtains were opening and very tired looking ponies peeking out over the world. Between the houses and cottages buzzed a little orange filly on her paper-route, stifling a yawn or two  and moaning occasionally about the cold and being awake at such an outrageous hour. Copies of the 'Foal Free Press' gently planted themselves on the doormats of the houses Scootaloo buzzed past, a few being dragged inside by tired ponies in dressing gowns and bath robes. The last building in Ponyville to get bombarded by Celestia’s early morning light was not really a building at all. It was more along the lines of a huge tree that had various balconies sticking out of it, some of them had telescopes, and others were used like outside living areas with wooden tables and chairs. Inside the library however, things were not so peaceful. Twilight was galloping around the library in a tizzy while Spike sat on the stairs and watched the event unfold while eating his cereal. About half a mile away from the waking town, a lone serpentine figure stood. Not much could be seen of its details, other than its eyes were glowing yellow and red, and in a determined frown. The silhouette raised its claw and clicked its talons, a small flash of light burst from where the claws made contact with the palm. This was followed with similar random flashes of light all around Ponyville as the population slowly decreased. “Now where’s your precious ‘Elements’, Celestia?” *** “What do you mean ‘Ponyville is empty’?” bellowed Princess Celestia at an alarming volume across the throne room. Her vocal outburst echoed throughout the large throne room, her hardened guards-ponies flinched a little at the volume. The poor messenger pony up in front of her throne, who delivered the message, never stood a chance and was startled. She fell back onto her hind-quarters and tears began forming in her eyes. The note she delivered was still hovering in front of her face in the mighty grasp of Celestia's magic. "What is this, some kind of cruel joke?" Celestia accused the little pony further. “It is not my fault, Princess, I swear. I was coming from Cloudsdale with many, many letters and when I arrived in Ponyville... it was empty. It was as if somepony went and ate them all, but didn't because nothing eats ponies, but it would have done if it did eat ponies.” The grey Pegasus wailed, defending herself against the apparent accusations of the Princess of Equestria. “Oh, I am sorry, little pony. I shouldn't buck the messenger. But this news is startling; I have never seen a whole town get deserted over night before.” Celestia replied. “Are you sure they weren't all in bed?” “Nuhuh. I went over to the Apple’s place and they were all gone. They are always awake early and sometimes Applejack gives me a muffin, but they weren’t there so I didn’t get one.” Derpy hung her head remembering her lack of muffin today. “I see... Well, I apologise to you, little pony, for any false accusations I put towards you. Here, have that muffin you never got, it’s on me.” Celestia’s horn glowed slightly and a muffin appeared out of nowhere in-front of the Pegasus. “Enjoy, my little pony.” “Yes, Princess. Thanks Princess.” Derpy cheerfully smiled at the Princess and flew off with the muffin. Some royal guards looking a little bit more than confused at the scene that just unfolded. An eerie silence then followed, Celestia had an odd feeling in the back of her mind... as if she was being watched. “Oh Celestia," came a disembodied voice, "why did you have to give her the muffin you know I wanted so?” The low rumbling voice echoed through the throne room. The guards stood firm, looking for the mystery pony. “Oh don’t bother looking for me. I am all but a voice in your head; now leave the room while you still have one.” The two guards exchanged looks, looking between themselves, the door and the princess. Together, they decided it would be best to leave, and then galloped toward the exit, completely deserting the princess. “Discord. Why are you here? How did you escape?” Celestia asked the empty room. She was keeping an eye on the stain glass windows, for Discord used these to communicate last time. “Oh, she knows who I am. 10 points awarded to you, well done Celestia.” Discord scoffed. “And don’t be looking at these, as Rarity put it, ‘tacky windows’ for me. For I am right behind you, watching you.” Immediately after these words echoed throughout the room, Discord’s ugly self appeared behind Celestia’s throne, and subsequently turned the throne into chocolate fudge. Celestia jumped up from her now sticky