On a day that seemed almost enchanted during the mystic night fall. The light from the moon draped down upon the stallion rushing ever so quickly threw the woods heading for his home. He panted hard from how much energy he had already used his breathscould be seen on such a cold night.

The wind blew hard against his aching body sending shivers threw his spine as he neared the hospital. The tree branches were swaying with the wind. He stopped at the door looking up at the hospital panting a smile glowing over his face.

"I..I made it"

He ran inside stumbling a little as he runs past the counter, one of the ponies yell to him

"Shes in room 134!"

He yelled to her in reply

"Thanks!"

He didn't slowdown for a second as he runs straight to the stairs and climbed up all of them gasping for air as he keeps pushing himself to keep going not wanting to miss a thing.

A few hours ago, It was midday her stallion out of town the day to her self. They had learned that many weeks ago she was holding life of her own that she couldn't wait to share with the world. The days had flown by to the day her stallion was to be home.

But as fate would have it she felt a sharp pain in her as the floor was covered in water moments later. Her eyes had grown wide as she rolled over to her side. She crawled as best she could to the door before her eyes slowly closed.

Moments later she had woken up her vision slightly blurry as she was being run threw the hospital on a stretcher. The lights flew by over her head as she heard doctors yelling

"she's coming to put her back under and hurry we need to get her to a room first!"

Her eyes slowly dropped down as she was slowly encased in darkness before waking up soon filled with pain as she yelled loudly screaming in pain as she looked around seeing a doctor telling her

"Push I can see the foal coming!"

Her eyes were a shiny gold that matched her fur circled around the pupil. Liquid began to arise from the eyes as it started to rain upon her cheeks from the thought of her stallion unable to be there for this special moment that could never be taken back.

Yelling was roaring threw the hall, going into the door as the stallion busted into the room limping to her side as best he could. His own eyes having flooded a little himself his cheeks wet from having pushed himself so hard.

Her eyes gazed upon the stallion who had stolen her heart many years ago she couldn't help but interlock their lips together. He was so exhausted from the run between towns tell he arrived not stopping or even slowing down. Even after all this he still found the strength to return the favorable locking of lips to hers.

Moments into the kiss he felt her hoof squeezing his so hard he grunted barley keeping himself from the floor. Soon the young colt Scoots was born his fur as golden as his mothers. His mane was as golden as his coat, his eyes were as well. he was sleeping soundly when he came out. The proud parents looked down upon their foal with glee not knowing what to say as the nurse handed him to them.

The father quickly took his colt in his hooves looking down at him panting hard as he almost fell from his hooves to the floor but he shook his head laying it on the mothers lap where he snuggled tightly against his mom. The father fell to his side being consumed into a restful sleep having achieved his goal of making it to the birth. As the father was picked up the mother looked over at him and smiled

"you made it dear. its okay you rest now"

She smiled as they took him away she looked down at the little colt saying the name they had chosen many years in advanced

"our little scoots!"
