You wake up in a daze, lights dancing underneath your eyelids and a soft breeze blowing across your face. You open your eyes to the daylight, the bright sun shining directly above you, signifying the time of day. You blink a few times as your brain starts working its gears. The first thought that comes to you is “Noon already?” before your brain actually starts working and you come to the more sensible realization of “How the FUCK did I get outside?”. You shoot straight up, looking around you in confusion. You're in a large, empty field, with trees in three directions and what looks like a small town in the fourth. The air seems... different. Cleaner. The sun seems larger and brighter, and the breeze feels cool and calm. You definitely aren't on Earth.
A few seconds into your confusion, you hear a soft humming coming from behind you, followed by a gasp. You turn to see a mint-green unicorn staring at you, flowers levitating in the air beside to her above an open jar. You stare at each other for a few seconds, both of your mouths slightly ajar, thoughts and explanations flying through your heads at breakneck speeds. The pony is the first to recover, her mouth forming into a beaming grin as she gallops toward you, dropping the flowers and moving at full speed. Before you can even lift a hand, she's on you, pouncing like a cat onto your chest and pinning you on the ground. She's only about as tall as your waist, and even standing on her hind hooves, she couldn't make it past your shoulders. Nevertheless, in your dazed state, she easily overtakes you and inspects you from head to toe, like a scientist examines a specimen, poking at you with a hoof and looking closely at your facial features.
At this point, your brain finally decides it wants to work with you again. It's safe to say you are in no place other than Equestria, that much is obvious. How you got here doesn't currently matter. You lock eyes with the mare on your stomach, and your brain identifies her as none other than Lyra Heartstrings, the background pony unicorn. You blink a few times, unsure of what to do. Everything SEEMS real enough. The breeze, the grass, and definitely the pony. The pony is without a doubt as real as cartoon horses get. So, it wasn't a dream.
A few seconds pass as you return to reality, at which point Lyra has decided she's seen enough of you. She steps off of your chest, a soft clop resounding through the air as she drops onto the ground again. You open your mouth to say something, but before you even utter the first word, you feel overcome by an unfamiliar tingling sensation. You look down at your body, now glowing a mint-green color. You look back at Lyra, who's horn is showing a similar glow, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration and her tongue sticking out the side of her mouth. You start to notice she's getting closer. At least, that's what it seems like for a few seconds before you realize that she's just getting bigger. And not just her, either; the trees, the flowers, the grass; it all shoots up towards you. This is when you reach your third theory: she's not getting closer OR bigger; you're getting smaller.
The shrinking takes a few seconds before it is completed. When Lyra has finished her magic, you find yourself at about 5 centimeters tall. Lyra leans in close, her now enormous muzzle nearly bumping into your tiny form as her eyes study you closely. Seemingly satisfied, she smiles, picking you up with her magic and dropping you in her recently emptied flower jar. She places the jar in her saddlebag and trots back to Ponyville with a bounce in her step, humming excitedly to herself the whole way. You sit quietly, knowing that she probably couldn't hear you even if you did try to get her attention.
The trip back to Ponyville takes a few minutes, long enough for you to fully wake up and get your brain working. From within the bag and over the sounds of Lyra's humming, you can hear many other ponies going about their noon business. You figure you're in the center of town now as the noise picks up, but it's impossible to know for sure. You hear the sound of a door open, and then a second later, you hear it shut behind you, the clamor from the street instantly cut off. You hear nothing but the sound of Lyra's trotting again for a few seconds. Suddenly, your jar is surrounded by a familiar green glow as it rises out of her saddlebag and onto what appears to be a living room table. Lyra leans down to your level to admire you once more, checking to make sure you were alright. She smiles when she sees you're moving and healthy, clopping her hooves together excitedly. She leaves the room for a moment and comes back with a glass of water levitating next to her, sitting down on the couch across from you.
“I knew they were real. I knew it,” She says, taking a sip of water, never taking her eyes off of the jar.
“They all said humans weren't real. They would always say 'There are no such things as big hairless monkeys, Lyra!'”
The mare sat on the couch talking to herself in this fashion for quite some time, making faces and silly voices whenever mimicking someone who didn't believe her. After a few minutes, she leans forward with a grin and takes another look at you.
“But now I have PROOF!”