throne and turned to face Discord, who was eating some of the now fudge-ified throne. “Okay Discord, start talking! How did you escape? And what did you do to Ponyville?” Celestia commanded, she fired questions at Discord, giving him no time to reply. Discord just stood there with a goofy, toothy grin on his face, waiting for her to finish. “First, I escaped because two brothers decided to have a fight in-front of my statue in the gardens." Discord shook his head at Celestia "Didn't you learn?". Discord raised his lizard like claw and inspected it for dust. "Second, I sent them on a little holiday.” Discord finished, he was nonchalantly filing his claws, some dirt dared to cling to them. Celestia stared at him for a while in sheer disbelief, she was considering fetching the elements right away from Ponyville. She could teleport there and back and Discord would never notice, but Discord might be able to... “Read your mind? Maybe so, but I am no petty thief. Here, have them.” From behind him, Discord acquired the Elements of Harmony and threw them at Celestia. “They won’t do any good though.” Discord commented, taking another bite off of the throne he was leaning on. "They do suit you though". “What is this, and why don’t I just turn you back to stone right now and banish you, then lock you in a dungeon in a place I banished you to?” Celestia threatened, making a very un-princess like snorting noise between breaths. “Because, I know, and you know how these elements work." Discord lectured, "These aren't really the Elements at all, are they, these are just tools to use them, to harness them." Discord poked the Element of Magic. "The real elements went on holiday, remember?” Discord finished, he had thought this plan through and was not about to give any chances, but he was Discord, and he wanted to riddle Celestia. Before continuing however, it was of utmost priority that the throne should now be made of whipped cream. “Where did you send them?” Celestia commanded, stamping a gold-tipped hoof to the floor. “Oh you really are boring, aren’t you?" Discord chided "Fine, I’ll tell you, but I’ll only tell you my way.” Discord loved the opportunity to repeat things, Celestia just facehoofed. “The location of your Elements Is in a place that constantly invents They have spied on us for nearly a year But yet they are nowhere near The truth that is so tragic Is that this world contains no magic So the only way to retrieve the Elements of harmony Is to give Equestria over to me.” “I will never surrender Equestria!” Celestia bellowed. She was angry, Equestria was all she lived for. “Then you will never see any of Ponyville again. Never to see you faithful student Twilight, nor her pitiful excuse for a dragon, Spike. Never to gaze upon the beauty that is ‘Lady Rarity’. Never again to see anypony... ever, ever again.” Discord finished his crippling speech, triumphant. He scooped some whipped cream throne and ate it, he offered some to Celestia. "You can't just... You... Monster!" Celestia stuttered. "How could you just kidnap an entire town and hold them hostage? How do you live with yourself?" "I live by creating chaos, dear. Now, surrender Equestria over to me. I swear by the name of Chaos I will not harm other ponies... much." Discord grinned and glanced toward Celestia. "Also, we have whipped cream." "I refuse... It goes against every fibre in my body. It goes against all morals and everything." Celestia looked down at the floor, had hanging lo "But you have won." Celestia lowered her head so much so, that her tiara slipped off and slid toward the feet of the Element of Chaos. He bent down and picked it up, and put it on his head, upside down. “Oh it’s just fabulous darling!” Discord announced, studying himself in a mirror that was just floating in the middle of the room. “Now give me back my little ponies!” Celestia commanded, "As you said, you are no 'petty thief'". She looked at Discord who sighed and leaned over to Celestia. “Celestia, petty theft is stealing 6 little jewels. This is... Grand Theft Pony, and that I will bring myself to. Also... being the Spirit of Chaos, what can I do?” He asked her, Celestia gave no response. “I can lie through my teeth!” Discord started to laugh, a low laugh. It soon escalated into a full raucous laugh that filled the chamber. Celestia was miffed; she hung her head in utter defeat and shame. Her mane stopped flowing in whatever wind it was flowing in and hung low. Then, starting from the tip of her tail, the colour slowly drained out of it. Her Cutie Mark, that appeared to shine