The Tales of the Mercs

A Pegasus was flying from a building that had a sign that had a sign that said BLU on it and to incidental building  but it had a sign that said RED.  Her red uniform was splattered with blood, a sign of the wounds she had sustained. With lighting bolts on her ankles, goggles on her head and a black baseball cover on, her duty as scout was obvious. When she got into the building she went directly to the lowest floor in the building and stood up on two hoofs. She stopped at a door next to a speaker and knocked.

"Who is it?" A super cheerful voice said.

"It's me Pinkie, Rainbow Dash." The Pegasus said.

"Which one?" Pinkie asked.

"RED."

"What's the password?"

"What password? Before I went to the BLUs, no one told me about a password."

"Nice try Rairty but I am not buying it!"

"Look Pinkie if you don't let me right now I am going to bat all your teeth out when we go to work tomorrow."

When Rainbow Dash finished her rant, the door opened to reveal Pinkie Pie, a mare with pink pants, a pink helmet that was covering her eyes, and a red shirt also standing upright, just like her rainbow-maned ally.

"Sorry Dash, but I didn't know if you were a spy!"

Rainbow Dash glared at Pinkie as she walked through the door. When she continued walking, she saw a purple dragon with green spines in his red pyrotechnic outfit. on the couch next to him was a lavender unicorn, talking. A hard hat, gray goggles, a red shirt, and jeans worn down by months of building defensive equipment was her attire.

"Spike, Twilight, have either of you seen Zecora around?"

"Last time I saw her she was going with Big Mac, trying to see if her new brew works. They're probably in the infirmary." Twilight said.

"Thanks." Rainbow Dash asked as she walked to the infirmary. Zecora, a zebra with red face paint, red gloves, a white lab coat, and brown pants was putting something away. Rainbow Dash saw Big Mac , the heavy weapon specialist, standing near the operating table in a red shirt and jeans.

"Zecora can you heal me?" She asked.

"Hello my injured friend, I'll get the brew so you can mend." Zecora said, before walking off. She grabbed a black backpack with a ray gun at the end. She walked up to Rainbow Dash, pulled the lever at the the top of the gun, and the ray gun produced a red beam that was healing Dash.

When Dash was all healed up she went to the cafeteria to wind down. She found an orange earth pony with yellow pony tail, one eye in a red long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans eating dinner.

"Hey Applejack." Rainbow Dash said, getting a water bottle from the fridge.

"Hey Dash. How was the mission?" Apple Jack asked, before biting down on her dinner.

"Well, I got shot from a sentry gun."

"Which level?"

"Two." Dash said before taking a huge drink of water.

Meanwhile, at the shooting range, a yellow pegasus with pink hair was looking down the scope on her rifle. A red shirt, black pants, pink vest, pink glasses and a machete in its scabbard was her gear. She was finishing her rounds when a mare became visible. The mare was a white unicorn with blue, a red scarf around her head, in a red coat that a another red shirt underneath, black pants, smoking a cigarette, and holding a dagger in her magic. She contuned to creep in place until the white bunny saw her and informed the pegasus of her position. She turned with the knife to the mare that was about to kill her and put it near her throat. "Your 'dead' Rarity." The pegasus said in a quiet whisper while putting her machete. "Thanks for the practice."

"You're welcome darling, but the only reason why you 'survived' is because of Angel." Rarity explained.

Angel gave Rarity a death glare and went back into Flutershy’s hair.

"He is just doing his job to protect me." Fluttershy said.

Rarity rolled her eyes before looking at the clock.

"Do you think Dash is back?" she asked.

"Maybe, let's go check " Flutershy asked. The two walked to the main room to see Spike breathing fire on a stack of wood and Zecora and Big Mac playing chess. She also saw Twilight reading a book, Apple Jack drinking a bottle of beer, and Rainbow Dash was punching a punching bag.

"So, how was the mission?" Rarity asked.

"I didn't win." She said bluntly. "Don't rub it in, or I am going to break your nose so hard, that the bones in your nose will turn into dust and will never be healed no matter how good Zecora is good at healing wounds."

"I wasn't going to mock you about your book, darling." Rarity said defensively.

"Sorry Rares." Dash apologized. "You mock me every time that I fail a mission. So why aren't you mocking me now?"

"This is a personal mission, not a mission you made your self to help our team."

"I can help you get your book back." Fluttershy said.

"Thanks for offering Shy, but i might not need your help. That doesn't mean that you can help me." Rainbow Dash said. Then the speaker came on and got everyone's attention.

"Attention Mercenaries the day is-" A female voice said before it stopped out of no were.

"5-4-3" Everyone in the room counted in in unison. "2-1" When they finished there was a scream of pain boomed through the intercom.

"Sorry but I was about to say that you are done for the day you can go back to your homes. And tomorrow go to Steel and defend the area. That is all."

“Hey guys, when you kill BLU Dash can you see if she has a book on her and if she does can you bring it to me?” Dash asked everyone. Everyone said ok and they all packed up and went home.

The Next day at Steel

Rainbow Dash, with a scatter gun in her hooves, was dodging bullets from BLU Big Mac with a minigun. Then all of a sudden, RED Rarity became visible and gave Rainbow Dash a book. Dash looked down and grinned at the sight. This was the book she tried to get last night.

“I have a plan to kill that oaf.” Rarity said obviously talking about Big Mac.

Rainbow Dash tucked in side of her shirt and leaned in so Rarity can talk about the plan. When it was over Dash nodded and pretended to be captured and Rarity put a paper mask on. Big Mac saw that his Rarity that had Dash captured signalling him to come over.

“Hey Rarity.” BLU Big Mac said. “So is she for me?”

“Yes darling.” Rarity BLU said with a grin. Just then Rarity shot him to reveal her true alliance. But before he could call out to warn his teammates Rainbow Dash hit him and quickly grabbed her shatter gun and shot him to death.
