Trapped
The Trap
Load Full Story"What a lovely day! I'm so happy you invited me out for a picnic Rarity." I smiled brightly at Rarity.
"Oh, it was no trouble at all, Fluttershy darling! I have been simply dying to get out of my boutique for once and spend time with you." She smiled right back at me.
Rarity had invited me for a picnic earlier in the week. I originally thought I couldn't go, but Rarity seemed so excited for it. I moved my schedule around to fit time for her. She was my best friend after all, and I was having an amazing time! It was so beautiful in the park. Such amazing flora and fauna, not to mention Rarity had remembered to pack all my favorite foods! It really was a great picnic. I was happy I decided to go! I almost missed this opportunity with her, how could I have missed this?
"Rarity, you're so sweet. You remembered I love daffodil salad and carrot cake?"
"Oh, but of course darling! How could I have forgotten? You are my best friend. I take pride in remembering what makes you happy!"
I blushed. Rarity was a great friend! I slowly ate my food as Rarity and I exchanged gossip and news about ponies and our lives. We swapped stories and laughed at jokes we had made. Almost three hours had passed when I remembered I had my animals back home to feed.
"Oh, Rarity I'm so so sorry. I have to go home, my animals must be so worried!" I got up and started picking up the picnic.
"Has it been three hours already? My my, time does fly fast with some good gossip with a good friend!" She giggled.
We picked up the blanket and packed the remainder of the food and silverware into the basket Rarity had brought. Just as we started to leave we heard a loud scream.
"H-HELP! PLEASE SOMEPONY HELP ME!"
Rarity and I jumped and ran toward the voice. It continued to yell.
"PLEASE! HELP!"
I was so scared! I couldn't believe my ears! I just knew I had to be brave, for this pony and for Rarity.
When we had reached the sound we found a unicorn stallion in a alleyway, seemingly unharmed. He looked at us and smiled. Rarity seemed to know what was going on, but I was clueless. Who was he? Why was he calling for help?
"Fluttershy, darling, run. Now." Rarity bolted toward the exit of the alleyway, I followed. I would have flown from sight, but I was too terrified to open my wings, and how could I abandon Rarity like that? We ran as fast as we could but it wasn't fast enough. He put up an invisible wall of magic to trap and was closing in. Rarity tried to disable it but she was not skilled enough in magic to rival him.
"Fluttershy, fly away! Get help!" Rarity cried to me, she was in tears! I opened my wings and took to the sky, just to have my wings bounded by a rope and chain. When I came back down Rarity's magic had been disabled and the unicorn had us trapped.
"Well, well, well. Look who's fallen for my little trap. Not just one beauty, but two! Must be my lucky day."
"Let us go you ruffian! I'll have you know I am personal friends with Princess Twilight and she-" Rarity was cut off.
"Princess Twilight? Pffft, what a laugh! You really think she can find me? Where we're going, nopony will ever dare to look for you two."
I cowered and began to cry in front of him. "Please!" I cried, "Please just let us go! We, we won't tell anypony, we promise! Just let us go!"
He laughed in my face. "Oh, you are just the cutest!"
"Don't you laugh at Fluttershy that way!" Rarity struck him on the jaw. He rubbed his chin and glared at her, smirking.
"So we got a feisty one do we? Let me see." He levitated a large metal chain and collar from his saddle bag and put them on me. I cried harder and pulled on it. "See here, unicorn. You misbehave, the pegasus pays for it. Everytime you disappoint me, I hurt her. Be it, whipping, tighter collar, isolation, you will be the cause of her pain."
Rarity cried along with me and nodded, staying silent and stroking my mane.
"Now stay still." He lit his horn and we were engulfed in light, as we were taken far away from our homes.
We were trapped.