You take the opportunity to try and speak again, but this time, you're interrupted by the sound of the front door opening and closing once again. Following it comes another hum, this one slower and more thoughtful than Lyra's excited tunes. Lyra immediately perks her ears, getting off of the couch and trotting over to the entrance of the home.
“Bonbon! You have to see this!” Lyra's voice.
“Oh, Lyra! I didn't expect you home so soon. How was the flower picking?” Said the other, softer voice, presumably Bonbon's.
“What? Oh, yeah, that was fine. But come in here, I have something to show you!”
“Can it wait? I have some groceries to sort. Also, I hope you like apples, some filly on the street just-”
“Bonbon, this is important, come on!”
You can hear one set of hooves trotting back into the living room, followed by an exasperated sigh, the sound of shopping bags hitting the floor, and yet another set of hooves.
Lyra is the first to enter your vision, promptly flopping onto the couch in true Lyra style, legs draped over the side and back against the rest, much like a human. She points at the jar with a hoof as Bonbon enters the room, looking quite annoyed, but not confused or surprised in the slightest. Now that you think about it, Bon Bon probably goes through a lot of this on a daily basis. Regardless of her current mood, she complies, leaning forward to peek into the jar. She looks around for a few seconds before her eyes settle on you. She stares for a few seconds, eyes widened is disbelief. She turns to Lyra.
“Is... is this...?”
“Yep.”
“This is a HUMAN? An actual, living, healthy HUMAN?”
“Yyyyyep!”
“Are they normally this small? I thought you said they were bigger than monkeys.”
“Oh, they are. I had to shrink this little guy down to bring him with me.” Says Lyra, waving a dismissive hoof. Bonbon scrunches up her face, crossing her hooves.
“Where did you even learn how to do that?”
“Twilight. You're the one who talked me into advanced magic lessons with her, remember?”
“But you do know how to change him back, right?”
Lyra blinks. “Uh, actually, no, I didn't think about that. Twilight never finished that lesson,” Lyra says, waving another dismissive hoof, “Don't worry yourself. It'll be fine.”
Bonbon huffs and turns back to you, looking you over and absorbing every detail, her stern expression replaced by one of curiosity. “Didn't you say these things could talk, Lyra?”
Seeing your first opportunity, you speak up.
“Actually, yes, I can.”
Bonbon smiles and leans closer, while Lyra spits out her water in surprise. She starts wiping herself off, muttering something about “forgetting to actually TALK to the human”.
Bonbon giggles slightly and looks right at you with her enormous eyes. She taps on the glass a few times to get your attention and starts speaking.
“Do you have a name, little guy?”
You think for a moment. “Anon will do just fine, thank you.”
Bonbon nods politely. “Anon. Alright. Is there anything you'd like, Anon? Can we make you comfortable? You are our guest, after all.”
“Well, it'd be nice to get out of this jar.”
Bonbon nods again, reaching a hoof into the jar and pulling you out by your shirt (You don't question how they do it on the show, and you certainly aren't going to question it now). She gently places you down on the table, and the now-dry Lyra joins her at the table's edge. Bon Bon is the first to speak.
“I suppose you'd like to return to normal size?”
“That would be optimal, yes.”
As stressful as the situation is, you can't help but feel strangely tranquil around the two mares.
“Well. I guess we'll have to go take him to Twilight then.”
Lyra immediately shoots up, her opposition to the idea evident.
“We can't do that, Bonbon! If Twilight gets her hooves on him she'll never let go! A-and she'll run all kinds of tests on him and poke him with little needles a-a-a-and she won't ever let me play with him! I-I mean, she... won't let me ask him serious questions about daily human life. And other important stuff.”
Bonbon rolls her eyes and puts a hoof on Lyra's shoulder.
“Listen, sweetie, I know you're excited that you found a human, and I'm happy for you. But he needs to be put back to normal.”
“No he doesn't! He-he can live with us!”
“You mean like a pet? He's not a dog, Lyra.”
“He would be the coolest pet EVER. How many ponies do you know that have a tiny human for a pet? And besides, he TALKS! IT'S LIKE A PARROT BUT SO MUCH COOLER!”
Bonbon sighs and places a hoof on her forehead. Lyra turns to you expectantly.
“Come on, lil' guy! You wouldn't mind hanging with us, right?” She stares at you with pleading eyes.
