Chapters The Beginning of the End...
I'm going to miss you all...
Those words run through my mind as I lay there in my hospital bed, dying. my closest (and only) friend is there, watching me like a guardian angel. He's protecting me...I'll miss him most. My mother, Chrysalis is crying, her tears soaking the floor. Chocolate Cone (my friend) is holding my hoof and he tries to keep a smile despite my appearance, strapped to this bed with tubes up my snout and needles in my forelegs. His eyes are puffy and red.
It's funny, my mom always said when ponies die, they always think about their own experiences.
I never thought once about my own experiences, but the experiences of others.
"C-cone..."
The first word I spoke since we got to the hospital. My voice is cracked and dry. I sounded like someone was hacking away at my voice muscles. He immediately jolted up and leaned in close. "Y-yeah?" He asked in his sweet and considerate voice. I smiled. I then asked, "Please...take...good care of my mom...and brothers?"
"Like they were my own family..." he replied, tears starting to form again as he smiled weakly.
I smiled. "Th...thank you..." I then faced my head to the ceiling again, and the room started growing brighter. "S-so...this is it...my journey with...with everypony...ends..."
I smiled and looked to Cone. "Y-you better visit my grave everyday and tell me the news, you dork..."
He laughed lightheartedly and nodded. "I will."
And so, the Changeling filly once named Liana slipped into her coma, which soon became the cold embrace of death. As her eyes rolled into her head, her face had a smile, which still lit up the room despite her now limp and unmoving body. Cone cried deeply and hard and he leaned in. He knew she wasn't fullydead, so he wanted her to remember him with a kiss. So he mashed her lips into his and kissed her.
Ah, but this isn't the beginning...only the beginning...of the end...

10 years later...
I'm trotting with my Mother, Chrysalis, as she takes me to my babysitter, Music within us. He is actually a DJ with a music related Cutie mark, but he loves children. He agreed without hesitation to babysit me (even thought I'm 10, my mom is always busy. I can't stay home, I'm too young). Plus his marefriend, Fleur, is a very nice lady. She always played dress up with me using clothes she got from the fashion industry she worked with. She even did my make up and took pictures of me prancing around in the cute filly clothing. Music simply applauded me and played music.
Eventually, my Mom stopped, me bumping into her hindleg. She knocked three times, and Music opened the door, this amazing sound filling the air. I couldn't help but dance a little. Music and Mom just smiled, chuckling, as they watched my little spectacle. Eventually, the music stopped, and I looked up at them, wondering why they were laughing.
"Come on inside, Liana," Music said. He then smiled. "Fleur is here, and she has some new cute clothes for you." I grinned at that and trotted inside.
Ah, here we are! Much better. It's been three years since a peace treaty between the Changeling Kingdom and Equestria was signed, bringing about peace to their two now united kingdoms. Chrysalis is in the hopsital, her Royal Advisor getting the life squeezed out of his hoof. Her two older sons, Staghorn and Red Chaos, sat in their seats outside the room the birth was taking place. It was the Ponyville Hospital and Nurse Redheart was holding out her hooves to get the baby out. Chrysalis cried out in pain as she pushed. Soon, crying was heard. Chrysalis' ears perked up and twitched slightly as she heard the sound and her eyes welled up in tears of joy.
"It's a girl!" The nurse happily announced. She trotted over to my bedside and gave me the baby with the loving care of a mother. I accepted the foal into my warm embrace and looked at her. I was, however, surprised at the color. She wasn't black like most Changelings, but instead a golden orange. Her horn had a small crack in the tip. I was sad, because this meant her ability to shapeshift would be affected greatly. But, the fact that she had fur and not an exoskeleton like most Changelings was what surprised me most. I looked to the nurse, who immediately saw the concern in my deep turquoise eyes. She nodded and went to the Doctor behind the glass window. They sytarted to talk for some time, followed by the nurse crying into her hooves. The doctor patted her back gently and waved his hoof in the air as if saying more. The nurse nodded and came inside.
"She has a vitamin deficiency."
I looked to the nurse in disbelief. I then looked down to the foal who now slept in my forelegs. I started to cry. I then wiped the tears away and put on a look of courage. "This foal will not die...not as long as I'm the mother."
The nurse smiled against the tears that wet her face and she nodded in content. "She will be lucky to have you...what will you name her?"
I looked at the foal with a warm smile. "I will name her Liana. She is my brave little filly."
My two sons galloped to my bedside and looked at the filly. "Is that what we looked like as newborns?"
I shook my head and giggled. "No, but she's...unique."
They sighed and said, "Lucky." They then laughed at the fact they had said it in unison and they reached out a hoof. The little foal grabbed Red's and suckled on the tip of the hoof. Red stuck his tongue out at Staghorn and smiled. "I see we already know who's the favored brother here." Staghorn only rolled his eyes and shook his head laughing. "Dude, who honestly cares? I'm still her brother, too."
I laughed at the two boys bickering and held the foal close as I soon fell asleep.
