Worlds Collide: Subject A

A day later, Aaries was refreshed. He had discovered some sort of magazine lodged into his home's wall. Rather strange text, of course, accompanied by a rather strange picture. Strange metal objects in the air, with strange creatures inside them. One of them appeared to be on fire. Aaries left. He met Cloudburst at the same area as before, but they had decided to fly towards Ponyville and see if there were any objects there.

Rainbow Dash, self-proclaimed(with some help from the Young Flyers Competition) greatest flyer in Equestria, was flying along, at a high speed- almost 0.75 times the speed of sound. Suddenly, a large object appeared next to her. It had similar colors to Rainbow, and appeared to have a picture of her on it. It started speeding up, and Rainbow was racing it. Suddenly, its back section started flaming. It sped up quickly. Rainbow could barely keep up now, and it was getting faster, nearing the sound barrier. They both did a Sonic Rainboom at the same time, and Rainbow was knocked out of flight and consciousness. The last thing she saw before blacking out was the strange craft, going even faster.

"Warning: Ravenstar temperature critical," said the XR-2 "Rainbow Dash" Ravenstar's computer. "Mach 3," It called out. "KSC, this is XR2-032, we need help, Unidentified object off the starboard wing, it has fallen away," said Commander Drake Calhoun. Suddenly, the craft arrived back at KSC. Commander Drake promptly forgot about it, as the Ravenstar smashed into the ground at half mach as the speed somehow lowered, giving him minor injuries and slight amnesia.

Cloudburst had seen two Sonic Rainbooms in the same second. One was another strange object. The other was Rainbow Dash, the pony he now remembered as saving him yesterday. They both rushed towards her. She was alive, but unconscious. They got her to the Ponyville hospital quickly, which saved her life. They both told the nurse what they saw happening. Aaries and Cloudburst decided to head back, as saving a pony is a lot of work.

Rainbow Dash woke up, injured heavily in the left wing, and less heavily in the left forehoof. It had been days since her accident, 2 in fact. Twilight and Pinkie Pie had arrived since then, Twilight to give her the next 3 Daring Do books, Pinkie to give Rainbow a hug. Just for a hug. As soon as Pinkie gave her a hug, Rainbow felt better. Twilight and Pinkie promptly left.