Oh god not the eyes.
“I... I suppose living with you two could be alright, for the time being.”
Lyra beams.
“See, Bonbon? He likes it here! Can we keep him? Please!”
“Yes, yes, fine, if he's alright with it I suppose he can stay here. Guess that means I have to go shopping again for some more things. Make him comfortable while I get more groceries, will you, Lyra?”
Lyra nods enthusiastically as Bonbon goes back out the front door. She turns to you with that big goofy grin of hers.
“Well. Now I finally have a chance to get a real good look at you!”
You feel that now-familiar warmth of magic as Lyra lifts you, bringing you up to her eye level. She twists and turns and flips you around rather roughly, looking at you from all angles. Lyra puts you down on her stomach, satisfied with the examination. She sighs a happy sigh.
“I always wanted a human all for myself. And now I have one!”
It's obvious to you she thinks of you more as a pet than a guest. You still aren't quite sure whether that qualifies as a good thing or a bad thing at this strange juncture in your life. You scratch behind your head, awkwardly trying to start conversation.
“So, when are we planning on returning me to normal size?”
Lyra blinks and stares blankly at you. After a few seconds, she sighs and looks off to the side.
“You really do want to get big again, don't you?”
“Is there something wrong, Lyra?”
“It's just... well, you're going to get big, and then you'll just run away from me and I'll never see another human again. And I'll never get to play with you or anything.” You can hear her choking up.
You have to admit to yourself that if you were bigger, you probably would want to distance yourself from Lyra quite a bit. She was a little... odd. Bordering insane. Nevertheless, you feel somewhat sympathetic toward her.
“Well, I'm still small right now. What kind of games did you want to play?”
She turns back to you and sniffles a little, wiping her face dry with a hoof. She stares at you with those huge, hopeful eyes again.
Oh god not the eyes.
“Um, well, I-I always wanted a human to scratch me behind my ears...”
She stares into your- no, her eyes DESTROY your soul.
“I... suppose I could do that.”
Lyra perks up slightly, levitating you onto her head, just behind her horn. Her mane is thick but ridiculously soft and, either by coincidence or choice, smells vaguely of mint. You wade your way through it towards her left ear, which is surprisingly difficult to find. You reach down and scratch at the base of her ear, using both hands to help compensate for your size. Lyra exhales a deep breath, her ears twitching happily and her head drooping towards the ground, eyelids falling in suit. This goes on for a few seconds before you feel her shudder beneath you, snapping out of it. The familiar warm glow surrounds you as she picks you up with her magic again, bringing you eye to eye with her.
“Thank you, little guy. That felt way better than I ever imagined it would.”
You begin to say something, but you're cut off as she leans in for a quick kiss, one that, due to your size difference, almost covers your upper body. You aren't sure how to respond to it, so you float there in a shared awkward silence as Lyra looks off to the side, blushing. She's the first to speak up after a few seconds.
“Sorry, Anon, that was out of line. I'll just... let's play some board games or something.”
Bonbon returns from the market an hour later, but neither you nor Lyra notice in the middle of a heated game of Manenopoly in which Lyra pretty much won right off the bat, subsequent to the purchase of Boardtrot.
“Hah! That'll be another 2,000 bits, Anon.”
“I don't have that much and you know it, miss Heartstrings.”
“Does that mean you finally quit?”
“Oh, you wish. Tell you what, I'll give you Baltimare and we'll call it a deal.”
“Lil' guy, don't you pretend like Baltimare's worth anything. Either you give me something worth 2,000 bits or you're out of the game.”
“Well, I don't have anything. I'm broke.”
“Well, I guess you lose then.”
“Hold on a minute, let me think.”
“Anon, ya lost. Give it up.”
“There's got to be SOME way I can pay you.”
“Oh, well... maybe there is ooooone way...”
Lyra leans close and looks dead at you with half lidded eyes.
You're about to reply with something your brain assures you is flirtatious when Bonbon gives a slight cough from the doorway, a smirk spread across her face.
“Hey there, lovebirds, I'm back from the shop. Who's ready for dinner?”
Lyra sits up abruptly, turning to face Bonbon with a death glare.
“We aren- I wasn- it was ju- RIGHT! DINNER! LET'S EAT!”
