//-------------------------------------------------------// Warfare Equestria -by Midnight Twinkle- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting the Rebels //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting the Rebels Chapter 1      The clouds covered the moon as two figures sneaked behind a carriage, closer to the elves that had so harshly left them to rot with no money or food. The elves hadn't noticed them, it was going to be an easy kill. A cloud made way for the moonlight to shine on the assasins. One of them carried a sword and was crouched at the very edge of the carriage having a perfect view of the so called "high elves". Her hair was curly and pink and she had a murderous look in her eyes. This girl was called Pinkamena Diane Pie. Next to her Applejack shifted her position and looked over the edge, the elves were still babbling away, not realizing that this was their last conversation. Applejack flicked her blond, straight hair out of her face and got ready to jump on one of them. A cloud rolled over to cover the moon. This was the moment, they had to do it now. Pinkamena gave a war cry and jumped at the elf on the left. The elf screamed in horror as the pink warrior pushed her sword into his back. Applejack had made a soundless attack. The less noise the better, but oh well, the Empire was already after them any way.      "Pinkamena! Hurry, the soldiers will be here any minute." Applejack waved for Pinakmena to pull her sword out of the elf's back and run.      "Fine, fine! Fun spoiler!" Pinkamena obviously wanted to see the soldiers find the dead bodies. Well, you can't have everything.      The duo ran quickly through the streets of the palace and made their way to the farm. While elves slept in comfortable large beds, humans had to sleep in haystacks and wooden planks, so little there was money. And while elves could have a buffet everynight, humans sometimes wouldn't eat for weeks. This was the way things worked in Equestria and only few people would rebel against it.      As Pinkamena and Applejack reached the farm, the palace was awake and out looking for the bodies. "Did y'all have a succesful night?" Was the first thing they heard as Applejack's sister, Applebloom opened the door. You didin't have time for greetings at a time when the Empire was after you.      "A very succesful night indeed!" Pinkamena answered smiling murderously.      "Tell me about it, would ya?" Applebloom pleaded, she wasn't old enough to become an assasin but she really wanted to be!      "We were hiding behind a carriage spying on some high elves and when the moon was hidden by clouds we jumped. Oh, it was the best feeling in the world! Seeing and elf bleed to death." Pinkamena took out her sword that was still covered in the elf's blood. "Touch it, Applebloom. This is the blood that you will spill."      Applebloom eagerly reached out her hand and touched the blood. She smiled a wicked smile as it rubbed on her fingers. "You're right Pinkamena, it probably is the best feeling in the world, to see an elf bleed to death." She laughed and rubbed the blood on her fingers. It was cold and thick, it felt like the thick drink that she sometimes drank. "I can't wait to be an assasin." She laughed a cold cruel laugh that filled the room.     The palace clock striked for midnight. A shadow ran quickly through the halls with a bag of 500 gold coins in one hand and a dagger in the other. This figure was Princess Rarity. She was rebelling against the elves, against her whole family but she was too kind to let the human race disappear because of her. As she reached her room, Princess Belle her sister had woken up. She had no time to hide or explain so she dashed for her room running for her life. Rarity quickly scribbled a note and left it on her table. She tried to open the heavy windows but it was impossible. "How I hate making noise." She grumbled to herself as she hit the window screen with the dagger. She quickly grabbed her rucksack and her cloak and made her way through the window.      Keeping as close to the wall as possible and holding on tight to the ivy, Rarity climbed down. As her left foot touched the ground she sighed in relief. "What an awful climb..." She muttered frowning. Rarity sneaked in the dark corners of the streets, her cloak hiding her pale features.      Suddenly she stumbled along something. "Can't people ever clean—" The rest of her sentence was blocked by a her scream. Two bodies were lying on the ground in a pool of blood. "Keep calm, Rarity." She panted, "You'll attract attention." She said with a steadier voice.      "There must be a reason why they murder," Rarity said, poking the body with her boot.      Her heart and soul screamed no but her hands did what they wanted and dug into the elf's pockets to find a stolen treasure. It was a locket. A heart with a leaf sprouting at the top. "It looks like a locket of love." She gasped. Who would be so cruel to steal someone's locket of love? By the looks of the locket it belonged to a human. Elves had diamonds and stars for their lockets, so "fantastic" they are, Rarity thought, disgusted of the way her people acted.     "Unbelievable how they act isn't it?"     Rarity jumped, how come she didn't notice someone spying on her?     "Don't worry, I believe we have the same goal." The voice spoke with courage and wisdom.     "Who are you?" Rarity breathed.     "There are some who call me the knight of the dusk, others say I'm a goddess. But to most people I am Twilight Sparkle, ruler of magic." Twilight Sparkle had lowered her hood and revealed her dark blue hair.     Rarity bowed at the newly winged goddess of Equestria. "With all do respect, what do you mean by 'the same goal'?" Rarity asked truing to keep her voice steady and strong. She had been noticed!     "I'm not here to steal or punish, Rarity." Twilight said     "Then why are you here?" Rarity asked still unsure about the goddess.     "I'm here to bring peace to this land." Twilight answered with determination.     "What do you mean?" Rarity asked in confusion.     "I've seen the way the Goddesses and Gods act, favoring the elves for their magical ability, leaving the humans to rot. Have they no empathy?" Twilight said angrily. "As for that locket of love, I think a little girl is looking for it right now." She continued more warmly.     "A little girl? Do you know her?" Rarity demanded.     "I have a feeling where we'll find her." Twilight said starting to pick the other elf's pocket.     "What do you mean 'we'! I barely know you and you expect me to go with you? Well it's not going to happen, I'm going alone and that's it." Rarity turned around and marched off towards the town.     "Two is always better than one, Rarity." Twilight said. "Besides, I think you'll find this useful." She continued, holding out her hand in which she held a wand encrusted with small saffires. "I know you didn't bring a wand, you've never had one. Let me tell you a story, Rarity, the story of this wand. A long time ago your mother made a deal with a wand maker that she could have his best wand, she asked what he wanted in return and he said that he's decide by time. Your mother was waiting for you when she took this wand. When you were born the wand maker returned and asked for you as a payment for the wand. You were the first born child and your mother couldn't give you away so she gave the wand back, that is why you never had a wand, your mother always thought that this wand would fit you best. This wand now belongs to you Rarity."     