The "Great And Powerful" Defender

Magic Strike woke up once again, his dark grey coat  and dark brown mane glowing in the morning sun light, he got suited up for training not remembering the fact today he must go out to find his assigned pony, so the dark colored unicorn trotted out of his room seeing the normal new fillies crying due to the beatings and yells of there parents but he grew dull of all of this by now so he just passed them with easy and walked out to where his 'parents' where waiting for him, his dad giving a swift punch to the chest which was ignored due to the pain tolerance his dad spoke up "Magic! You are 1 minute and .45 seconds late! if it wasn't your day to be sent out you would have a broken nose!" Magic just nodded, he learned a long time ago silence is the best answer but then he realized what he said. He was being sent out!? Looks like he got suited up wrong, and it seems his parents noticed as they gave him another strong punch and a nag on how forgetting is not allowed and sent him back to his room to get set up properly...

After packing camping supplies, books, food, water, weapon parts, swords and such he went back out to his parents his mother spoke up this time in her oddly soft tone but knowing her shes not even near calm "Your pony who you shall be guarding is a pony named 'Trixie' we dont know anything about her other then shes inside Manehattan, now go! Before we give you a nice little beating..." And so with that Magic heads out with his pack, if he was not mistaken from the map he packed it will only take a weak or so of a walk...

Its been four days and he is slowly running out of food, he has been on a path, camping when its dark and only eating when he really needs to, but as he was walking, thinking that he was going to die out here he saw a town in the distance and so he ran, it took him a few hours to get there but when he did he was tired, hungry, and in pain so he walked up to the nearest pony who seems to be a bright pink pony with her back turned "Hey... You... Do you... Know where... I can buy some... Food and... Rest?..." The pink pony turned and gasp and then seemed to talk far faster then anypony should ever be able to...

"Omgareyounewherebecuaseilovemeetingnewpeopleandyousaidstuffaboutfoodandilovefoodandyouarenewheresoicouldthrowyouapartyandyoucouldeatbutwhoneedsrestwhenyouarepartying?Letmegetmyfreindsandthenwewillgothrowapartyjustfory--" Magic stuck his hoof in her mouth before she could give him a seizure from all the info going on in such a short time.

"Calm down you odd pink pony... I am in no mood or condition for this... Is there a inn or rest area?..."

The pink pony just shrugged before popping the hoof out of her mouth and saying as slow as pony-ly possible "Oh         Well           Sugar         Cube          Corner        Has         Food            And           Rent able         Rooms         So--" Once again the hoof was in the mouth to stop the slow mo pony from making him go insane.

"Look, just talk like i am talking" The pink pony nodded and moved his mouth away from his hoof once again

"Well mister you can rent a room at sugar cube corner and you can buy food but why not let me throw you and party then you can eat for free, rest for free, and have fun for free! Oh! Also my name is Pinkie Pie!"

Magic Strike sighed and said "Fine... you can throw a party... My name is Magic Strike..."

Pinkie Pie's eyes lit up even more then before "Magic Strike!? Do you know magic!? Because my friend Twilight Sparkle who will totally be at the party loves magic!"

"Ya... I do like magic also... Can you please just get the party ready? I need to ask some ponies about something..." Magic Strike said simply

Pinkie Pie nodded "Okie Dokie Lokie!" Then she hopped away happily...

After walking around a bit Magic saw a tanish colored mare wearing a cowboy looking hat and thought she might as well be a good person to ask, so he walked up to her "Ahem... Hello ma'am my name is Magic Strike, i am looking for someone" he pulled out a notepad with the name written down on it "Her name is... Trixie if i am not mistaken" The mare looked mad as the name was mentioned

"Oh you dare come into this town saying that name!? What do you want with that no good gloat!? Oh... I get it, you don't like her! Well i am more then happy if that's what you want"

Magic was shocked, he better not tell his mission to this ponies and so he just shrugged and said "She owes me something, regardless do you know how far Manehatten is from this town?"

