Chapters Soarin pretended he had no idea to what Fleet Foot was gonna say next. He sighed in annoyance.
"What did the alicorn say next, Fleet Foot?" He asked.
"He said: I have wings! I'm an alicorn!" She started laughing and laughing at her own joke.
Soarin rolled his eyes."Okay Fleet Foot. I gotta go now" he said as he zoomed off into the distance.
Fleet Foot looked at him sadly. She sighed."He'll never like me" she whispered to herself.
"What's wrong?" Asked Cloud Buster, a male wonderbolt.
"Soarin" she said.
Cloud Buster smiled "wanna talk about it?" He asked as he placed a hoof on her shoulder.
Fleet Foot threw his hoof off her shoulder "Leave me alone!" She snarled.

Soarin felt the cool breeze flow through his mane as he flew to where Spitfire was training the recruits who wanted to be wonder bolts. He saw her yelling at a blue pegasi with a rainbow mane. He swooped down and swiped at her fiery mane playfully. She turned around quickly.
"Who was that?!" She thundered.
Soarin let himself drop in a professional move that always impressed her."Hey Spitfire!" He said cheerfully.
Spitfire's scowl was replaced with a smile."What's up, Soarin?" She asked in her regular voice.
"Mm. Not much. Just training over there with Fleet Foot and the others" he replied.
Spitfire nodded in approval.
"G'day captain" he said in a british tone.
Spitfire laughed " G'day, Soarin" she said putting on her own British accent.
Soarin smiled at her once again before he whispered something in her ear "need help training these guys?" He asked.
Spitfire nodded her head eagerly. She faced the recruits "Soarin, my partner, will be helping you train! I expect you all you listen to his orders like you do to mine!" She announced loudly.
"I'll split them into teams" she told Soarin as she turned to face him. "Thunder Lane, Cloud Chaser, Lightning Dust and Rainbow Dash!" She yelled."Come over here! You're gonna be practicing on the dizatron!" She settled, as the four pegasi trotted over to her side.
"Do I get the rest of them?" He asked.
Spitfire nodded her head. Soarin felt his heart lighten up at helping Spitfire. "What do I teach them?" He asked.
"You see those clouds formed in a circle over there?" She asked as she motioned her hoof by the training clouds.
Soarin nodded his head yes."I make them do how many laps?" He asked.
" Five hundred" she replied as if it was a small number.
Soarin smiled goofily as he admired her beautiful, fiery mane and her deep,dark caramel eyes...
"SOARIN!" Spitfire was waving a hoof in his face.
"Yeah?" He asked still a but dazed.
"They're waiting on you" she reminded him.
Soarin shook the feeling off him as he flew to catch up with his group.
"When are we gonna start, coach?" Asked Bulk Biceps.
Soarin cocked a eyebrow. "First time you've said something besides yelling YEA!" He mumbled. He turned on his feirce mode. "Gimme five hundred laps! NOW!" He yelled as he watched the pegasi zoom into action. He felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Hey Soarin." It was Fleet Foot.
He muttered something under his breath before turning his green gaze to her. "What?" He asked.
"I got us tickets to the new movie: Lost love!" She squealed.
Soarin looked at her like she was eating a filly's new coloring book "Uh...I'm not going... I don't feel well" he lied as he forced himself to cough.
Fleet Foot glared at him "Fine! I'll just go with Rainbow Dash!" She spat as she flew away.
Maybe I could get me and Spitfire tickets to a fancy dinner! He thought as he smiled at the idea.
"Hey Soarin!"
He heard Spitfire's voice in the distance. He turned his head
"Y-yeah?" He asked quickly.
Spitfire giggled. "I'm done with the Dizatron. Is your team done?" She asked.
Soarin nodded his head. Now was his chance to ask her! He didn't have the guts. "H-hey Spitfire... Um... Nice glasses!" He blurted out.
"Uh..Thanks!" She replied as she trotted away.
Soarin gave himself a face hoof "I gotta ask her!" He told himself.
"We're done!" Yelled a pink pegasi with a yellow mane.
"You guys are dissmised" he replied as he zoomed off to his own room.