When Twilight had started the story Rarity had stopped to listen. Twilight held out her hand so Rarity could take the wand.     "How do you know all this?" Rarity asked fingering the wand.     "I've had time to listen to such tales." Twilight sighed.     "Would you mind to come along with me?" Rarity asked shyly.     "It would be my honour." Twilight smiled and headed down the hill with Rarity.     It rained near the the cottage in where she was supposed to meet Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash became impatient, how hard was it to get past a few guards? Near her a birch tree's leaves rustled in the wind reminding her that she'd soon have to make her great escape without Fluttershy.     "R- Rainbow Dash?" Asked a small voice. "Is that you?"     "Yup, it's me waiting for you, what took you so long?" Rainbow Dash said helping Fluttershy out of a bush. In the moonlight Fluttershy's pale features looked beatiful, like a goddess. Suddenly Rainbow Dash didn't feel like scolding her anymore. "Let's go Flutters." Rainbow Dash said with a warmer voice.     "Yes, let's... Go." Fluttershy swallowed.     Rainbow Dash grabbed her arm and pulled her into the tunnel that she had recently dicovered inthe maids garden. Thorns scartched her bare arms and her wings but she was determined to get Fluttershy to the otherside so she could live a happy life without having to serve the elves.     Fluttershy always seemed so shy but deep within her heart she was a warrior, willing to fight for Rainbow Dash. How her hair shined in the little moonlight the brambles gave in to.     As the tunnel neared to an end Rainbow Dash saw that straight when you crawled out there were guards. "Rainbow Dash! We can't get past those guards! They're straight in front of the entrance!" Fluttershy panicked.     "Don't worry Fluttershy, we'll just fly past them, they can't fly!" Rainbow assured her.     "I don't think I can fly that fast Rainbow..." Fluttershy mumbled embarrased.     "I'm sure you'll be able to." Rainbow comforted her. "Okay, get ready to fly in, five, four, three, two, one and FLY!!!" Rainbow Dash shouted and dashed out into the cool air of the night. Fluttershy tried to fly as fast as she could but the guards were bowmen, an arrow hit her right wing.     "Rainbow Dash! Help!" She screamed.     Rainbow Dash turned around and dashed for her princess. There was no way she was going to let Fluttershy fall into the arms of those elves. She was still too slow to stop the fall and Fluttershy hit the ground head first. The guards were about to get her but Rainbow swooped in at the last moment and grabbed her unconcious goddess. Rainbow Dash flew as fast as she could as high as possible with Fluttershy in her arms.      She neared the town where humans that didn't serve the elves lived. She descended on the roof of a barn. Rainbow Dash lowered Fluttershy as softly as possible. "Please don't leave me Fluttershy." She pleaded. "I need you!" Rainbow Dash let her hands stroke the rose hair that fell way past Fluttershy's shoulders. "I love you." Rainbow Dash whispered, she wished Fluttershy could hear her but she was still as unconcious. //-------------------------------------------------------// There's No Place for You Here //-------------------------------------------------------// There's No Place for You Here Chapter 2     The town was nearing the travelers sight as Twilight Sparkle and Princess Rarity walked on and on in the rain. At first it was just a little drizzle but as time went on it had become a raging storm.     "How much longer yet?!" Rarity shouted over to Twilight who flew a little higher to see if danger came.     "I don't know. The rain is too thick!" Twilight answered, "But I think I saw something that looked like shelter a little off from here!" Twilight continued. "Come!" She grabbed Rarity by her hands and flew carrying her so they could reach shelter faster.     The shelter was in fact a barn. Old and shabby, yet somehow comforting.     "Hello? Anybody there?" Rarity asked her voice echoing on the walls.     "I guess it's empty." Twilight shrugged and stepped inside.     Haystacks covered the walls and a slight stench wavered in the air. "Is this really abandoned?" Rarity asked. "It's still so, new and un-abandoned..."     "I know right?" Twilight said looking around.     "Yes... So empty yet... Full." Rarity sighed.     "What are ya'll doing here?" Asked a southern accented voice.     "Who's there!?" Twilight jumped around to face a little girl with pastel red hair and amber eyes.     "What is a high elf and a goddess doing here?" The girl asked. "You'd think they'd be much more comfortable in their pretty little castles and comfy beds, am I right?"     "Well, you see—" Twilight was interrupted by another southern accented voice.     "Applebloom? Is someone there?"     "Sure is! A high elf and a goddess!" Applebloom sneered.     At that moment Twilight stomped her right foot on the ground and a black force field rose out of no where.     "I knew it." A blond girl had stepped in to the room. "It wasn't enough for the elves to make us rot with no money," She said with her eyes on Twilight. "They have to—" She stopped when her eyes moved form Twilight to Rarity. There was something about her, she wasn't afraid that she might die in a few minutes. She hadn't even pulled out her wand that she could see was in her pocket. She was... Different.     "Wait." The other elf whispered. "We're not here to destroy, steal or murder!" She continued with a louder voice.     "Twilight is right, I can't watch people starve to death while we eat ourselves fat, it's just disgusting." The high elf said.     "How do I know I can trust you?" The blonde asked.     "She means how do we know we can trust you, right Applejack?" Applebloom said crossing her arms over her chest.     "No, I mean I, you're still too young Applebloom." Applejack said serious.     "Come on! I managed to sneak up on them and still nothing? I should have earned a locket of love for that." She humphed.     "My name is Rarity, I only want good for my people, I cannot just stand there while you die!" Rarity said. Something about Applejack made her want to tell everything.     "There's no place for elves here! Get out of our sight!" Applebloom commanded.     "Now, now Applebloom, let's not be impolite, I think they're really here to help." Applejack said eyeing the elves.     "Are ya out of your mind?" Applebloom screeched.     "Maybe I am but. I think we should trust them. They would come with an army if they were going to conquer the lands. Besides they look weak and hungry, just like us."      "Fine!" Applebloom stomped out of the room with her head up.      "Thank you so much Applejack!" Rarity sighed with relief. "Here." She threw the bag of gold coins at Applejack's feet when Twilight had lowered the force field.      "If ya were here to help why'd ya use that?" Applejack asked pointing at Twilight who was still unsure and holding a black magical shield to protect her.      "Safety reasons, I've seen what you can do Applejack." Twilight answered, not lowering the shield.      "Ya'll got magic, ya should be able protect yourself without a shield." Applejack answered pointing to the ruby encrusted wand you could clearly see in her pocket.      "The shield's magic, I can protect myself." Twilight answered lightly.      "Ahaah..." Applejack rolled her eyes.      "Why do you believe us?" Rarity asked changing the subject.      "Because, you're different." Applejack shrugged.      "AJ? Applebloom said you needed to talk to me?" Came an unlikely high pitched voice asked from the door.      "One second Pinkie!" Applejack answered.      "Applebloom said there are elves there! I can hear the hesitation in your voice!" Pinkie said. "I'm coming in!"      A pink haired teen stepped in to the barn. "All right elves! I'm giving you one chance to get—" The rest was blocked by her gasp. She had laid eyes on that goddess, oh how pretty she was!      Twilight opened her eyes wide at the sight of the curly haired murderers, she was so, determined and... Lovely. Wait, what was she thinking? She must have been extremely tired, thoughts like that.      "We are going to let them stay, right?" Pinkie asked unsure. "They seem so... Nice."      "Couldn't agree more, they seem so trustworthy." Applejack smiled.      Rarity and Twilight shared confused looks. A warm fire had lit inside Twilight when she had heard Pinkie stand up for her safety. Rarity on the other hand felt like she was on fire herself when Applejack had laid trust on her.      "Thanks for the money sugar." Applejack said picking up the bag. "This is going to help a ton."      Before Rarity could answer a shout came from the roof:      "Flutters! You're awake!"      "Oh for Pete's sake! Is everyone gathering her tonight?" Applejack climbed to the roof only to be even more surprised by what she saw than when she met the elves. "Rainbow Dash? What are you doing her with Fluttershy?" Came Applejack's annoyed question.      "We escaped the elves! But Fluttershy fell down and hit her head, she can't really move." Rainbow Dash answered.      "Well she won't feel better in the middle of the night on the roof of a barn!" Applejack stated.      "I was about to go down but you didn't give me enough time missy!" Rainbow Dash snapped.      "Please Rainbow... I'll pass out soon again." Fluttershy whispered.      "Quick we must get her down before she passes out again!" Rainbow Dash took Fluttershy in her arms and flew down to meet Pinkie Pie and her guests.      "What are those elves doing here?" Her voice was as cold as an icicle.      "They're her to help! Trust me!" Pinkie said stepping closer to Twilight.      "Elves? Here to help us? Please! Elves are the reason Fluttershy is in this state now!" Rainbow Dash raised her voice.      "Trust me! They wouldn't harm a hair on Fluttershy! They weren't responsible!" Pinkie said stepping in front of Twilight and spreading her arms. "You are not laying a finger on them!" Pinkie Pie said with flames in her eyes.      "What's gotten in to you Pinkie? You killed an elf tonight and now you're acting like your life depended on their safety!" Rainbow Dash humphed.      "Pinkie is absolutely correct about us helping you! I hate my life as a goddess, no more fun with friends! Just war and murder!" Twilight snapped at Rainbow Dash. How dare that stupid avian say she was responsible for the hurt of someone she didn't even know? She couldn't have been happier of Pinkie standing right there protecting her.      "Fine, fine! I'll keep an eye on you two!" Rainbow Dash pointed at them.      "It's going to be a long time to spend here with her." Rarity said shaking her head towards Rainbow Dash.      "You bet." Applejack sighed and ignoring Rainbow's protests carried Fluttershy into a cozy looking house in the center of the farm.      As soon as they stepped in Rarity forgot all about the coziness. The house was a mess. She could barely hold her gasp as she looked at the dust piled on top of the book shelves and tables. Surprisingly, Applejack suddenly felt embarrassed when Rarity was walking beside her in the messy house. Pinkie on the other hand was using her hair to wipe the dust away, Twilight was a goddess and clearly used to better treatment, she couldn't see that Pinkie was living in a dusty old barn. Rainbow Dash just humphed at Applejack's and Pinkie's behavior, she had Fluttershy to worry about why should she even try to help the elves?      Rarity tried to smile but she really didn't feel like doing so, it was a grimace more likely. Twilight giggled like a little girl at the sight of Pinkie dusting with her hair. Pinkie smiled back from the top of a bookshelf and nearly fell over.      "Okay, this is ridiculous!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed when the hair-dusting and the smile-grimacing had been going on for and hour or so. "What's wrong with you Pinkie? And what about you Applejack?" Why do you suddenly care about dust when elves are around?" She demanded.     "It's not the elves!" Applejack said. "I've been tired of living in a dirty home for a long time! Why would I suddenly care for elves?"     "Exactly Rainbow! I want to live in a clean home for once!" Pinkie said. Twilight tried hard not to sigh, she thought Pinkie was special and cared for her. I guess I was wrong, she thought. Rarity tried hard not to burst into tears and sobs, Applejack had seemed so nice but she had probably just faked it so they would help them out of the complex situation.     "Perhaps we could help you clean?" Rarity offered as they walked into the kitchen.     "Like we need an elf to help us clean." Applebloom said from the stove.     "Applebloom, like I said, be polite!" Applejack said rolling her eyes.¨     "Can we help?" Twilight asked.     "What kind of hosts would we be if you had to clean?" Pinkie said laughing and putting her arm around Twilight. Twilight moved away, she didn't want Pinkie to fake it any longer, it wouldn't be fair if she had to fake it.     "Let us help! It would be better!" Rarity said enthusiastically.     "Sure, why not." Pinkie sighed, hurt from Twilight's move.     "Oh come on! Am I the only reasonable one here?" Applebloom cried out angrily. "Letting and elf help. Crazy!" She muttered to herself.     "Let's divide the chores," Applejack said, "Rarity and I will do the dusting and the dishes, Pinkie and Twilight can do the laundry and the cooking and Rainbow Dash can help Fluttershy get better.     "Sorry to interrupt but all four goddesses are meeting tomorrow when the crescent moon shines, I have to go to that meeting and explain the situation, it might help the situation." Twilight said.     "I guess you'll have to go to that meeting then." Pinkie snapped not even trying to make Twilight feel better about the situation. "Besides how is cleaning going to get us anywhere?" She humphed.     "Because we'll be more prepared and comfortable to murder or fight when we don't have to do it dirty." Applejack explained but in her heart she knew it was just to spend more time with Rarity.     "Right! How come I didn't think of that!" Applebloom rolled her eyes. //-------------------------------------------------------// You and I //-------------------------------------------------------// You and I Chapter 3     The sun was setting and Twilight was preparing to go to the meeting of the four goddesses. Rarity was getting parchment and ink from the house and Applejack was explaining to Twilight what would be the best way to approach the goddesses about the racial issue. Pinkie was leaning in on the house wall and looking at Twilight's figure. Oh how she wished she could help Twilight in that conference, how she wished she could always be there for her. She felt herself blush when Twilight waved good-bye specially to her and then took off flying towards the city.     As Twilight arrived at the castle everyone had arrived except Luna, the goddess of the night. When Twilight showed a confused look Celestia, the goddess of the day and sun, gestured at her to take a seat next to Cadence, the goddess of love.     "My sister, Luna has been caught at leading the troops of the Lunar Rebellion." Celestia began. Twilight gasped.     "That can't be possible! In the last meeting she declared that she was against the Lunar Rebellion!" Cadence said spreading her wings annoyed of the betrayal.     "Sadly it is." Celestia nodded sadly.     "Well, we can't shut her out of the conference, now can we?" Twilight asked trying to lighten the mood. If Celestia and Cadence found out she was trying to stop the racial war and was helping the two most wanted murderers in Equestria she would become an outsider just like Luna.     "Twilight, I don't think you understand the situation but it is not you to blame, Luna made the wrong choices and for a young woman like you they would seem harmless but they are not." Cadence said trying to be understanding.     "That's not what I mean!" Twilight suddenly jumped up from her seat. "We have bigger problems that the Lunar Rebellion! Think about the racial war! Innocent lives could be saved if you wouldn't favor the elves and leave the humans to die!" Twilight had made up her mind, this wasn't going to be like the usual meeting where she quietly sat and listened to the other goddesses babble away about their problems, she was going stand up and speak for herself.     "Twilight?" Celestia asked "Are you alright?"     "No I am not! If you will turn your backs on the help needing humans then I will turn my back on you!" Twilight said and marched out of the room.     "We've lost two goddesses already, what are we going to do now?" Cadence asked quietly.     "Give her until sunrise, then she is just like any betrayer." Celestia ordered coldly.     When Twilight returned the sun was rising, news about her treason had spread fast and she had to teleport to the town in fear of being caught and executed. As she walked towards the house Rarity came running from the house to Twilight to hear the news.     "Twilight! How was the meeting?" She said as she reached Twilight.     "Oh Rarity, it was awful! Twilight whispered.     "Why, what happened darling?" Rarity asked lifting Twilight's chin up to face her.     "I'm a betrayer, I-I talked about the racial war and they just-just ignored my worries and made me an outcast." Twilight cried with tears streaming down her face.     "Come on darling, we need to get you a nice cup of hot tea and you need to tell me everything, it'll make you feel better dear." Rarity said leading Twilight into the house.     "Goodness! What happened?" Fluttershy, who was finally awake, asked when crying Twilight and comforting Rarity walked in.     While Rarity was boiling the tea Twilight explained between sobs what had happened. "You poor thing!" Fluttershy exclaimed when the story had ended.     "I appreciate your concern Fluttershy." Twilight muttered still sniffing.    "I think some nice hot tea is going to help." Rarity said offering Twilight a mug of steaming hot tea.    "Thank you Rarity." Twilight said sipping the tea.    "No problem darling." Rarity said pouring Fluttershy a glass too.    "What are ya'll doing here drinking tea when there are chores to be done?" Came Applebloom's commanding demand.    "Can't we rest for a little bit?" Rarity asked, "I've been doing dishes all morning!"    "Too bad!" Applebloom said and pointed to the other pile of dishes that waited to be cleaned. Rarity sighed and got up and made her way towards the dishes.    "And you." Applebloom pointed at Twilight. "Pinkie's waiting to do the laundry with you!" Twilight made an even bigger sigh than Rarity but still got up and made her way towards the pile of clothes in a corner.    "Um, where do I wash these?" Twilight asked remembering that there was no laundry room in the house.    "There's a stream about a mile's walk from here, feel free to go there to wash them." Appleboom smirked.    Twilight rolled her eyes at the girl and walked out.     Rarity was busy scrubbing a plate when Applejack came in the kitchen.     "Need a little help?" She asked.     Rarity jumped. "Applejack! You scared me to death!"     "Sorry, sugar." Applejack said and took a sponge and started scrubbing at a pan.     "I was supposed to do the dishes with you not without you." Rarity pointed out.     "Again, sorry, sugar, I was busy helping Fluttershy." Applejack said.     "Helping Fluttershy, so you say," Rarity remarked coldly. "What about me?" She suddenly turned around with tears in her eyes. "I thought I meant something to you!" Rarity cried.     "You do, dear!" Applejack said holding Rarity close.     "Sure, my family wants me dead and all you care about is an avian who barely knows you!" Rarity cried in Applejack's warm grip.     "Listen," Applejack lifted Rarity's chin up. "I don't care what other people think of me falling in love with you, you and I were meant to be together." Applejack whispered in Rarity's ear. "I will protect you from those dangers."     "Oh Applejack.." Rarity whispered letting herself relax in Applejack's strong grip.     "I want to keep you close for ever." Applejack said stroking Rarity's purple curls.     "So do I." Rarity answered pressing her head against Applejack. She closed her eyes as Applejack leaned in for a kiss.     Twilight was already exhausted from the walk with all the laundry, now she had to do them without Pinkie's help, the pink murderer was helping Rainbow Dash take care of Fluttershy. Twilight sighed, she had so hoped her true love would have been there for her at the meeting.     "Twilight?"     Twilight jumped at the sudden voice.      "Why'd you leave without me?" Pinkie asked stepping out from behind a rock.      "I thought you told me to go." Twilight said looking down.      "Oh silly, why would I tell you to do that?" Pinkie asked settling down next to Twilight. "I told you to wait for me!" Pinkie laughed.      "You did?" Twilight asked embarrassed.      "Yes silly!" Pinkie said laughing more and more all the time.      "Oh, Pinkie, I'd wait for you for ever!" Twilight laughed, this time letting Pinkie put her arm around her. She leaned against her shoulder and looked at her reflection in the water.      "I've never been happier, Twilight." Pinkie said, stroking the straight, blue hair.      "Me either Pinkie." Twilight said.      "You make me smile." Pinkie said turning to face Twilight.      "You make me laugh." Twilight said leaning in.      There was a silence as their lips met.     The sun had long ago set, and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were watching the stars. Rainbow was holding her arm around Fluttershy to keep her warm. Fluttershy was leaning against Rainbow and looking up at the stars.     