She simply shook her head and opened her mouth to talk then everything went black, Magic could feel somepony has blind folded him and is carrying him, he is kinda confused why its so bouncy but regardless his horn flared to life in its dark red misty glow and he used a shock-wave spell, not lethal or harmful but good for getting away, he heard a familiar yelp as he cast the spell hearing somepony hit the ground as he floated out a knife, as he was doing so he has done a back flip to get farther away from the attacker cutting the blindfolds and he floated out his sword and got ready to charge Intel he noticed the pony who took him was Pinkie Pie staring at him confused at why he flipped out and why he had a sword ready...

After a few lies and some fake laughs Pinkie explained that she was taking him to the party so he slowly put the blindfold back on and let the pony carry him even though it felt degrading...

Once they arrived at the party many ponies who he didn't know where there even the one with the hat was there and loud dubstep was playing which hurt is ears and annoyed him so much... yet he delt with it because there was food on a table and so he started eating and drinking some punch, he was so glad to eat but he was inturped by a purple unicorn with bangs walking towards him "What do you want ma'am?" Magic asked the random unicorn

she chuckled "No reason to be formal, my name is Twilight Sparkle, i had a few questions" Magic felt like he didn't have the time for it but he knew it was just his mind doing what it normally does, but everything aside that doesn't matter to his goal yet he knew he could relax.

"Ask away..." he said as he nomed on a cupcake

"Well..." Twilight started "You seem quite hungry so my first question is why are you so hungry? Its kinda odd for a pony to just not have eaten for a long time" Twilight explained

Magic took another bite of the cupcake "I have been traveling for around four days now eating very little... Oh i forgot to say, my name is Magic Strike"

Twilight nodded and started her next question "My friend Applejack, the pony with the hat, said you where looking for Trixie? What do you want with her?"

"She owes me something, like i told her" Twilight seemed to sigh.

"She did tell me that but that just doesn't seem right, so whats the REAL reason you want her?" Magic growled silently at her doubt

Magic sighed again "Well..." Magic couldn't think of anything good so he used a quite dramatic answer "I love her" he said simply, his face still in his monotone expression

Twilight laughed "Oh you are kidding me right? I highly doubt you could like a mare like her!"

Magic shrugged "Its the truth, by the way i wanted to ask you about Trixie, i haven't seen her in a long time so what is she like?"

Twilight must have seen past his lie yet what she said and from what Applejack said he believed her "she is a show off and a jerk yet I feel there is something deeper to it..." Twilight seems to have trailed off and so Magic had a lie to hold

"Hmm... She doesn't sound like the same mare that I know..." But his mind said something else {~Ugh! No! I am going to have to deal with a no good show off!?~} and so he simply said to twilight "thanks for the info but I got a another question..." See nodded and so Magic asked his own second question "So how far is manehatten and what's the quickest way there?" Twilight thought for a moment

"Well unlike common belief that ponyville is three days walk away it really is ten to seven walking mattering on speed but there is a traveling merchant in town that could help you get there in a few days its a unicorn who basically set magic trails from every town and city then bound that spell to her wagon to move its self at good speeds he is heard to be leaving tomorrow morning so you  most likely could get him before he leaves..." Twilight said after a pause and after magic heard that he headed for the room he got for the night calling from behind him self

"Good night twilight sparkle..." And right before he even got to the stairs to go to his room the pink pony also known as pinkie appeared upfront of him

"Aww going to bed so soon? But Rarity wanted a dance with you when the slow song played..." A white coated mare with curly purple mane come from behind her and hit her in the head with a hoof

"I did not!" The mare said in a angry tone "I just simply wanted to meet him!" The mare who he guessed was said, and then... Magic chuckled, he hasn't chuckled or even laughed in many years, his parents beat that stuff out of his but then memories of him laughing then his mother beating him near death bubbled up and his eyes turned the size of pinpoints and he quickly yelled

"Don't hit me!!" After that he quickly coveted his mouth and ran to his room, those memories stinging him in a way he hasn't felt in quite a few years, and that night... He cried him self to sleep...
