I present to you,
Murdershy's demise.
''Why do they all think I'm bad?'' Pinkie was restless, ''It's not like I've ever done anything really wrong, is it?'' She paced back and forth in her room above Sugarcube Corner. Her friends had been staying away from her for the last week, ever since Rainbow Dash's dissappearence. Suddenly an idea struck her, ''Do they think it was me who made Dashie leave?'' Rainbow dash had dissappeared mysteriously one night, about a week ago. Pinkie had not been suspicious, however, as she had just assumed that Dash had to go somewhere and didn't have time to tell anypony.
''Oh well, I'll just have to see what jobs I can do for the Cake's while I wait for my friends to come back to me after they realize how mean they're being.'' Pinkie trotted downstairs, her trademark smile shining as she searched for either Mr. or Mrs. Cake, ''Where've they gone?'' She said. ''Maybe they've got a super-huge special order and they're out delivering. They should have told me about it first though, I might've been worried.'' Pinkie wandered out into the streets of Ponyville, the sun shone down and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Today was going to be a good day.
Back at Sugarcube Corner, in the dark, damp basement was a cyan pegasus. She appeared to be missing several patches of skin and what remained of it was slightly whitened by the loss of blood. The pegasus groaned slightly, a small rivulet of blood ran from her mouth, flowing down her body and dripping into the ever-widening puddle of blood. She tried to speak, ''Pinkie...Pinkie...Save..me,'' The pegasus coughed, sending drops of blood flying at the other wall.
''Sa...Save....me...Pi...kie,'' Then she fainted.
Pinkie trotted through town, enjoying the warm sun, ''Where shall I go today?'' She said to herself, ''I could go to the library, but I think Twilight doesn't want me to go there at the moment.''
She trotted a little further then stopped, looking up at the sky, It really was cloudless, and pegasusless, Where were they all? For that matter where was anypony? Town was deserted, shutters drawn, doors closed and bolted. ''Why is everypony hiding away today? It's such a nice day.'' A terrible thought dawned on her, ''Maybe...NO IT CAN'T BE, is there some sort of big party going on in another town? How can I not have been told.'' As this thought occured, so did another one, ''Hey, wait a minute, Fluttershy doesn't like big parties, she'll stay at home, so maybe I should go find her and ask her where this party is.'' Her mind set, Pinkie set off towards Fluttershy's cottage on the outskirts of Ponyville.
Back in the basement, A figure clothed in a dark, hooded rag-like dress, decended the stairs. The figure called out to the cyan pegasus, ''Oh Dashie, you're so cute when you're helpless,''
The pegasus slowly gained conciousness, she just managed to speak, ''F....Sh...Stop...Please...Stop.''
The figure moved over to the pegasus, it stroked her mane a few times, ''Such a lovely mane,''
It stopped stroking and took a clump of matted, rainbow-coloured mane in it's teeth. Then it reared up and jumped back sharply, tearing a large piece of her mane out. The pegasus screwed up her eyes in pain, too weak to scream, she just let a single tear drop. ''Oh Dashie, It's such a shame we can't be friends anymore. You're so pretty.''
As Fluttershy's cottage came into view, Pinkie began to bounce at the thought of finally being able to speak to somepony that wasn't herself. ''Woah, I just realized that I haven't spoken to anypony yet, all the better then that I'm gonna see Fluttershy.'' She literally bounced up to the door and beat on it several times, ''Hey Fluttershy, come on, open up, It's me, Pinkie.'' Nopony opened the door, so eventually Pinkie decided that, 'If Fluttershy isn't opening the door and she isn't in town or at the party then she must be hurt or stuck somewhere inside.' With this thought Pinkie pushed against the door, it promptly fell down. ''Oopsy!'' said Pinkie ''I'll have to fix that, but later, Fluttershy needs me.'' She walked through the cottage, ''Where have all the animals gone?''
''And why is it so dusty and dark in here?'' Pinkie trotted over to the window, cracking open the shutters, ''That's a bit better.'' Now, with some light in the room, Pinkie could see the room properly. She retched a few times, then after the initial shock died down, lent against a wall breathing deeply. What she had assumed was a carpet in the darkness was actually a mass of bloodied animal pelts. ''What happened here?'' All over the walls were poorly stuffed animals
their stuffing appeared to have been shoved in on top of their insides after they had been nailed up. ''This...Is horrible.'' She stammered, ''What could cause anypony do this, let alone caring soft Fluttershy.''
In the basement, the figure had turned away from the pegasus to gaze upon a large rack of saws, knives, stakes and other assorted items which should never have been found in a bakery.
