Thought Fire and Flames

Flames was a white Pegasus with a vibrant red mane. She was born in a hospital in Canterlot where she lived with her family. Her parents worked at a fancy restaurant called "Promontoire" or Point for the common ponies who aren't fancy. Flames didn't have her cutie mark yet and she didn't know how to fly either. Her parents were both different species, her mom was a Pegasus just like her and her father was a unicorn like her older brother Blaze.

He was about five years older than her and he was very talented for his age. One day during the nighttime Flames had a bad dream. She went into her parents room because she was scared and needed comfort to calm her down. But when she got into their room they were fast asleep. It was a big day earlier so she wasn't surprised that they were sleeping.

Flames lit a candle and placed it on their drawer so when they woke up they could see where they were going. Flames looked at the candle with the small fire which seemed to illuminate the whole room and thought to herself about the story her mother had told her about their heritage. Her mother said that on her side of the family they all had special abilities with the elements but she didn't go into detail much cause it was way too complicated for a young filly to understand. Flames had no idea what happened next because a flash altered her sight for a few seconds.

When she opened her eyes all she could see was a very dark crimson color which impaired her vision slightly. Starting to panic Flames held out her hoof in front of her face. Fire.... She looked down at her body and it was surrounded by fire. Dumbfounded and not remembering her mother's history lesson she started to scream and panic because she didn't understand what was happening. Flames screams of terror had alarmed and awoken her slumbering family. She ran out of her parents room still terrified and screaming and running around the house spreading the fire around quickly