Lyra picks you up and places you on her back as she trots to the dinner table, leaving the board game behind. Meanwhile, after having time to think about what you were about to say, you question your brain's judgment in matters regarding flirting when it was clearly assuring you that “Do you want to have the sex” is an acceptable statement at any time ever.
Dinner passes by with idle conversation. You and Lyra are on one side of the table, sharing a salad, with Bonbon on the other side with her own salad. You sit there, swapping stories about your respective worlds, comparing and contrasting Earth and Equestria. You decide, for the interests of keeping things simple, to not bring up the TV show. When dinner is finished, Bonbon leaves the room without a word, returning with a cake that she places in the center of the table.
“Double chocolate fudge with vanilla swirl, fresh baked from Sugar Cube Corner!”
Lyra grins wide and cuts a slice almost immediately, flopping it down on her plate with full force. So hard, in fact, that a chunk of it flies off and lands on top of you, covering you in frosting. Lyra puts her fork down and giggles.
“Anon... y-you got a little something. Right there, on your cheek. And everywhere else.”
You glare at her as you take off your shirt and pants, both completely covered in frosting.
“Only teasing, Anon. Come here, let me clean you up. “
Without warning, Lyra picks you up and brings you up to her mouth, covering you with her tongue in one big lick from head to toe. Then she does it again, and again, each one lasting longer than the one before. It doesn't take long before she's placed you in her mouth completely, gently pushing you around her mouth with her tongue, wrapping around you playfully every now and again. After a few seconds more of sucking on you, she pulls you back out slowly, dragging you across her tongue one last time on your way out. She puts you down on the table with a grin and a giggle, Bonbon staring at the scene with one eyebrow raised towards the sky in confusion. You lay there for a few seconds, staring up at the ceiling, blinking at the sudden bright lights and recovering from the shock of what just happened. You're glad that at least your underwear is still present, else the present company knows exactly how much you enjoyed that. The look on Lyra's face tells you that she did without a doubt.
“... alrighty then,” Bonbon says, clearing the dishes off the table. Lyra giggles again in response.
A few hours pass, spent on board games, talking and television (“Hey Anon, check out this show! It's called “My Little Human”. Is it similar to the Earth you come from?” “Lyra, not this again.” “Quiet, Bonbon, it's not just a show for little boys.”). The three of you are quite tired, and unanimously decide that it's time for bed. Bonbon shows you to your room, Lyra's room. She puts you down on a small cushion on Lyra's dressing table, waving goodnight as she leaves the room. Lyra walks in immediately after her. She kisses you again and curls up on her own bed, yawning.
“Night, Anon. Sweet dreams.”
“Goodnight, Lyra.”
A few seconds go by without a sound.
“Hey, Anon?”
“Yes, Lyra?”
“You don't taste half bad.~”
You can almost hear Lyra's grin as you lay in silence.
What have you gotten yourself into, Anon?
You wake up on Lyra's dressing table, same as you have every morning for the last 5 weeks you've been in Equestria. You yawn and stretch your arms to the sky, watching the beams of early morning light stream in through the window. After seeing a sunset orchestrated by Celestia, you're pretty sure the deity controlling the sun back home is slacking off. You peek over the side of the table, looking across the room at Lyra's bed. Empty and unmade, as is the usual. Lyra was always up earlier than you were. You lay still for a few minutes, enjoying the quiet early-morning peace while it still lasts. It doesn't take long before it's interrupted by Lyra, trotting into the room with her usual hyperactive demeanor, already perfectly ready for the day's events with a smile stretched across her face. She notices you sitting up in your bed and beams wider.
“Gooooooood morning Anon! Have a nice sleep?”
“It was fantastic, thanks for asking. What's for breakfast?”
“I dunno, but whatever Bonbon's cooking smells real good.”
“Shall we go eat?”
“I think we shall!”
Lyra picks you up and places you on her head, humming as she trots off toward the mouth watering smells wafting in from the kitchen.
As you enter the kitchen, Bonbon is setting the table, the pan on the stove behind her sizzlingg with the scent of pancakes. Although hesitant to take you in at first, Bonbon seems to have warmed up to you as the newest member of the household, often treating you as a fellow house mate where Lyra would treat you as a pet.
“Good morning Lyra, Anon. Help yourself to some pancakes.”
