Six ponies chosen by the council will hold a great power with no purpose. Six ponies will be the ones to save Equestria when great evils arise, at least that's what the description entails. It's been several millennia. In this modern age there are no princesses, bare minimum magic, and plenty of technology. In this age Rainbow Power is no more then a ceremony and a title, but when an enemy arises no one can subdue the only answer is them. If only the populace would acknowledge they had any power at all.
