Searching for a Reason

Its the brink of morning, Luna has just started to lower the moon and Celestia is raising the sun. The bright orange sky of dawn grows larger, brightening up the grasslands. Righteous Justice, a blue, black maned colt, still walks the dirt road. He carries nothing but a small bag and his scarf wrapped around his neck. With his tired eyes for he has walked and only walked for many sleepless days looking for his next stop. Along the road, he spots a few trees in the distance, most likely apple trees he thinks to himself. Justice trots a bit faster, his hunger taking control. The red apples glisten upon the trees as the sun glistens on the red skin. Justice has his mouth practically watering at the sight. His hoofs ready, he kicks the tree with as much strength he has left, hoping for his breakfast meal. The tree rattles and shakes with its leaves dancing with it, unfortunetly for him, Justice's strength wasn't enough, only an apple fell as the others stayed upon the tree. With a tired sigh, he sits down by the tree, enjoying his only thing to eat at the moment. He goes into his bag, bringing out nothing but his journal and a pen, the only things he has in there. He sets his journal down on the grass and begins to write.

Its been about 5 days since I left from Manehatten, sure was a long trip without taking the train. The bits i spent were worth it though, I did get a decent meal in the city before I left but it was the last of my bits so I'm now broke. I haven't had much sleep lately either, without much food I don't have much strength left in me. I can barely even buck a tree as hard as I can anymore. My next stop is in Ponyville, a small town i have not been yet surprisingly. I have about 2 more miles until I get there. Hopefully when i get there i can  relax a bit, earn some bits. I'm not expecting much for what i really need. Anyway, today seems like its gonna be a good day, not sure about weather though, I don't get much news from the weather ponies or pegasi. I better get back to my path, don't want to stay here all day now do I? Until next time. -Justice"

Justice closes hes journal and puts it back in his bag, along with with his pen. "Well, that'll do," said Justice as he gets up from spot, "Back to the road i guess....Ponyville huh?" Justice trots back to the dirt road, the sun is finally high in the sky, the sky no longer the vivid red orange but now a clear light blue. He smiles to the sight, enjoying the brand new day. Yeah....today is gonna be a great day isn't it?" And off he goes, to the town Ponyville
