Timidwings took a moment to gather himself before continuing to Ponyville. He knew he held a crush on the mare named "Fluttershy" but did not know how to show his feelings for her in a way that would overcome her shy nature and have her see the value in him. He decided to get settled in a home in Ponyville and report to the cloud factory before persuing any love interests.

He walked to the town and looked around cautiously. So far he had not gathered any unwanted attention. He pulled a scroll out of his saddlebag and layed it on the floor to read. He was going to be staying in a property near the woods.

He made his way to the property only to see Fluttershy moving in the same direction. He made it to his home and noticed that Fluttershy lived in the house not too far away. Maybe the realtionship he dreamed of could work.

He dropped his saddlebag near the bedroom door and exited the house.

Looking up, he saw Cloudsdale. Timidwings reared back and pushed off the ground. He flew towards the puffy white city of pegasi.

The wind slipped through his feathers quickly and smoothly. He glided through the skies with ease. Then a flash off color sent him reeling backwards. A cyan pony flew through the air leaving a line of rainbow behind her. As she broke the sound barrier, color burst in all directions. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, apart from Fluttershy.

He continued towards the Cloudsdale cloud factory. Upon landing a pegasi with white hair and a cutie mark of a leaf blowing in the wind stepped forward.

"I am Windfur, your overseer, and I am here to teach you the ropes."

Timidwings did everything commanded of him, but had a distant look in his eyes. He was thinking about Fluttershy, and how he could convince her he was worth loving. He didn't stop thinking about her even when he created his first cloud.

He promised himself he would visit Fluttershy after work.

An hour later, the bell rung at the factory, and it was time to leave. Timidwings took flight, and enjoyed the setting sun. He was watching it set, and then he flew into a gray cloud.

The electricity coursed through his body as he twitched out. He plummeted through the sky in the light of the moon, and slammed into the surface of a lake.

The impact of the water stunned him. He could barely move, and sank to the bottom of the lake. The last thing he saw was pale yellow, and though to himself: 'at least I get to see her one more time.'

Then jaws clenched on his scruff, and he was violently pulled from the water.