When he finally got to his room he flopped down on his bed. "How do I ask her?" He wondered aloud. He turned on his lamp and opened the window a crack. He opened the door to his bathroom as he turned on the water and gave it some time to heat up. He took off his goggles and set them on the floor. He quickly scurried inside the warm shower.
"Aaahhhh" he exclaimed once the warm water made contact with his fur. He grabbed the soap bar and started scrubbing himself. "Where is a fancy resurant?" He asked himself as he quickly returned into the water and put the soap bar where it belonged. He grabbed his mane shampoo and began running his hoof through his soft navy-blue mane. His mind scampered through all the restaurants he had attended... That's it! Diamond Diner! He pumped his hoof in the air triumphantly as he rinsed out what was left of the shampoo in his mane as he switched off the water and dried himself off quickly. He zoomed out of his room out into the afternoon. He was gonna get his special lady and himself some Diamond Diner reservations.
Soarin was as happy as ever. He had scored Spitfire and himself some Diamond Diner reservations! All he needed was to ask her now...
"Soarin!" It was Fleet Foot again.
"Celestia, what does she want?!" He huffed quietly.
"Yoo-hoo! Soarin!" She yelled again.
Soarin turned around to face her "what now?" He asked.
Fleet Foot scowled a bit before calming herself down. "Wanna go to the Library?" She asked.
Soarin gawked at her "no" he replied.
Fleet Foot pretended like she didn't care "whatever then" she said. But deep down inside, she cared. She cared a lot.

Soarin was practicing what he was gonna say to Spitfire.
"Hey Spitfire! Wanna go out?" He asked himself. "Nah".
" Spitfire wanna go hang out at the Diamond Diner? I got us reservations" he tried. "No".
" Oh hey Spitfire. I scored us some reservations at the diamond diner... Wanna go?". Yup, that was the way. He smiled as he trotted out of his room and knocked on Spitfire's door.
"Hey Soarin". It was Spitfire.
" Oh hey Spitfire. I scored us some reservations to the diamond diner... Wanna come?" He asked.
"Sure. What time?" She asked.
"Tomorrow night" he said quickly.
Spitfire smiled "I'll be ready... Say, wanna go watch the sun set?" She asked casually.
"Yeah okay" said Soarin as he watched Spitfire close her door shut and trot next to him.
"So. What's your favorite movie?" Asked Spitfire.
Soarin shrugged. "I guess I sorta like Fast Flyers" he said.
Spitfire nodded. "Yeah it's a pretty good movie" she agreed.
Soarin smiled. "Race ya' to the cloud!" He challenged.
Spitfire smiled. "Your on!" She said.
"On your marks... Get set...GO!" Yelled Soarin as the two zoomed off.
Spitfire was slightly ahead of Soarin leaving a trail of fire behind her as she pulled ahead quicker and beat him by a neck. That's okay. He let her win anyways.
Soarin sat down on the soft, fluffy cloud quickly. Spitfire did the same. She sat next to him. Very closely.
Soarin felt his heart leap. "You know Spitfire... You're so amazing and pretty" he said.
Spitfire smiled "you're handsome yourself Mr. Soarin" she said. She rubbed her head by his neck.
Soarin blushed as he looked down at her orange mane and smiled sweetly as he pulled her closer to him.
Spitfire let herself be pulled closer to Soarin as she looked up at him. "Soarin... I-I..nothing it's dumb" she corrected herself.
Soarin looked down at her. "No part of you Is dumb" he whispered.
Spitfire smiled as she leaned in for a kiss. Her lips locked with Soarin's as he on purposely fell over and had Spitfire on top of him, kissing him smoothly. Spitfire's lips tasted like a bite of heaven to him. She swiftly pulled away as her amazing dark brown eyes glimmered with love and affection.
Soarin smiled lovingly as he sat back up.
Spitfire ran her hoof through his navy blue mane slowly and steadily.
"I'm tired" murmured Spitfire quietly.
"Me too" said Soarin as he layed down.
"Sleep here?" She asked him.
"Why not?" She asked In a whisper as she layed down next to him and put a hoof across his chest affectionately.