The figure called out, ''Dashie, I hope you're ready, we have a lot to do and unfortunately, YOU don't have much time to do it in.'' The pegasus shivered, ''Why?Flu....Shy, why?'' She managed to say before coughing up more blood. ''Why?''
''I should think that would be obvious.'' The figure shrugged off the hood revealing a pale pink mane.
''Wha....have...I..done...t'...you? The pegasus struggled to speak as she started choking on blood again. ''What have you done,'' the figure said, ''You've only bullied me non-stop for the last several years just because I'm not a strong flier or because I like little animals more than sports.''
''Wha...?''
''You always draw attention to ME being the weak one, ALWAYS.''
''I'm sorr-,'' She was cut off as she began coughing again.
''TOO LATE, I'm going to kill you Rainbow Dash, and I'm going to enjoy it.''
''The...Others...''
''Don't worry about them Dashie, they all think that you're already dead, and that Pinkie Pie killed you.''
Fluttershy, driven mad by Dashes accidental 'bullying', grabbed a long bladed knife from the rack and turned to face the cyan pegasus. ''Goodbye Dashie.''
At the cottage, Pinkie was searching for any clues as to what might have caused Fluttershy to kill so many innocent animals. A note pinned to a noticeboard with a small knife caught her attention. She ripped the note off of the board and tried to read the writing, ''That Dash, she's dead. I will feast on her worthless flesh as she screams for death and a release from the torment. She caused it such to me now she will have a taste of it too.'' Pinkie dropped the note in horror. Who would write such a thing? Underneath where the note had been, there was a few words engraved in the wooden board.
'S.C. Corner,
REVENGE,
5th day of the 4th month,
REVENGE SHALL BE MINE.'
Now Pinkie was properly scared, first the dead animals, now some sort of death message about Dash, ''Wait, that date was a week ago, I think dash came into Sugarcube Corner about then.''
Rainbow Dash had been accompanied by a dark cloaked mare, and they had both gone into the basement. Pinkie had left without bothering them, unwilling to upset Dash, who was always touchy on the subject of mares. ''I saw the robed one leave but I didn't see Dash. The robed one must've been Fluttershy, she must've tricked Dash into going into the basement and then locked her in.'' Pinkie stood stunned by her discovery. ''I need to try and save Dash!'' She said grimly. Then she galloped off towards Sugarcube Corner at full speed, ''I'm coming Dash, hold on.''
In the basement Fluttershy had pinned Dashes wing back with the knife, the pegasus had fallen unconcious again and she was waiting for her to wake up so she could continue the torture. Fluttershy sat down against the door, ''Now no-one can open the door Dashie, we're all alone.'' she said to the unconcious pegasus. She began to shine up another knife with a piece of Rainbow Dashes' mane. ''You'll regret what you did to me Rainbow, truly, you will.'' Just as Dash began to stir from her pain-induced sleep, hoofsteps echoed from the hallway leading to the basement. ''What's this?'' Said Fluttershy critically, ''Did somepony find out about this? No matter, they will die with you.'' As she finished saying this, the door smashed open, once again, falling off it's hinges, and a pink pony stood there with a snarl on her face, ''You'll pay for this Fluttershy.'' She growled. The door had slammed into Fluttershy's back, causing her to fall over onto the floor. She stood up a large knife embedded in one of her legs, blood flowing from the wound. Her face was contorted into an expression of pure hate. ''I will kill you Dash and you too Pinkie. Nopony messes with Fluttershy.'' She charged at Pinkie, pulling the knife free and brandishing it in her mouth. Pinkie was unaware that she was probably about to die as she released Rainbow Dash from the chains binding her. ''Thank...you...Pinkie...'' She fainted again, her weakened legs unable to hold her weight. Fluttershy dived forwards and drove the knife deep into Pinkie's back, ''AAARGH, my back.'' She screamed. Fluttershy laughed darkly, ''Hehehe you WILL die, Hahaha.'' Pinkie staggered back, the knife causing her to trip. She fell backwards into the rack of murderous tools, several of the sharp blades caught in her skin drawing blood. Fluttershy, spying her chance to be rid of the annoying pink pony, charged forward. Pinkie didn't bother trying to save herself, she stood up, shaking from the pain and snorted. The charging pegasus, blinded by rage, ran straight into Pinkie and the rack of torture tools. The whole rack teetered back and forth, the two ponies next to it locked in a fatal embrace. ''Fluttershy...if you kill me...you'll die...Get away now!'' Fluttershy, shocked by this last act of kindness from the pony, hesitated as she was about to impale Pinkie on yet another knife, too late. Summoning the last of her failing strength, Pinkie kicked out, sending Fluttershy crashing into the bottom of the unbalanced rack.