“Don't mind if we do!” Lyra chirps, taking a seat at the table and slapping some pancakes on her plate. You share Lyra's food, like usual. After a few minutes, Lyra speaks up.
“I've got plans for today! I'll be back in a few minutes, you two stay here and chill for a bit.”
You wave to Lyra as she walks out the door, wondering what her plans could possibly entail.
You spend the rest of the day with Bonbon. You hang out, doing the usual daytime activities. Hours pass, and Lyra is still gone. The sun starts to set, and you're both worried. Bonbon paces back and forth, muttering worriedly under her breath.
“She said a few minutes, not the whole day.”
“Bonbon, relax. I'm sure she just got a little derailed on her way back or something. It happens to all of us. See, this is why you guys need cell phones.”
You stick around quietly for another half hour before Bonbon throws her hooves in the air and steps out.
“I'm going to go look for her. You'll be alright here by yourself, won't you?”
“Yes, yes, I'll be fine. Go find her.”
Bonbon leaves with a short nod.
Another 5 minutes pass as you sit around and wait. The five slow weeks you've spent in Equestria have already helped you with your patience. You lay on your back on the living room table, watching the beams of moonlight trickle in through the windows. Now that you think about it, Luna does a great job at coordinating the moon as well. You snap upright at the sudden sound of the door slamming open, followed by the dark silhouette of Lyra walking into the room.
“Sorry, guys, I just wanted to go down to Sugar Cube Corner for some cupcakes but Pinkie, and you know how Pinkie is, she wouldn't let me go until I said the alphabet backwards and before I could fi- you know, this is a story for another time. Sorry I'm late, is what I meant to say.”
You wait for Lyra to finish before smiling and waving to her from your spot on the table.
“Welcome back, Lyra. Bonbon was worried, she stepped out a little while ago to look for you.”
Lyra smiles and starts trotting over to you, but freezes mid-stride and raises an eyebrow as you finish your sentence.
“So, Bonbon isn't here?”
“Nope.”
“Just us?”
“Yep.”
“Aloooone?”
“Would seem that way.”
Lyra grins again, her eyes half lidded. She takes a few more steps toward you; slow, deliberate steps. “Well in thaaaaat case... I have a game I'd like to play, if you want?”
Now it's your turn to raise an eyebrow. “It depends. What game is it?”
Lyra grins wider. “Oh, it's a surprise. I can't say unless you agree to play. And you have to follow the rules, no matter what they are!”
You know for a fact something fishy is going on. You're not sure if you like fish or not. But you figure you'll add on to the fish jokes and bite the hook this once. Besides, you trust Lyra not to do anything too drastic.
“Alright, fine, I'll play. What's the game?”
Lyra's grin somehow gets even wider and she closes the distance between you with a few short strides.
“Oh, I just want to play hide and seek!”
You blink. “That's it?”
“Mhm! Just hide n' seek. But we'll have to use special rules, because you're so small.”
The stench of fish is getting stronger. “Alright, what are the rules?”
“First off, we can only play here in the living room.”
“Alright, that's fair.”
“Second, I'll be it. There's not a whole lot of places where I can hide from you at this size anyways.”
“Right, and there's plenty of places for me.”
“Third, home base is the table. If you get back here before I tag you, you win!”
“Ok.”
Lyra leans in closer. “Are you ready for the last rule, Anon? Remember, you have to follow the rules.”
“Lay it on me.”
Lyra giggles. “Alrighty. Final rule. If I catch you, I get to swallow you whole and you have to spend the entire day in my belly. Don't worry, you won't get hurt.”
You pause and stare at Lyra for a little bit. She stares back at you, a hint of amusement sparking behind her eyes. She rips you bare of any clothing with her magic, leaving you completely naked as she drags her tongue across you for a full-body lick.
She steps back and faces a corner, starting to count as you begin to recover.
The game of cat and mouse had begun.