Soarin woke up to see Spitfire still sleeping soundly with her hoof still layed across his chest. He smiled as he stood up and stretched his wings out quickly before lightly nudging Spitfire.
"C'mon Spitfire. Wake up" he said quietly as her brown eyes slowly opened.
" 'Morning" she said as she stood up and stretched her own wings out.
Soarin looked around. "We better leave before some pony spots us" he whispered in her ear.
Spitfire nodded wearily as the couple flew tierdly to the Wonder blots training cloud.
"What a night" remarked Soarin, remembering his first kiss that had taken place only last night.
Spitfire smiled. "You're a pretty good kisser" she said playfully.
Soarin blushed "you're better" he replied.
Now Spitfire blushed.
Soarin leaned his head in for another tender kiss with her before he heard a farmiliar voice.
"Soarin?!" It was Fleet Foot... Again!
Soarin turned his head away from Spitfire "Sweet Celestia, WHAT!?" He asked.
Fleet Foot frowned. "You don't love me!" She yelled.
Soarin jerked his head back in surprise. "Why the heck would I love a rude retard like you!?" He asked.
Fleet Foot scowled. "We're over!" She snarled.
"We were never even together!" He responded.
Spitfire turned her head to him. "You don't have to lie" she whispered as tears formed in her eyes.
"No! Spitfire! I don't know what she's talking about!" Insisted Soarin.
Spitfire wiped a tear from her eye. "I was so stupid to think you didn't already have a marefriend!" She shouted.
Soarin gave her a sad look. "No! Spitfire!" He yelled. Too late. The yellow Pegasus was already zooming to her room.
Soarin looked down sadly. "Fleet Foot. Is the one to blame" he growled angrily. Images of the hated mint Pegasus flashed through his mind. He flew quickly to his room. When he got there he set fire on the fireplace quickly and zoomed out and knocked on Spitfire's door.
No answer. Only the sound of her sniffles and crying. He felt like some pony was scratching his heart at the sound of her feelings hurt because of him.
He leaned himself against the door. "She's lying, Spitfire" he whispered.
Spitfire's cries were cut short as she tried to stay silent.
Soarin sadly flew back to his room. "Oh Celestia. What has Fleet Foot done?" He whispered.
Soarin woke up and rubbed his eyes as he shook his head "what a dream" he murmured. He heard a knock on his door.
"Come in!" He yelled.
Fleet Foot opened the door as she stepped in. "I forgive you" she said quietly.
Soarin cocked a eyebrow "for what?" He asked.
Fleet Foot rolled her eyes. "We're back together now" she said softly.
Soarin groaned and shut his eyes tight.it hadn't been a dream! he thought miseribaly.
Fleet Foot sat on his rug patiently.
Soarin looked at her. "Get out" he whispered as a tear rolled down his face.
Fleet Foot Frowner.
"GET OUT!" He yelled.
Startled, Fleet Foot scrambled out of his room quickly.
Soarin wiped his eyes as he got out of bed and stretched his wings sadly. He slowly trotted out of his room and opened Spitfire's door.
"Spitfire?" He asked as he looked around for the yellow pegasus. He trotted out of her room and closed her door as he flew to the training cloud. She was up earlier than usual with her Wonderbolt suit on sitting down looking at the ground.
Soarin bit his lip as he trotted over to her. "Spitfire?" He whispered.
"What?" She retorted.
Soarin put his hoof around her. "I have no idea what Fleet Foot was talking about yesterday" he said.
Spitfire raised an eyebrow. "Really?" She asked.
Soarin nodded his head.
Spitfire gave him an unconvinced expression. "Yeah right" she said sarcastically.
Soarin sighed "believe me! Its true!"
"Okay. Promise?"
"YES!"
Spitfire wiped a tear from her own eye as she snuggled close to him. "Friends again?" She asked.
Soarin nodded his head "yeah. Remember Diamond Diner tonight!" He reminded cheerfully.
Spitfire nodded her head "yeah" he said trying to lift her spirits.
Soarin smiled as he zoomed back to his room and zipped on his wonderbolt suit. Today the recruits had a day off so Spitfire could train with the others and himself. He zoomed out of his room quickly.
"Soarin!" It was Cloud Buster.
"Yeah?" He skidded to a halt and turned around.
"Have you seen Fleet Foot?" He asked nervously.
"No.why?" He questioned.
"Oh. I'm just kinda concerned about her" he replied sheepishly.
Soarin smiled. "Seems like some pony's gotta crush" he teased.
Cloud Buster blushed. "She's just been kind of... Not herself lately" he blurted out.
Soarin shrugged. "Whatever. Let's go train!"

Soarin pulled on his tuxedo and gave a wolf whistle to himself at his reflection in the mirror. "I'm SO ready!" He exclaimed as he trotted out his door and knocked on Spitfire's.
"COMING!" Spitfire's voice replied his knock as the yellow pegasus stepped out.
She looked amazing! She had on a sleek modern red dress and one strand of her fiery mane was in her face.
"Ready?" Asked Soarin.
Spitfire nodded slowly.