with its own glow, was dim and greyscale. Her majestic mane, now hanging loose, looked like the spectrum of all the grey in the world. Her eyes lost their magenta glow and settled for a greyer colour. Celestia just got Discorded. //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight's Story: Part 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight's Story: Part 3 Mush Presents A ‘My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’ Fanfic ‘Away from Home’ Twilight's Story A few hours later, Twilight stirred in the strange bed that she had fallen asleep in what felt like a few seconds ago. However, according to the increased amount of sunlight streaming in through the window, that was not the case. Twilight took the opportunity to gaze around the room, taking in the surroundings of this new place. She was pretty sure she wasn’t in Equestria anymore, but what this place is remains a mystery. “Paul?” Twilight softly called toward the closed door. It was only then she noticed the rather large piece of paper on the floor at the foot of the bed. She was still drowsy from just waking up, so she shuffled across the bed to read the note “Good Morning Twilight If you are reading this, I am at college. The house should be empty, but keep an ear out in case it isn’t, we don’t want anybody finding you here. I still find it strange that you’re here in my house, so please do not touch anything valuable. You probably don’t know what’s valuable here, so if it has a little light on it, leave it. Don’t leave the house; doing so will surely expose you, also it was raining when I left. As for your explanation, go over to my computer (the black square on the desk) and move the mouse (black blobby thing). A picture of you should appear on the screen. Don’t freak, please. Click the left button on the mouse once. However before you do so, prepare yourself. This may be a shock to you. There is another note on the desk with a very short explanation. But you’re very clever, so I imagine that you could figure it out on your own. ~Paul” Twilight read the note through a few more times, just to make sure she understood it all. ‘Don’t let people see you’ seemed to be the point Paul was trying to get across. Twilight wondered why, but then she assumed the explanation on the ‘computer’ thing would explain that. Twilight jumped off of the bed and managed to land on all fours... just. She was still a bit light headed from sleeping, and her legs were still asleep. Regardless, she hobbled over to the desk and climbed, rather clumsily, onto the swivel chair so she could see the top of the desk. Sure enough, there was another note on the desk attached to the screen. “Hello Twilight If you are reading this, you are at my desk. Messy, isn’t it? Anyway. This is a warning. I told you to prepare yourself. This may be a big thing for you, and I definitely don’t want to give you an existential crisis. If you want to wait until I come home to do this, that’s fine too. If you are prepared, read on. What you are about to see is the introductory 2 part episode to Season 2 of Friendship is Magic. Friendship is Magic is a TV show in our world, and you are a character in the show. This is when you and the rest of the Element of Harmony defeat Discord. Please don’t freak... So, with the best of luck for handling the situation. ~Paul” Twilight sat back a little after reading the note. She read the part about her being fictional again, thinking about what Paul had said the night before, when he knew everything about her and her friends. Naturally, she was shocked at this. “That is...” Twilight was speaking aloud to herself, shock does that to ponies. “Actually very... uh, interesting. Why did Paul think I’d have an existential crisis over something as fascinating as this? That explains how Discord sent us here, he sent us along the dimensional plane that connects these two realities, and they only know of each other because the... uh, I guess the creator? Artist? Whatever. I guess our world somehow interacts over some kind of astronomical anomaly. I wonder if this applies to the Daring Do universe too. When I get back, and we defeat Discord, I will try and find out what spell he used to send us here and try to recreate it!” Twilight was too excited by experimentation in magical theory to hear the front door close. To her credit, it closed slowly. “I better do as Paul said. Right... so. The screen is this black thing with the note on and the mouse is this thing? Why is it called a mouse? Doesn’t even look like one. Well, better shake it.” Twilight