You shimmy down the leg of the table, landing softly on the carpeted floor as you look around for a hiding spot. You dive under the closest one you can find, hiding underneath the painfully obvious couch. You decide to lay there for a moment, going over your options in your head. Your brain is telling you that getting eaten is bad. Very bad. Lyra did say you wouldn't get hurt, but for some reason you just can't let that comment go by without a fact check. Yes, fact check claims digestive fluids are a bad thing. You decide to stop listening to your brain for a little bit to see how the rest of your body is doing. Your heart beat is skyrocketed past the point of normality. Just imagining being back inside Lyra's mouth is exhilarating. Even if your brain is screaming no, your groin is screaming otherwise. Right, back to the brain. Brain brings your attention to the fact that even without the stomach acids, you're going to be in there all day, and that probably won't be all that comfortable. Brain also reminds you that you'll be needing a way back out once the day is over, and the only two options that come to mind are hardly appealing. Your thoughts are cut off as you come to the realization of an eerie silence. It takes you a few seconds before you realize that Lyra has stopped counting. You look around from underneath the couch, searching the room for any signs of her presence. You see and hear nothing. Cautiously, you peek out from under the couch, tiptoeing towards the table in the center of the room, hoping to reach it before Lyra sees you. You're about halfway across the floor when you start to hear a whisper.
“Ready or not... here... I... COME!”
You spin around to see Lyra on top of the couch you were just hiding under, her hind legs pushing off as she leaps on top of you. She pins you underneath one of her hooves, a wild grin on her face.
“Gotcha!”
She squints and sticks her tongue out to the side, making that silly face she does whenever she concentrates on complicated magic. You feel her familiar glow wash over you, leaving a slight mint-colored sheen covering the outside of your body. Satisfied, she lifts you up and places you on her tongue, closing her mouth at the end of one swift movement. She sucks and plays with you on her tongue for a little while, enjoying her treat for a few seconds before she has to finish it off. You can feel her as she tilts her head back, tongue slowly pushing you back towards the back of her mouth, sliding you down into her throat. Your saliva covered body slides down easily, the muscles in her esophagus squeezing and loosening as they carry you down towards the stomach. The narrow passage opens up into a somewhat wider chamber. You wince in anticipation as you descend into the stomach, but are pleasantly surprised when you discover the acids do not sting. That must be what the small layer of magic surrounding you was for. You sigh and lie down, finding the warmth of the walls and the steady heartbeat to be somewhat comforting. Might as well get comfy, you're going to be in there for 24 hours.
Lyra licks her lips as she feels you going down her throat. Once she feels you settle down in her stomach, she yawns, hooves stretched out towards the sky. She trots off to her bedroom, curling up in her bed and humming soothing tunes to herself. She giggles as she feels you shift your position, and pats her stomach in response. She would tell Bonbon later, and get yelled at then. But for now, it was time to rest.
You lean against one of Lyra's back hooves as she lies sprawled out on the couch, the TV blaring mindless ads during the commercial break. It's been another 5 weeks since the little game of “tag” you had played with Lyra. Bonbon nearly blew every blood vessel in her body when she came home to find out that Lyra had eaten the house guest. She calmed down significantly after the day had passed and, honoring her agreement, Lyra teleported you out of her stomach, completely unharmed. Even with constant assurance that you were fine with what happened, Bonbon kept a close eye on you two the following two weeks. That was the truth, though. You were absolutely fine with what happened. You liked Lyra, sometimes you thought maybe you liked her too much, and it wasn't like her stomach wasn't comfortable. Your thoughts drift back to Lyra's tongue, as they often do. Thoughts of her tongue wrapping around you and coating you in warm saliva, slowly pushing you down towards the back of her throa-
Your imaginings are interrupted as you hear a soft sound emanate from your right. You peak around Lyra's hoof to see what she's doing. She's resting, with one hoof propping her head up as she stares blankly at the TV, other hoof resting in between her legs. You do a double take and notice that the hoof between her legs isn't resting at all, but absent mindedly moving up and down. Another long, soft moan coming from Lyra confirms what she's doing with that hoof. You watch with more interest than you're willing to admit. She's obviously forgotten you were sitting next to her in the long silence, paying no heed to you as she shifts her weight slightly, no longer paying attention to the television as she rolls off of her side and onto her back. Her hoof moves more passionately, with more purpose, as her small squeaks and moans escalate. You watch on with your mouth slightly agape, not quite sure what to do. This problem is quickly resolved as Lyra kicks her hind hoof involuntarily, hitting you square in the everything and knocking the breath out of you, sending you tumbling across the couch with an exhale of breath. Lyra immediately stops and sits up, instantly reaching a hoof out to help you stand back up. Racked in pain, you gladly take the assistance, using her hoof as a brace as you push yourself up.