"What will be your order, sir?" Asked the waiter.
"I'll take a deluxe oat meal, triple marmalade Oreo milkshake and a small apple pie" he ordered casually as he waited for the waiter to scribble it down.
"And you, ma'am?" Asked the waiter as he turned to Spitfire.
"Same thing as his order, except I'll take a mint oreo deluxe fudge smoothie" she said quietly.
The waiter nodded as he scribbled the last of it down on his notepad and trotted off.
"Are you okay? You seem kinda mad" remarked Soarin.
"So?!"
"What are you mad about?"
"I still don't really believe you"
"About what?"
"Fleet Foot!"
"She's lying! Why are you mad about it!?"
"I just am! Okay?!"
A white pony turned around to face Spitfire with a annoyed expression. She had a violet mane and blue eye-shadow. She was chatting with the well known Hoity Toity.
"Sshh!" Hissed Soarin. This was not going as planned.
Spitfire sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm just kinda stressed out"
Soarin placed a hoof on hers and smiled reassuringly.
"Your dinner, sir" said the Waiter as he gave Soarin his oat meal, milkshake and pie. He placed it in front of Soarin and turned his blue gaze to Spitfire. "Your meal ma'am" he murmured as he placed her own food in front of her.
Spitfire nodded gratefully.
Soarin started gobbling up his main course hungrily.
Spitfire poked at her food with her fork and started eating.
"Mmm..this is good" said Soarin muffled with food in his mouth.
Spitfire took another mouthful of food. "Mh-hm" she agreed.
"So.. Uh.. What's your favorite color?" Asked Soarin, eager to start a conversation.
"Orange" replied Spitfire as she took a sip of her milkshake.
"Right. Mine is navy blue" he replied. He took a sip of his own milkshake.
"What would your name be in a genderswap?" Asked Spitfire.
"Glida" he replied.
"Mine would be Lockhead Lightning or something" she said as she took a bite into her small apple pie.
Soarin nodded as he drank the last of his smoothie and he looked around. There were couples talking whith each other dreamily,holding hooves, and one or two kissing. Soarin sighed as he imagined he and Spitfire. "That could be us" he whispered. He gobbled up his pie and wiped his mouth. "Are you done?" He asked.
Spitfire nodded as she jumped off her chair and trotted outside not waiting for Soarin who was paying inside.
Soarin woke up with a cramp in his side.
"Great" he muttered he stood up and stretched. He zipped on his Wonderbolt suit and flew out the door. Spitfire was in her trainer outfit,which meant she would be training the recruits. She had a dreamy expression. Probably remebers our date from yesterday he though happily he flew to the Wonderbolts training cloud and began his warm ups.

Soarin shut his door quickly and peeled off his suit "I'm gonna tell her!" He said happily as he hung his suit on a rack and turned on the shower as he jumped in. "How do I tell her?" He asked aloud. The warm water beat against his coat.
"Spitfire I love you" he blurted out. No
"Hey Spitfire. I love you so much" he said. Nah
"Hey Spit! Just wanted to tell you I love you!" He said quickly. No way.
He would get her flowers and sit next to her as he would scoot closer and whisper "I love you" and they would lock in a deep, passionate kiss.
He scrubbed the soap bar against his soft fur quickly before grabbing his mane shampoo and running it through his mane quickly. He needed to go buy those flowers! He jumped out and grabbed his towel as he dried himself and brushed his mane quickly as he dashed out. "Fleur Flowers, here I come" he murmured he flew towards Ponyville quickly. He passed Mayor Mare's house and opened the door of the shop quickly.
"Hello Sir, how can I help you?" Asked a grey stallion with a white mane.
"Gimme your most expensive flowers!" He ordered.
The stallion beamed slyly as he disappeared under the counter.
Soarin waited patiently as he looked around.
"Here they are, Sir" said the stallion as he gave him a huge bouquet with all types of flowers. "That'll be 147 bits" he said smugly.
Soarin's mouth droped down. He closed it and angrily gave the shop keeper the bits as he zoomed out. He passes Mayor Mare's house again as he zoomed up to Cloudsdale. He rushed to his room and pulled on his tuxedo. He trotted out and knocked on Spitfire's door. No answer. Hmm. Probably in the park bench he trotted around the corner and heard two voices. one of them sounded like Spitfire!
He smiled happily as he grabbed the bouquet as he closed his eyes and trotted into view. He opened his eyes smiling. His smile quickly faded. There she was. KISSING THUNDER LANE! He breathed heavily. "Sp-Spitfire?" He asked.
Spitfire turned arohnd. "What?" She snarled.
Soarin said nothing as he threw the flowers on the ground and flew back to his room breathing heavily as he felt tears swell up in his eyes. He started sobbing uncontrollably now as he threw himself on the bed and buried his face in the pillow. He screamed in rage as he ripped off his tuxedo and yelled. He screamed some more as he cried in his pillow uncontrollably. He galloped into his room and grabbed the picture of Spitfire off his table and shoved it on the ground as he rammed his face in it as the glass cut his skin open and blood poured out. He screamed again in anger as he grabbed her picture and threw it against his wall. He ballooned back to his bed and screamed and cried all night long.

