A Different Game
Sweetie Belle trotted happily down the dirt road to Carousel Boutique. When she arrived she walk through the door into the main room. She put her saddlebag down on the floor, where Rarity was working on another dress for a client in Dodge Junction. ‘’Hey Rarity, I’m home!’’
Rarity turned away from the dress to Sweetie Belle and said, ‘’You’re home from school already? I thought they would keep you a little while longer.’’
“You know how teachers want to get rid of us! Just like we want to get out of school.”

“Now that you mention, I’m thinking of bringing Scootaloo and Apple Bloom for a sleepover.” Sweetie Belle went to her sister and gave the best ‘cute face’ she could. “Can we?”
“Well darling, I’m very busy and…” the older one looked to her sister again, “Fine, fine. But without yelling!”

“'Miss', please; not 'ma’am', I'm still young,” Rarity said, Sweetie rolling her green eyes. ‘’Don’t worry, Sweetie. You’ll see your friends tonight, unless something comes up. You should tell your friends about the sleepover.’’ Rarity continued to work on the dress as Sweetie walked out the door.
She first went over to the clubhouse.
On her way there, Scootaloo rushed up to Sweetie and tackled her to the ground. ‘’Sweetie! Sorry about that but Apple Bloom is sick!’’ Scootaloo explained to her, as they trotted over towards Sweet Apple Acres.
Without wasting a moment, they trotted past the expansive apple orchard to the front door of the farmhouse.
They knocked on the door, Applejack opening the it and letting them in the farmhouse. She told them, ‘’Glad that ya guys could come, Apple Bloom's sick.’’
"I told Sweetie Belle that she was, but can you tell us the disease she has?’’ Scootaloo asked worriedly.
“Er, she…” Applejack stared at the ceiling. “She's sick with hay fever.”
The two youngest ponies knew she was lying; they could see in her eyes.
“Applejack, why are you lying?” Sweetie asked.
“Okay, okay, I'll tell the truth. But don’t tell her, I lied to her too, and she believed me.” Applejack came closer of the young ponies. “She's feverish because of her first heat.”
Both Sweetie and Scootaloo blushed; they had never been in heat. Applejack laughed at their reaction.
“Are you serious?” Scootaloo was no longer blushing, she was flying above Sweetie Belle with her hooves crossed.
“Of course she’s serious!” exclaimed Sweetie, “But when… will this will be over?”
“In a week. Sorry girls.” Applejack took her hat and fanned herself, “If ya had plans they'll have to wait 'til next week.”
Both let out a soft sigh. “Oh…”
Sweetie raised her head with no more sadness in her tone. “Okay Applejack, just tell her that… we expect to see her better… I think?” She gave a shy smile, thinking about her friend's ‘disease’. “Anyways, bye Applejack! Don’t forget to tell her!” Both ponies went to the front door and left the farmhouse.
“Don’t ya worry sugarcubes! Bye!” Applejack called.
Scootaloo and Sweetie lowered their heads when they arrived at the clubhouse. ‘’I hope Apple Bloom gets better soon. I was really looking forward to having a sleepover tonight.’’
Scootaloo’s eyes widened with excitement. ‘’If you don’t mind, we could have a sleepover together tonight at Carousel Boutique. It’s not like we’re leaving her out. Besides it sounds like fun.’’
Sweetie Belle considered the offer. ‘’Sure! Show up at eight tonight. You and I can rekindle some old memories. See you then.’’
Scootaloo just smiled, watching as Sweetie left the clubhouse.
“Sweetie Belle, darling, Scootaloo's here!” Rarity's elegant voice reached Sweetie, who was in her room. She smiled when she heard that, and ran down the stairs to meet with Scootaloo. Rarity shook her head at how her sister was behaving; nothing at all like a lady.
“Scoots!”
“Hey Sweetie, are you ready to have fun?” Scootaloo asked.
“C’mon! Let’s go to my room!”
The two young mares ran up, one flying and other trotting, but both with great smiles on their faces. Rarity put on a happy face; it was good to see her sister having fun, just like the old times.
In the room…
The two mares hit each other with fluffy, white pillows, feathers scattering across the room. They laid down on Sweetie’s bed and looked up at the ceiling. ‘’Hey Sweetie?’’
Sweetie turned her head to Scootaloo. ‘’Yeah?’’

Sweetie’s chest rose and fell, breathless. “Ok, I give up. But please don’t eat my brain! You evil zombie pony!” She joked again.

Sparks formed around Sweetie’s horn, she closed her eyes and concentrated to find the center of her magic, to activate it. The sparks transcended into a magical green aura flowing around her horn as a collection of multiple colors swirled around her eyes, which looked deep into Scootaloo’s eyes. A similar color pattern appeared in Scootaloo’s eyes as her mouth hung wide open. She heard only the sound of Sweetie’s voice.
‘’Looks like it worked.’’ Sweetie snapped back into reality, the irises of her eyes returning to their green color.
‘’The hypnotism spell that I learned from Rarity, looks like it works,’’ Sweetie spoke softly into Scootaloo’s ear, testing out the commands.
"The many things Rarity taught me really do come in handy. I’m surprised that this wasn’t a lesson about the history of fashion." Many thoughts rushed through Sweetie Belle’s mind.
“Mmmm… let’s see what I can do…” she again approached Scootaloo’s ear. “Now you will be a… Chicken!” Scootaloo immediately started to ‘peck’ the ground while Sweetie laughed at the scene. She laughed while rolling on the bed with her hooves on her belly.
