It was a near perfect night. Luna was with one of her few friends, who had come for a visit. His name was Dracula. He wasn't the fictional evil COUNT Dracula, but he was a bloodsucker. Luckily for everypony that knew him, he drank animal blood. They were actually walking to go and have him meet Celestia. Luna was in front with Dracula to her right, slightly behind her. Dracula was just about to say something when they heard Celestia shout, "Luna! Look out!" Luna didn't know what she was talking about. Celestia then charged up her horn, which confused the duo even more, and shot Dracula with a beam of pure light. He then collapsed and died.
"Tia! Why did you do that???" Luna said, tears already streaming down her cheeks as she held one of her only friends' dead corpse in her hooves. She had even meant to tell him later that she had loved him.
"What do you mean? He was going to ATTACK you!" She retorted. "He even had his fangs out and an evil grin on his face!"
"Tia! Dracula was my best friend!" She managed to say while sobbing. "He would never hurt Anthony anyways! He drinks the blood of wild animals." It felt as if her heart shattered into a thousand pieces, each one stabbing at her soul.
"Lulu I'm sorry. I didn't-" she began.
"I'm sick of it Tia! I barely had any friends as it is. You have an entire nation to love you. I However do not. Why do you have to take away the only friends I have?" She couldn't take it anymore. She ran to her room with her crush's body in tow. Whether Tia liked it or not, this vampony would have a proper funeral, although during the night. She then cautiously set his corpse on the bed. She wasn't a fan of necromansy, but she gave him a real kiss. She then laid down next to his body and cried.
There was a knock on the door about fifteen minutes later. "Lulu? It's me. Tia. May I come in?"
She was still mad at her sister for killing him, but she didn't care. She sniffed and let out a, "yes." As she sat up on her bed. Tia then walked in.
"Look Lulu. I'm sorry I didn't know he was your friend. Otherwise I would not have done that. Is there any way I can make it up to you?" She said. But Luna was still a bit angry.
"He wasn't just my friend, Tia. He was my BEST friend. And I loved him too! Finally I had found somepony as immortal as me, and we were both basically a perfect match. But you took that all away. So no, there is nothing you can do. Now leave me alone!" She then pushed her sister out the door and locked it behind her. She then got sadder and sadder, until she started crying again.
"Why did she to this to him. He didn't deserve it." Her tears slowly dropped onto him, which she didn't notice. She also didn't notice that he was absorbing the tears either. She thought to herself what she would do now that he was gone. Her best friend. The one she loved. Fate is cruel. She then put his body into a midnight blue coffin, which he fit into nearly perfectly, and brought it with her to the castle graveyard. She set it down next to a spot when she started digging. She then remembered her duties, one of which to lower the moon. Despite her additive, she hurried off and promised herself shed get him the best funeral yet. Little did she know, that instead of being dead, Dracula had actually taken in a breath of air and escaped from the coffin. Maybe fate isn't so cruel after all.