Spitfire opened Soarin's door and stepped in. He was on his bed crying and yelling.
"Soarin?" She asked in disbelief.
Soarin lifted his head slowly as his eye twindged. They were now tiny blue slits as he smiled maniacally.
Spitfire gulped as she zoomed out of the room

Soarin cringed as he smiled in a crazed way. His eyes were tiny slits and his mane was all messed up. He was singing in a creepy voice and thinking. She broke your heart! there was a loud voice inside his head. Soarin screamed "SHUT UP!" He yelled as he pulled his mane. Soarin knew it was true. His eye twitched as a crazed smile spread across his face" She did break my heart. She will pay" he whispered in a sing song voice.
Soarin smiled again in a maniacally way as he thought of a plan to make Spitfire pay. He hadn't gone to that day's training. The voice kept ringing in his mind She broke your heart. She broke your heart. She broke your heart. Soarin couldn't take it anymore as he screamed and pulled his man was he began ripping some hair off his scalp. He caught something shiny in the corner of his eye as he turned to it. "Yyeess" he whispered. He grabbed his knife and laughed madly.
"Soarin" said Fleet Foot in a sing song voice outside his room. She opened the door quickly as she barged in and smiled at him.
Soarin smiled back, but not in a good way. He grabbed the knife and slowly trotted torwards Fleet Foot.
Fleet Foot backed away. "Woah, careful there" she warned.
"You ruined my love life" he whispered. He grabbed the knife and sliced it on her flank.
Fleet Foot teared up as she began sobbing and crying as she lunged for his front hooves to knock him off balance but as she stood up , he quickly sank the sharp dagger in her sensitive belly. Her eyes went wide as she stopped breathing quickly and fell down in science.
Soarin looked at her corpse before laughing crazily and grabbing his knife and galloping to Spitfire's door.
"Come in!" She said.
Soarin slowly opened the door as it creaked open. She was laying down on her bed with some socks on. Her hind hooves widespread ooen. She turned to see him and quickly closed them "Sorry Soarin, though you were Thunder Lane" she chuckled.
Soarin laughed madly as he flew over to her and flopped himself on top of her.
She blushed "Woah! Stop!"
Soarin pulled out his knife as he grabbed her and kissed her one last time before giving her a wound on her hoof.
Spitfire screamed as she started crying.
Soarin slapped her "SHUT UP!" He yelled in her face.
Spitfire kept crying.
Soarin grabbed the knife again and made a dent on her lower stomach.
Spitfire cried in fear and in pain now as she screamed for help.
"Just you and me" he whispered as he made one last move and sank the knife in her throat as blood leaked out on the bed.
"Soarin!" She raspded. Her breath decreadesd as it got lower and lower and shorter and shorter until there was no sound but dead science and the sound of Soarin panting heavily. He left his knife by her side and flew to his room. He grabbed Fleet Foot's dead body and with all his might threw it outside.
Soarin grabbed himself and slammed himself against the wall maniacally. Blood covered the wall as he began thrusting his head against the wall again as his forehead began bleeding. He screamed as he kicked the wall and flew to his bathroom. He slammed his face against the mirror and the glass cut his forehead even more open as blood began streaming out again.
He heard a knocking on his door. "It's Cloud Buster" said a deep male voice.
Soarin opened the door as Cloud Chaser flew in."Woah. You okay?"
Soarin grabbed his knife and simply stabbed himself in the heart. "No. Not anymore" he whispered eerily.
Cloud Buster grabbed Soarin. "No!" Come back to me!" He yelled. Too late. Soarin's breath was cut short.
"I killed them" he whispered. His breath sank away as he awaited the flames of the next world.
