You hover you hand over the ball of light as it rapidly changed from blue to red, and every other colour in the spectrum. A sob came out of the defeated princesses, weeping over their loses. You couldn't tell if it was the loss of power or loss of their friends they were morning. You finally understood the connection between you and your goal.
You finally understood everything. This... entity of knowledge and abilities is what made this world, and the closer you were to it, the stronger you got. You plunged your mortal body into the very essence of this world.
A few weeks earlier~
“You fucking pussy!” The skin-head yelled as he slammed his fist into your stomach. You yelped, quickly crumbling into the ground. His buddy started slamming their feet onto your back and sides, quickly sub-duing you. You never wanted to die like this. Suddenly, a pulse went through your mind, and something clicked.
~Quickly jump up, push one of them away and take out the other one.~
With your body running on auto-pilot, you spring up, delivering a sharp shove to the one on the left. He went tumbling, knocking the first attacker back. You turned, sending a small flurry of jabs and crosses into his friend's face. Stepping back, you breathed and took in your surroundings.
The alley way you took a shortcut in was dark and only two or three meters wide. It seemingly went on for a long way. Your head caught up with the action, leaving yourself wondering what the voice in your head was.
~I'll explain later. They are both going to charge at once. When one gets close, backhand the side of his head and push him to the side, then deliver a hay-maker to the other. Turn on the spot and disable the last one or run.~
The men charged, one of them being two meters behind. As the original attacker drew near, you quickly pimp-slapped him, throwing him to your left. You leaned forward, drawing momentum as you slammed your fist into the second guy's face and cringing at the sound of teeth cracking. You turn on the spot, with the last guy just getting up. He picks up a pipe from the dirty floor, twirling it then charging at you.
~He'll do a swing over his head. Just kick his stomach then boot his face.~
He swung the pipe over his head, with a grin highlighting his bloody nose. He hopped forward before bringing it down. You back-pedalled, swinging your right foot into his side, causing him to curl a little. The pipe carried on, glancing off your shoulder. Grimacing in pain, you jump up, placing your foot into his face, landing on his head.
You hop off his still foot, turning to see what damage you did to hi-
~Don't look back, walk on and ignore them.~
You quickly whisper to yourself, “Holy shit that was amazing.” You walked forward, feeling like a bad ass. “So... what are you?”
~A entity. You wouldn't believe me if I told you. But I have a offer you are able to decline.~
“Oh, go on?” You quizzically ask, walking further away from the fight. You hear a moan echo.
~Well, first let me state this: I am a property of your mind. I know all that you know. All that advice I gave you? You knew it, I just pulled the information together. It also means I know about your life. Your badly paid job, your loneliness, your... tragic events. We both know you wish to leave your life.~
“That... is true.”
~So, how about you enter a new world, fresh start and a new chance, under one condition?~
“This is so ridiculous, but I'll play along. What is the catch?”
~You are my champion. You must accept the destiny set for the champion.~
“Celestia!”
Luna's voice rings out. She gallops up to your throne. The sun light seeped through the windows, casting the marble room into a evening orange. Luna looked worried and startled, breathing heavily.
“Luna, my dearest sister, what is wrong?”
Luna gulped. “The stars... I never understood some of the stories of the future, but now I see a important section clearly.” Luna's speech pattern had modernized since she came back, but the sentence came out in slow mumbles or quick rambles. “You know the history of Equestrian before Discord, right? About the four demi-gods?”
You sigh deeply. You considered it a over-exaggerated tale about a group of magicians, but Luna said that the stars showed them. She had refused to tell you anything about that era, but she was drunk.
“Four demi-gods, spawn of Faust, who controlled the land and changed certain elements? A amusing tale and interesting history, but what about it?”
Luna breathed in. You expected this to be long. “Well, they are the origin of the first spells, and were the reason for Equestria, but only though accidents. Each was assigned a element, one fire, one air, one water, one earth.”
“So, they are the spirit of each element?” You knew vast amounts of history and science, not to mention magic, but never the real history of mythical ages. This is history even Discord wouldn't know.
“No, they were just given control. But the main thing, is that they are returning. And remember how I said that they created this land through accident?”
You simply nod.
“They waged war on each other, fighting and ravaging the natural order, creating Equestria as we knew it. Imagine the demi-god of fire coming back? The stars tell of their great hunger for fighting, and we will have a hard time dealing with it.”
You opened your mouth a slightly. This was all new to you. You clicked your tongue against your teeth.
“The solution?”