was piecing together the various things on the desk. She picked up the mouse with her magic and violently shook it from side to side. The screen remained blank. “What? I shook it!” Twilight shook it again, even more violently. Screen remained blank. “Oh come on. I did what the note said. Gah!” She lowered the mouse onto the desk and pushed it away from her across the desk. The screen flashed to life, revealing Twilight in a balloon with Spike. “Oh look. It worked. Right, time to click the left button on the mouse...” She looked at the mouse for a bit, trying to get the orientation correct. “I guess the bit that says ‘Microsoft’ should face the user... me. So that makes that button the left one.” Twilight concluded, turning the mouse around to face her. She put her hoof to the left button and applied some pressure until it went ‘click’. “~tle Pony... Aaah ahh ahhh ahh. My little pony. I used to wonder what friendship could be~” A relatively quiet song was emanating from a small black box on the desk, in time with the pictures Twilight was seeing. Eventually, it showed Celestia sitting in her throne with a letter flying toward her. Twilight tried to get her attention, sh ethen blushed because this was a silly thing to do. “Celestia!” The image changed again to reveal the letter she received, the one with the Mane 6 in the photo. “I remember taking that picture. It was awful.” Twilight reminisced looking at the screen intently. ~A few minutes into the episode~ “If you’ll need me, I’ll be outside in the chocolate puddles with a giant swizzle straw.” Twilight laughed a little at her friend’s erratic and unfit statement. “You know, that was quite funny from a perspective where the world isn’t going to end.” Twilight said to no-one, she turned back to look at the screen. By now Discord was flashing about the stain glass windows. “Oh Celestia. You really can be so boring.~ ~Hay! Nopony insults the Princess!” Twilight watched her friend fly at Discord, and smack into the window. Twilight let out a little giggle at this, she never got to see that at the time, and she was too busy asking questions to herself about how stain glass windows can do that. “Paul? Is that you up there? I thought you went to college!” Someone yelled up the stairs. Twilight froze still in the chair. ‘I thought he said nopony should be home! What do I do now?’ Twilight was panicking to herself about the situation. She clicked the mouse again and made the episode stop and listened intently for anything else. After about ten seconds, she heard the stairs start to creak as the person downstairs was coming upstairs. ‘The cupboard!’ Twilight hopped off of the chair and rushed to the cupboard, she opened the door with her magic. Meanwhile the footsteps were on the landing, and getting closer. Twilight got in the cupboard and shut the door with her magic, she then lit her horn dimly so she could see inside the dark cupboard. The bedroom door slowly opened with a creek, and Paul’s Mom poked her head around the door, only to see an empty room. “Paul? Are you hiding? Come out now!” Twilight was being silent as possible, she dimmed her horn more, just enough that the glow illuminated the walls. Everything was silent for a minute as his Mom searched under the bed and behind the wardrobe. “Hm. Maybe I am going crazy. Oh well, might as well clean up this pig sty he calls a room.” She looked around the floor for a bit. “I don’t know why he just leaves his clothes here, and this purple thing is half in half out the cupboard.” Upon hearing this, Twilight looked down at her tail. It indeed was going under the door and into the room. She swallowed and tried to think of a way to avoid the inevitable. However, it was called inevitable for a reason. Paul’s Mom decided to pull upon the purple item of clothing, intending to get whatever it was out from under the door and into the wash bin. She pulled it lightly, and it didn’t move. She tugged again a little harder, still nothing. She bent down and put two hands around the purple thing and gave a huge tug, the thing didn’t move, but a yelp was emitted from the wardrobe. Paul’s Mom stood back a bit, shocked. “What... Doug? Is that you, you daft mutt?” She muttered. She leant forward and grasped the door handle and opened the door, she looked down at whatever she pulled to see a purple unicorn with a glowing horn. She just stood there staring at Twilight. The prise pupil of the Princess of Equestria, and one of the smartest ponies in Equestria, introduced herself with a flamboyant and explanatory single phrase. “Uh... Hi?”
