A hoof reached out from under some blankets, beating the alarm clock mercilessly. The owner of said hoof groaned and mumbled in response to the constant noise. A face popped up from the covers, groaning even more that it had to get up. A blue stallion threw the blanket off and slowly, groggily got up from bed. Noteworthy spinned around on a dime, humming a happy tune as he went to the other side of the room, opening a closet and sifting through the numerous collections of apparel. He breathed in the outside air, his happiness growing even further. He closed the door and sat down at the table, which was right next to the kitchen, being an adjacent room.

Noteworthy shook his head, sighing in disappointment. He had always known that Mayor Mare had things going on in the background. His neighbor slowly lowered his hoof, surprise apparent on his face. He walked back into his house, obviously afraid for his life. His neighbor wasn't exactly the smartest individual in the crowd, that much was obvious. Noteworthy shrugged, his happiness even greater than before. He kept on walking, feeling like crying out with joy to the world. He'd probably be frowned at, so he didn't do that. But he felt like it, so yeah.
He rounded a corner, heading towards the center of this beautiful town known only as Ponyville. Damn, if he didn't stop being so hapy, he'd sprout a boner right then and there. He decided not to question the mare, because nopony did. It wasn't the smartest thing to do. The pink mare said, her loud voice ringing through the entire shop, "Hiay, Noteworthy! What can I do ya' for?!"
Noteworthy leaned against the counter, grinning, "Oh, it's so good to see you Pinkie! I'll have myself an ice cream cake. With extra frosting! Oh, and make it mint chip. Please?"

Noteworthy backed off a bit, confused all to hell, "Well, that's great, Pinkie! Uhm... what kind of surprise would that be?"
