Screaming Eagles
The End Part.
Previous ChapterAs always your most hated enemy attacks when you least expect it, you scrunch your eyes doing your best to quell the orange glow that invades your eyelids but it’s futile.
Slowly you open your blurry gaze to the sun, as it rises from across the meadow, you whisper curses of vengeance, which will never come, as your mind slowly begins to take in the surrounding area.
Your room seems to be missing allot of its furniture, more than usual, however your blanket is beyond warm as you snuggle into its feathery and furry embrace.
Wait fur... feathers?
You look down at your ‘blanket’ as you feel it shuffle and move in your embrace.
What the hell! You scream internally at yourself before the realisation hits you.
Your breath begins to calm down as you look over Gilda’s blissful body
Oh, right.
You begin to remember the night before, as warm and blissful memories of the moment you shared with the sleeping griffon comes to the forefront of your mind. You can’t help but feel a dopy grin come over you, as you close your arms around the sleeping She-griffon.
Man, that was, that was something else...
You let her stay in your embrace for a while looking at her peaceful form as you move your hands around her, she instinctively leans further into you muttering something , as a happy smile comes over her beak. It’s too cute and you chuckle softly at her reaction.
You look around the area, it seems familiar, but you can’t place it, you’re still pretty sleepy and you can’t get a better view for obvious reasons.
Funny now that you have a moment to think you realise that she’s now effectively going out with you, you scan for the feather that’s still where it was the night before, it’s funny now that it’s happened it’s not as weird as it should be.
Mom always said id settle for someone unique, guess she was right, at least she’s soft. You joke to yourself as you try and entertain the notion of showing Gilda to your relatives.
As you move around to get more comfortable against the bark of the tree you’ve been sleeping on you grimace at the talon wounds across your back, there not deep but they’re goanna hurt when you fully come to, as it happens Gilda is a bit of scratcher who would have thought.
The small scuffling are enough to wake the sleeping Griffon, as she steadily opens her eyes and yawns trying to nuzzle into you for warmth. However after a few seconds she snaps back, and shoots up, guess she had the same thought process you did.
“Hey feather brain, miss me?” You reply smoothly, thankful that you’ve had long enough to deal with the oddity of last night to look cool about it.
“H-hey” she mummers weakly, looking around and then back to you. She’s not pulling away which you take as a good sign but you guessing she still taken aback by it all. After a minute she slowly releases again.
“Oh man, thank Griffonia I thought it was a dream.” She whispers, looking back at you with a soft smile.
You lean forward and plant a small kiss on her beak. “Nope it’s all real, and you have to live with that now, hope you can handle it.” You joke pulling back from the kiss.
She looks you up and down and sighs contently. “Heh, yeah think I can manage.”
“One thing I don’t get and I know I’m tempting fate, but I have to know, why did you give me the feather in the morning? Couldn’t it wait for a more I don’t know a more romantic setting, and now that I think about it how did you think I would know what it meant?” you ask immediately wanting to take the question back as flashing images come to mind of her yelling and punching you.
Instead you treated to a grump frown as she looks you in the eye. “First of all it’s my fault for leaving the feather I wanted it to be a surprise but your loser ass took so long for breakfast that I must have left it.”
Huh, so she’s still calling me names, well baby steps I guess.
She points an accusing talon at your chest narrowly missing your cut. “And second I did tell you idiot! Don’t you remember the book i gave you last week?”
You think back to what you were doing last week, as you look towards the sky in thought.
Your slump into the couch covered in god knows what, as another day of your job comes to an end, you close your eyes slowly trying to fall asleep. Until you hear the sound of claws scrapping against the floor, the sounds come closer and closer to you.
“Hey stupid read this, don’t ask why” Gilda all but blurts out at you throwing a book at your chest, before turning and flying away quickly.
You lift the book up towards you face with blurry eyes as you skims the title.
“Guide to ... mate...rituals... non griffons.” You mumble not even glancing at the title for more than two seconds as the exhaustion overwhelms you.
I’ll read it later. You think as you chuck the book down. Hearing it slide under the furniture.
You bring a pained and tired hand across you face, as you drag it down in realisation of the book Gilda was talking about.
“Um, yeah I think I remember seeing it somewhere.” You sheepishly laugh, hoping she believes the blatant lie.
Thankfully she’s not too bothered by your response, as she leans against you naked form.
“Screw it, it’s over now, but I am holding you to your promise, so you better keep it, or else.”
You chuckle at the odd mixture of loving affection and not to subtle death threats as you wrap your hands further around her, feeling her grin in response as her beak pushes against you chest.
It’s a moment you’ll likely remember for a very long time, you know it’s not going to be easy hell most peop-pony aren’t going to accept that, but they can go bugger themselves for all that matters as long as you have her, and she has you.
You relax as time itself seems to become a thing of the past. However all things must end even something a s fantastic as this, as you spot a white blur at the corner of your sight, you lift your head from Gilda’s shoulder.
Oh its just a bunny, wait why does it have such an evil grin...
The puzzle pieces connect as you realise who that bunny belongs to, you don’t get a chance to even comment before you hear the shy voice of the owner and realise exactly why this place is so familiar.
“Angel where did you g... oh my!”
You and Gilda slowly turn your heads, as your gaze lands on the small yellow and pink Pegasus.
“H-hey boss, how’s it going?”
Fuck morning’s
