//-------------------------------------------------------// The truth about the manager. -by Orchid Star eyes- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Coming to her sences. //-------------------------------------------------------// Coming to her sences. Rainbow dash stared into the terrified, violet eyes with her own. Their ferocious, rose glow seemed to burn through her sisters soul like a forest fire. Splashes of spectra and blood covered the ruthless, cyan pegasus. Her hair was torn and greasy with sweat. Rainbow puffed and panted as her caged soul tried to reason with her, begging her to realise what she was becoming. But the beast inside Rainbow Dash had taken over and all that was recognisable of the old Rainbow Dash - The real Rainbow Dash - was the two rose irises that Scootaloo was forced to stare into. The young pegasus failure struggled in the chains that pinned her to the device, trying desperately to launch into flight and soar away from her impending doom. "Any final words, You miserable failure of a pegasus?" Rainbow Dash snarled. Scootaloo shivered before breathing deeply. She brought her shoulders back and her chin high, still demanding at least the tiniest fraction of dignity. "Y..You have beautiful eyes." Scootaloo sighed softly, yet clearly. Her shackles seemed to grip her wrist tight as she winced and closed her eyes. The sound of moving metal echoed around the almost silent room. SHING! As Rainbow Dash destroyed her only sister she grinned in mellifluous pleasure. "HA HA HA HA." her maniacal laughter ringed through her head. Suddenly, she dropped the weapon from her hand as she came to her senses. The workers in the main theatre room froze and stared in shock. For the first time in centuries the rainbow factory was filled with empathy. Rainbow Dash could do nothing but stare at the vats of spectra which was once her sister and closest friend. Her eyes stung with sadness as Doctor Atmosphere strode slowly up to his manager. "Don't worry Dash," he tried to comfort her, "Come we have rainbows to make." He placed his hand on her shoulder as her eyes flooded with tears. "NO!" She wailed as she fell to her knees, "Hide, she's gone..." Startled, Doctor Hide Atmosphere pulled his hand away. "Rainbow please don't..." he was interrupted with another of Dash's desperate screams. "SHE'S GONE MY ONLY SISTER IS GONE!" The whole factory was silent and even the machines seemed to stop. The failures that cowered in the corner shivered at the sudden change in the mare's mood, the very pegasus who ran the ruthless, bloodthirsty organisation was brought to her knees by the death of one failure. "GONE, GONE, GONE GOONE!!" she bawled as the whole world seemed to be silenced by the cyan, mare's sorrow. The caterwaul of the rainbow factory manager circled Cloudsdale Weather Corporation as the cogs of the pegasus device quietly creaked. Rainbow Dash had seen many horrors in her time as a manager and even more as an employee but on that miserable, awful day she decided had seen enough. Her eyes became red, glowing pools of anger. "Get everybody out of this room," she shouted at the guards, "Seal it off. Lock it down. No one goes in unless I say they can." Most of the workers already understood how seriously she meant it and had began to leave the hall. "But Ms. Dash-" "Do as I say! Use the backup devices for now. The main theatre room is to remain off-limits to everyone!" The workers where making their way out and Doctor Atmosphere was taking the failures out of the hall. "But Ms. Dash, what do you want us to do with the foal?" The guards continued staring at the orange, blood-stained filly at the mare's feet. "GET OUT! Just leave me be. I'll deal with her...alone." The anger in her voice faded to despair as tears began to sting her eyes again. The stallions closed the rusted, iron doors and slipped the keys under the door so she would be able to leave. Their footsteps echoed around the main theatre room and as they walked further away the silence wrapped the hall in a lonely quietness, stifling all the sound in the desolate room. Rainbow Dash sat by her departed sister and sobbed in the bereavement of her loss. "Sister how could I have failed you?..."