There were two stars close to each other, one that twinkled shyly and one that was absolutely bursting with light. Rainbow Dash looked at the two stars and thought that they were like her and Fluttershy. It was written in the stars. Suddenly Rainbow Dash turned around and pressed her lips against Fluttershy's. Fluttershy let out a little "mmph!" when Rainbows lips touched hers but soon she gave away to the protests and leaned closer to her loved one. It was a sweet kiss.     As their lips broke Fluttershy gasped, she had forgot to breathe but couldn't be happier, things had worked out with Rainbow Dash! She smiled at Rainbow and leaned in for another one, this one was much sweeter as they didn't break apart so quickly.     "Thank you Rainbow," Fluttershy whispered after their second kiss.     "We both knew it had to happen." Rainbow said smiling.     Fluttershy leaned in for another moment of happiness, Rainbow happily did the same thing. This time Rainbow had put her arms around Fluttershy and was pushing herself against Fluttershy, that's how happy she was.     As hours passed by, all the couples decided to get rest, it was not everyday you had the chance to kiss your true love.     Pinkie switched beds with Rarity to get a chance to sleep with Twilight and to give Rarity a chance to sleep with Applejack. The three couples slept close to each other.     Twilight saw only nightmares. She saw Pinkie fading away, screaming for her help but Twilight couldn't move, a tight grip held her back and Pinkie just faded away faster. She woke up gasping like she had held her breath, maybe she had. She looked at Pinkie, calmly sleeping without worry. Something told Twilight that the dream was about to come true.     Pinkie saw dreams that took her high up into the clouds. Twilight and her were together in a castle, or perhaps a church. Twilight was wearing a white gown and Pinkie had a suit. The wedding bells rang and Pinkie leaned in towards Twilight. She woke up straight, she loved Twilight sure but something had told her that the dream would turn into a nightmare after the kiss.     Rarity was dreaming of star watching with Applejack. She pointed out the big bear and the small bear to Applejack, when suddenly she saw that two stars were drifting apart, strangely, she looked over to Applejack to ask why when she saw that she was no longer there, she cried and cried for Applejack but no one answered. She woke up to find herself all teared up and stuffed.     Applejack had nightmares of Rarity turning her back on her. Like she didn't care. Applejack screamed for her to come back but too late, too figures had stepped out of the dark and one of them had pushed a sword into Rarity. Applejack horrifyingly saw that the murderer had her face. She woke up next to Rarity who was safe and sound. It still didn't make her feel better.     Fluttershy was falling from the sky unable to stop herself. Rainbow was falling by her side, they hit the ground and Fluttershy found herself lying next to the dead Rainbow in a small box. Is this the way it would end? Fluttershy woke up. She had to hear Rainbow's pulse until she could fall asleep again.     Fluttershy. On the ground. Not breathing. The world spun around Rainbow Dash as she saw her loved one dead. It was like a stab in the back. She woke up to find Fluttershy twisting and turning in her sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// The War Begins //-------------------------------------------------------// The War Begins Chapter 4     They woke to the sound of yelling and screaming. All of them hurried outside only to wish they hadn't come. It was an awful sight. The whole town was on fire and worst of all, the elves had started it.     "Rarity! Where are you?!" Applejack shouted.     "Applejack help!" Came Rarity's scream. "I'm trapped!" She shouted over the noise.     "Hold on Rarity! I'm coming!" Applejack shouted at her love. Applejack had trained in close combat and could jump high and far. She  held her breath and jumped over the fire and smoke to get to Rarity. Held in Applejack's strong grip, Rarity felt safe again and together they made their way out of town.     Pinkie Pie was running alongside Twilight who was gasping for air. Soon she would faint. "Pinkie, help." Came her effortless ask for help.     "Twilight?" Pinkie asked turning around. "Twilight!" She yelled as she saw Twilight about to faint. "Hang in there Twilight!" She took Twilight into her arms and ran through the up-rising smoke. Pinkie found Applejack and Rarity on a cart with just enough space for six, next to them was another cart good enough for Applebloom, Big McIntosh and Granny Smith.     Rainbow Dash was already carrying the weak Fluttershy towards Applejack's cart. Twilight was starting to wake up and heard Applebloom's scream for help. Twilight may have hated the girl who bossed her around but she wasn't going to leave her to die. Twilight flapped her wings as fast as she could to find Applebloom surrounded by elves with swords. She quickly flew down and grabbed Applebloom from the arms. It was harder to fly in the smoke but Twilight tried her best mostly holding her breath. When they reached the cart, even from that high you could hear Pinkie's and Applejack's sigh of relief. Quickly the two carts set off to find a new home.     In the cart Rarity leaned against Applejack. Applejack sighed at the loss of her home.     "I'm so sorry Applejack." Rarity said.     "It's okay sugar. It wasn't your fault." Applejack said with one tear rolling down her cheek.     Pinkie was leaning against Twilight and Fluttershy was sleeping in Rainbow's arms, it could be a long journey.     They had to stop for the night, they hadn't eaten all they eaten all day and every one was weak of hunger.     "Where will I ever find a home as good as my last one." Pinkie whispered to herself at the brink of crying.     "Don't worry Pinkie." Twilight said taking Pinkie's hand. "You'll find a new home. And no matter what happens I will stay by your side." She continued. "You're my happiness." She pressed her head against Pinkie's shoulder.     "And you are my love." Pinkie whispered back.     Rarity was sitting with Applejack, bandaging her burns. Applejack whispered something softly to her and Rarity giggled even despite the situation.     "I know it wasn't your fault that your family attacked us." Applejack said after Rarity had finished bandaging her burns. "They must have thought you were in danger, I don't blame them, such a wonderful girl must always be safe." Applejack said. Rarity giggled again.     "Applejack, thank you for not blaming me. I know I deserve it." Rarity said looking down at her crossed feet.     "You know you don't." Applejack said lifting Rarity's chin up. "Nobody could blame you for something you didn't do!" Applejack stroked the wavy hair.     Rainbow Dash was cleaning Fluttershy's injuries when Fluttershy lifted her head up.     "Rainbow, as much as this situation is bad, I can't help but feel happy you're with me." Fluttershy smiled.     "Me too, Flutters." Rainbow smiled back.     They were about to repeat last night but Applebloom interrupted them. She interrupted everybody.     "It's happened." She said loudly. "The war has begun!" Everybody gasped.     "You're right!" Pinkie said loudly, "The elves declared war when they lit our village on fire!"     "Couldn't agree more!" Twilight said supporting Pinkie.     "Also, I have to thank someone." Applebloom said looking at Twilight. "Twilight Sparkle saved me from a dozen of elves, without her bravery, I wouldn't be here now. Thank you Twilight." Applebloom finished. Twilight smiled from next to Pinkie, she had known she would gain the little girl's trust somehow.     Pinkie leaned in to kiss Twilight in congratulation and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash finished their own moment of last night. Applejack's and Rarity's lips met again that night too. Even without hope, everyone found comfort from their loved ones. There was love in the air.     Applebloom looked at Applejack and Rarity, still deep in a kiss. On an ordinary day, she would have yelled at Applejack of falling for an elf but today was not ordinary, besides, both of the elves had proven their worthiness.     They slept close to each other, getting warmth form each others presence.     As the first rays of sunlight hit the land everyone was up and going. Applejack was riding the horses who were pulling the warriors cart and Big McIntosh was riding the other horses. Applebloom had tried to find herbs and berries fit for breakfast but without result. Twilight was sitting next to Pinkie writing in a leather-bound book and Rarity had straight away gone to sit outside with Applejack to watch the sunrise. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were both asleep for they had stayed up almost two nights straight.     Rarity was riding the horse next to Applejack as the sun rose.     "Isn't this so romantic?" Rarity sighed.     "Yes, the war scene just completed it." Applejack joked.     "Oh Applejack." Rarity laughed a melodious laugh.     "You know, I've never ever felt a spark between a person." Applejack said.     When Rarity turned horrified, Applejack laughed, "Until I met you." She finished.     "Well, I have felt a spark between other people but I have never felt a flame." Rarity topped Applejack's sentence.     Applejack laughed at Rarity's way of thinking, such a wonderful girl, she thought.     When the sun was at it's peak a small town came into sight. It wasn't odd that this town appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. It was odd that it was floating in the air. They could see hundreds of avians flying through the streets.     "Rainbow! Fluttershy!" Applejack called. "I think we've reached Cloudsdale!"     Rainbow and Fluttershy both looked out at the same time. "Fluttershy! We're home!!!" Rainbow shot across the sky laughing. Fluttershy followed, slower but perhaps even happier than Rainbow.     "I can see my family!" Fluttershy happily cried and speeded towards the town.     Rarity watched happily as the two set off. She was glad they could find trust in their own kind, not in the first stranger they met. Still, she was happy with Applejack.     "Rarity do you realize what this means?" Applejack asked taking Rarity's hand in her own.     "Well?" Rarity asked playfully.     "We found a new home! Surely avians must let us use this town as a temporary home!" Applejack smiled. "Come on! Let's go see it!"     Rarity hesitated, the avians didn't look happy, they looked like slaves, besides, the high platform village reminded her of her nightmare. Like when she looked up Applejack would disappear.     Rainbow Dash was the first one to reach the gates. She was glad she did for Fluttershy was not to see this. Nor were the others. The sight was awful. Anyone who stood up at the Rebellion and favored Celestia or the Sunlight's kingdom must have been excecuted. Rainbow or the others weren't favoring Celestia for reasons but they weren't with the Rebels either. Rainbow Dash stopped everybody with the wave of her arm.     "What is it Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy asked shyly. Rainbow shushed her. Not harshly but roughly enough to make Fluttershy look down at her feet hovering in the air. Flying had always been a tough subject for Fluttershy. Her wings won't carry her as fast as others and she was the slightest bit afraid of hights. She shouldn't have looked down. Her wings froze and she let out a small 'eep' as she saw the ground.     "Fluttershy I told you to keep—" Rainbow was silenced as she saw Fluttershy falling down. It was around fifteen metres to the ground and she had already reached halfway through. Fluttershy's eyes were closed amd tears were flowing from them as she fell. Her lips mouthed the sentence:     "Good-bye Rainbow."     "No!!!" Rainbow shouted and flashed towards Fluttershy. "I can't let you go already when I just got you." She said quietly as metres became centimetres and Fluttershy fell closer to her doom.     A flash of grey stopped her. Somebody had taken hold of Fluttershy just mere millimetres away from the ground. The avian descended down with Fluttershy holding tightly to his shoulders.     "Thunderlane? Is that you?" Rainbow asked. You could barely recognize the avian from under the scars. He had been through a lot. Fluttershy was still shaking in Thunderlane's arms. Rainbow quickly stepped forward and helped Fluttershy down. Fluttershy squeezed herself against Rainbow tightly and softly cried into her shoulder. Rainbow wrapped her arms around Fluttershy's head and pressed her nose into her hair to inhale that foresty, earthy smell. She wasn't going to lose her. Thunderlane sighed as he watched the two hold on to each other tightly. As his eyes moved on to Applejack and Rarity both holding hands and looking warmly at the two his smile faded. An elf. In the base of the Lunar Rebels. As his eyes moved on once again and set on Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle he inhaled quickly. Pinkie turned around from Twilight and raised her eyebrows at Thunderlane, "What?" She asked rolling her eyes.     Thunderlane didn't answer but jumped up and flew behind Twilight and took hold of her hands and gripped them tightly behind her back. Twilight gasped from pain for he had a strong grip. Twilight tried to move her hands but as she did so she felt the pressure tighten around her wrist with a cold strong grip. She inhaled quickly from the pain. She moved her wrists again only to feel one snap under the pressure. The pain was unthinkable. Black spots appeared in her eyes as the pain made her black out. The last thing she saw was Pinkie running at her with her arms forward. That's when she realized Thunderlane had put handcuffs on her.     Pinkie Pie shouted Twilight's name until she realized Twilight was hanging limp in handcuffs. "What did you do to her?!?" Pinkie screamed and took out her sword and wildly sliced at Thunderlane's neck. Thunderlane dodged quickly with Twilight limply hanging from the handcuffs he held in his hands.     "Trust me. It's for the best." Thunderlane said grimly and flew in the gates. Pinkie Pie's hair straightened and her pupils went small as she looked at Thunderlane's fogure already quite far away in the city streets.     "Uh Oh." Applejack said backing up. "Watch out. The real Pinkamena is here." She said pulling Rarity away from Cloudsdale.     "You'll be very sorry Thunderlane." Pinkie Pie whispered loudly. "You'll be very sorry for messing with Pinkamena." Pinkie jumped up all fifteen metres like it was nothing and entered the city.     "We have to go after her! She might hurt someone!" Fluttershy said quickly flying up to enter the city.     "Fluttershy wait!" Rainbow shouted and flew up to her. "Our families are not in there. That's the base of the Lunar Rebels." Rainbow Dash said already holding Fluttershy incase her confidence betrayed her.     "It... It is?" Fluttershy asked shaking all over.     "Yes." Rainbow said holding Fluttershy tighter.     "Oh Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy weeped into Rainbow's shoulder as the bad news registered. "I thought I could start a new life without war here. Now I see I will never find complete happiness. Oh how I wish I had fallen." Fluttershy shook.     "Don't say that. I would have killed myself if you had left me." Rainbow said stroking Fluttershy's hair. "I only just got you."     Fluttershy wiped a tear away. "Rainbow?"     Rainbow Dash wiped another tear away with her thumb. "Yes?"     "Will you promise to stay with me for ever?" Fluttershy looked up into Rainbow's magenta eyes.     "Of course I will!!" Rainbow said holding Fluttershy close as they descended to the ground only to be stopped by Thunderlane's voice.     "Halt! By order of our leader, I here by declare Princess Twilight to be excecuted and the rest of you imprisoned in our base, Cloudsdale." Fluttershy gasped.     "Twilight's going to die?" She said squeezing Rainbow's hand.     "So is this one." Thunderlane kicked the cuffed and gagged Pinkie off the edge for Applejack to catch and lay on the ground. Pegasi flew down to cuff each one of them. Fluttershy panic and struggled only to have her wrist snap just like Twilight's. Rainbow glared at the soldiers but said nothing. It was important for a jail break to have your mouth ungagged. Pinkie stood up with her hair poofy again and tears streaming down onto her gag. Even through the gag you could hear her worried whisper:     "Twilight..."     They were each roughly carried up into the city. As they entered Cloudsdale Rainbow realized she still had her wings to fly with only to groan in pain as they were chained together making her unable to fly. Fluttershy didn't just groan. She shouted in pain as her wings got chained up.     Rainbow turned around: "You little..." She jumped. High. Her feet hit the first guard. She jumped over her cuffs and used them to push another guard down. Thunderlane was the third one to hit the ground unmoving. The other guards fled from the rainbow coloured hurricane. Rarity jumped over her her cuffs too so she could reach her wand. Everyone followed their example and jumped over their cuffs. Pinkie Pie had Fluttershy remove her gag. Rarity jumped up and flicked her arm in which she held her wand. A blue light swished out and broke the chains and cuffs that held the warriors.     Rainbow nodded her head at Rarity as a thank you. She shouldn't have suspected anything of her in the first place. She was okay. "Now let's go save Twilight!" Pinkie shouted in to the sky.     "Let's do this!" The rebels shouted.     "Together!" Fluttershy mumbled.     "Together." Rainbow smiled.     "The war won't end until justice!!!" Pinkie shouted and ran with her friends towards the arena. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Lunar Rebels //-------------------------------------------------------// The Lunar Rebels     Windows and doors banged shut as they walked through the streets of Cloudsdale. "I bet everybody saw what happened there. We are in such trouble." Rainbow laughed.     "I for one find it the least bit funny that the Lunar Rebel guards will be on us any moment." Rarity glared at Rainbow who shrugged dismissevely.     "How about focusing on the one thing we're here for: Finding Twilight." Pinkie snapped at the two.     "Sure, sure, whatever." Rainbow made a shooing gesture with her hand. Rarity humphed. They had been walking for a while without anyone attacking.     "I wonder where everybody went to." Applejack looked around still expecting an attack. "I mean, we have a fugitive, a murderer and a person who is due for executi—" Applejack gasped midway. "The execution! Quick! We haven't got a second to loose!" Applejack made her way towards the center of the city followed by Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.     "Why the hurry?" Rarity asked between breaths.     "Yeah! Why are we running for our lives?" Rainbow crossed her arms in air.     "I just realized why nobody's around!" Applejack panted. "Twilight is due for execution and I think it's a public one which means everybody must be at that arena!" Applejack pointed to a small arena in the center of the city.     "Does that mean Twilight could already be—" Pinkie made a gulping sound.     "I'm not sure but we might still be able to make it." Applejack said stopping for a breath. She leaned on her knees and coughed and spluttered. Rarity put a worrying hand on her back tapping slightly. Appeljack straightened up as Pinkie sped past her in a pink colored cloud of smoke. Fluttershy stretched her arm out as if just by making a certain move she could stop Pinkie from speeding into the arena. Obviously it couldn't.     People cheered and yelled as Pinkie reached the arena. She shook her head a couple of times fearing for the worst. As she opened her eyes she breathed in relief. Twilight was alive but chained up on a pole. The view was completely from the middle ages as avians came and layed timber down on the floor all the way around the pole. Pinkie growled under her breath as a Goddess she'd never seen before carrying a torch approached the pole.     "A genius plan if I do say so myself." The goddess laughed. "Turning all these innocent little people against the Goddesses."     "You'll never get away with this Chrysalis!" Twilight spat. "Once I get to Canterlot the Goddesses will hear all about you!"     "From you? I doubt they'll believe a betrayer like you!" Chrysalis laughed. Twilight looked down with a single tear drop.     "As for you, human, I believe I have something for you to do." Chrysalis turned to Pinkie Pie. "Take my torch. Now." As Pinkie Pie shook her head defensively Chrysalis laughed. "Thought so. Obey." A shocking pain went through her body like lightning. Her head was splitting  with the feeling and she screamed. "Obey." The words rang in her head like a bell. "The pain will stop once you obey." Slowly, each movement causing a new stab she stepped forward to take the torch. "Excellent. Light the timber up. Obey, peasant."     Pinkie Pie looked at the desperate Twilight who looked like she was already in great pain without the timber being lit up. "Obey." A small jolt went through her body. It wasn't nearly as bad as last time. A much softer voice soothed the pain away.     "Put the torch down Pinkie Pie. Please." It wasn't causing any pain at all. It was blowing it away. A gust of wind played with her hair and she closed her eyes and set down the torch. She heard a sigh of relief from Twilight.     "What! An impossibility! How can you resist such pain?" Chrysalis asked shocked. Twilight closed her eyes in deep concentration and poof, she wasn't chained to the pole anymore.     "Maybe you haven't heard of it but there is such thing as magic." She shouted happily as she grabbed Pinkie's hand and flew up in the sky. "Come on everybody! This is your one chance to get out of here she shouted at the rebels.     "So Celestia can capture us?" Came the reply.     "So that we can starve in a week?"     "To be used for slave trade?"     "No thank you!" They shouted in unision.     "Our lives ar perfectly fine thank you very much." A woman carrying a small baby avian shouted.     "We are all even here. Unlike anywhere else." A man spat crossing his arms.     Twilight watched tearfully as each one of the villagers denied her offer, they truly thought they had good lives. Twilight wiped her eye several times as they flew  out of the arena. As they reached outside the group cheered happily. "Twilight! You're alright!" Was repeated several times. "We were so worried that you were, you know..." Applejack coughed. Twilight didn't join in the celebrating, the villagers had all denied her offer, no-one had even hesitated. Something about that bothered her, how could someone deny an offer of a good life, balanced with money, food and a job It was unsettling.     So what had this Chrysalis done to them? What had rocked them off balance so much that they couldn't see their own lives? She breathed through her nose annoyed. Pinkie, on the other hand was perfectly fine, seeing as she hadn't seen it all. The bloodthirst in their eyes, the madness in their voices. Who had replaced them with emptied shells? Was it Chrysalis? Or someone else? Maybe it was Princess Luna? Possibly.     The questions ran about in her mind and she felt tired. They set camp within magical boundaries and safety spells. No-one could walk in. All others fell sound asleep after probably the most terrifying day in their lives of being captured and nearly executed and almost murdering someone.     Twilight still layed wide awake.     She tossed and turned in her sleeping bag but nothing. Not even the hint of tiredness washed over her, although moments ago she could have fallen asleep in no time. She rose into a sitting position and stared at the tent wall.     She got up slowly, carefully not to wake anyone and snuck out. The sun was deep behind the woods and it was dark. She pulled her hood over her face and walked to the edge of the city. She smiled as she flew up easily to the edge. She was going to learn something new!     No-one was out there on the streets either. Except one girl. She was crouching under cardboard, something that was obiously her home. Twilight's heart jumped of sadness. The conditions they lived in     "Hey there, little one." She whispered with the calmest of tones.     The girl looked up her eyes wide as the moon. "H-hello." She whispered back.     "Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to know your name." Twilight stated softly crouching to the girl's height.     "O-okay. But I don't really have one." The girl sniffed.     Twilight stared at her in horror. "You don't have a name?"     "The villagers call me 'kid' but I don't think that counts." The girl nodded. "I hate it here on the streets but there's nowhere else. Everywhere I go I'm hated. All the time." She leaned her face in her palms.     "You're not hated. I don't hate you." Twilight's slightly developed maternal instinct wrapped a comforting hand around the small girl.     "Really? But. . . You're one of them. The racist people. The race dividers." The girl sniffed.     "I used to be one. But I'd rather give it all away than see everyone suffer. Can you tell me why no-one leaves this dump and serves that Chrysalis?" Twilight stroked the purple spiky hair.     "I don't know why. I'm just the kid. Nothing more." The girl sniffed.     "But you know the most. Because you can't avoid conversation. Anything. It all passes down to you once and then it goes round again, doesn't it?" Twilight smiled.     "I guess. . . But this is just what I've heard. A while ago, when the rebellion had just started, a strange goddess came to Cloudsdale. She didn't say what she wanted but she told us that the goddesses were evil, and had to be stopped. She came and she never went. I've seen it. I've seen it all. I've seen them, their eyes the way they look. It's like they can't trust what they know anymore. I've been avoiding her. I don't want me to disappear. I don't want to become an empty shell like them. I want freedom." The girl sniffed. "They don't listen to their senses anymore. At all. They're like machines. Fake things."     Twilight sobbed once. It had been the Canterlot Wedding all over again. Except now the victims can't do anything anymore. The girl started crying harder, of fear of everything happening to her too. She sobbed loudly and Twilight stroked her hair and hushed her, cradling her ever so slightly.     "I have a story to tell." Twilight finally managed to say. "Once upon a time, in a beautiful land, people were divided. Two lovers and their child were separated and the child was left to fend for herself. For years and years she searched. She cried for her parents but they never came. All night long she searched, and all day long she worked to keep herself alive. But it wasn't enough to keep her healthy. Unnamed and forgotten she stayed on the streets mourning. But one day, a woman came by. She saw her crying. She sat down and listened to her tale and took her under her wings. Ever since then the girl lived happily ever after. She even got a name. It was Scootaloo." Twilight finished her tale, giving a soft kiss on Scootaloo's forehead.     "Thank you, Twilight." She sobbed into Twilight's cloak. "Thank you ever so much." She cried.     "Scootaloo." Twilight whispered. A name she would have given her child.     Slowly, Scootaloo's eyes started fluttering and she fell asleep on Twilight's lap. "Hush, baby now. Let the worries slip away." Twilight sang softly. "Hear the flute as it hums you to sleep. Hear the cello which soothes you with it's bass voice. Sleep quietly, my child. And let the worries slip away." Twilight finished and took Scootaloo in her arms and walke out of town, minding her step.     She wasn't greeted a pleasant surprise.     "Twilight! I've been so worried!" Pinkie shrieked and scrambled to her giving her a huge embrace "Where were you?" She scolded.     "I'm sorry Pinkie. I needed to hear the full story." Twilight murmured liftin the sleeping Scootaloo.     "Who is this?" Pinkie asked crouching slightly. "She looks like she's had a rough day." Pinkie scratched her head.     "Twilight giggled ever so slightly kissing Pinkie's cheek. "This is Scootaloo. She lived on the street but. . . She deserves so much better." Twilight gave another soft sob.    "Mmkay. So she's with us now?" Pinkie asked. Her inability to comprehend serious situations other than her dying lover was quite funny and Twilight whispered:    "Where else would my child go?" Pinkie's face blanked out for a moment then her expression widened.    "You have a child?!" She asked freaking out.    "No silly. But Scootaloo has, overnight formed a very strong bond with me and I find that she should stay with us. And I think I could. . . Qualify slightly as a mother. Don't you?" Twilight teased trying to lead Pinkie her way.     "So. . . I'll be the father?" The excitement on her face was indescribable.     "For now, I don't think we should be parenting her. But soon. As she adaptates." Twilight smiled.     Pinkie smiled widely. It was happening! As long as the war could come to an end then everyone would be happy.