Meanwhile, upstairs in the shop, the Cakes had just returned from their delivery. ''Dear, can you hear something?'' Asked Mrs. Cake.
''Nah, It's nothing, you're just tired from the long day.'' Replied her husband.
''Okay...It's just me then. It's just that I'm sure I heard crashing, like a shelf falling down or something.''
''Don't worry about it, I'll call in the carpenter pony from next door. He'll fix anything.''
In the basement, there was no sound at all. Perfect silence reigned. One cyan pegasus climbed to her hooves. She called out, ''Pinkie...Are....you...'kay..'' The clattering of multiple pieces of metal moving broke the silence, a voice sounded out from under the array of sharp objects.
''Dash...Help...'' Rainbow Dash dragged herself wearily across the floor, as she had collasped again
and tryed to find the source of the voice, ''Pinkie...Where...areyou?''
''Over here'' Dash moved as fast as she could towards the voice. She pulled away several pieces of sharp metal, cutting herself in the process. She saw a pink hoof feebly trying to reach her. She removed some of the other items, revealing a badly bleeding Pinkie Pie, she was alive, only just. The mass of the knifves had fallen on Fluttershy, only some of the slightly less deadly stuff had fallen upon Pinkie. She dragged Pinkie free from the remaining of the tools pinning her down, ''Thank you Dash.'' She managed to say before fainting from blood loss. Rainbow Dash spoke to the unconcious pony, ''Thank you Pinkie.....Thank you.'' Then she too fainted.
Several days later, a purple unicorn mare arrived at Sugarcube Corner, exhausted from her searching. Three of her friends had now dissappeared. This was the last place to check before giving up and making some new friends. As she stepped inside, a painful, drawn-out groan came from down the dark steps leading to the basement. She walked down the steps towards the source of the groaning. The door was lying on the floor. She walked into the room, and then she froze from shock. Two of her friends were lying together on the floor, unconcious, surrounded by a large red puddle. From under the nearby mess of knives and other assorted sharp objects, the groan came again, although it now sounded a lot weaker. The unicorn moved some of the items out of the way with her magic, revealing a pale pink mane and a pastel yellow, very familiar head, ''Fluttershy!'' She called out, ''Can you hear me? FLuttershy!'' The unicorn threw away the rest of the tools covering her friend. As the rest of Fluttershy's body came into view, the purple mare stood back. ''Fluttershy, what happened?'' The cyan pegasus on the floor behind her stirred, ''Twi...is that...You?''
''Rainbow Dash,'' The unicorn exclaimed, forgetting about Fluttershy, ''What happened here?'' As the pegasus began to speak, a dribble of read fell from her mouth. ''Twi...Help us,'' She managed to say.
''Of course, you all need to get straight to hospital, but I don't think Fluttershy can be saved.''
As the shock of seeing all this blood and pain wore off, the unicorn felt several tears fall from her eyes. The pegasus managed to speak again, ''Take...Pinkie...Save her, leave me here..With...Fl'shy''
The unicorn nodded slowly, ''Alright, but I'll be back for you soon. Don't move too much.''
The unicorn galloped off towards the hospital carrying an unconcious Pinkie Pie. When the hoofsteps had faded into the distance, Rainbow Dash turned to face the slumped heap of yellow, ''Well...Fl'shy...Now who kills who?'' Fluttershy managed to growl slightly. Several knives and other assorted blades and tools had pierced her skin, some of them were stuck deeply and wouldn't come free when she shook. The bloodied mess of Fluttershy pulled herself up on the side of one of the still-standing racks, ''RAINBOW DASH, HERE YOU DIE!'' She shouted, grabbing one of the knives stuck in her with her teeth, wrenching it free in a great red spray, she staggered slowly over to the pegasus lying on the floor, unable to move. As Fluttershy raised the knife, intending to shove it deep into Dashes' neck, the unicorn reappeared at the doorway, mouth agast. ''Fluttershy, what are you doing?'' She said, shocked. A pulse of desperate magic pushed the murderous Fluttershy back against the wall. The unicorn froze as she saw what she had done, the knife had flown backwards as well, straight into Fluttershy's torso, pinning her against the wall. Several other sharp instruments had been thrown by the force as well, tearing Fluttershy apart as they flew and embedded themselves in the walls. ''Thank you Twi.'' Dash said, sounding a little better, ''Leave her, she's...Gone...'' The unicorn stood, tears streaming from her face. The memory of Fluttershy's face as she held the knife made her shivver and she stopped crying.
As she carried Dash away to hospital, a strained, eery voice floated from the hellish basement
''I'm...Sorry....My friends....My frien-.'' A painful sounding cough ripped through the voice. Then all was silent. Perfectly silent.
Silence reigned.
