Like history? I certainly hope so, because this is a big one.
Beginning some thirty years after the events of the television show, and spanning a time period of almost two decades (and beyond), the Sundering of Equestria is a history of things yet to come for Equestria. Penned by the verbose (and somewhat big-headed) Saddle Arabian historian, Al-Manākh, from his perspective some two centuries in the future, the Sundering of Equestria details the great and terrible war between six different factions over the land you know so well; how the conflict began, how it progressed and, ultimately, how it ended (or may have ended…). Of course, being so far ahead in time, Al-Manākh doesn’t fully know or understand everything that occurred, and much of what he does know is open to interpretation - perhaps you think you know enough to fill in the blanks?
Some of the warring factions you may recognise. The New Lunar Republic, for instance. Old Equestria, led by a tyrannical Princess Celestia, may seem oddly familiar too. You may have read of variations of the Changeling Swarm and the Griffon Kingdoms in other places. However, all of these fan-created factions have been reinvented in new and often surprising ways, and you may not even recognise the Discordians - and certainly not the industrial powerhouse that is the World Empire.
