Cutie Mark Crusaders: COPYCATS!
It was a typical autumn day while Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were ever so slowly limping toward their tree house, all devastated due to the inevitable failure of their previous attempt to get their cutie marks. They were each sore, sticky and tired as they trudged the walk of shame with their heads hung low in disappointment. The CMC's crusades ended with them being coated with tree sap more often than any of them would like to admit.
''Uggh, I told you that I couldn't climb trees Scootaloo!''
Sweetie Belle groaned as she tried to wipe the tree sap from her eyes.
''Hey, it's not my fault! If Applebloom had chosen another tree, we'd all have our cutie marks by now!''
Scootaloo huffed while pointing a hoof at her yellow earth pony friend.
''But Scootaloo, y'all told me to pick that tree!''
Snapped Applebloom. The three of them had gotten themselves into a rather heated argument by the time that they had reached their club house.
Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom were tired, sticky and very annoyed at each other as they approached the old Apple family barn. Each of them wore an animated ice cold glare as they entered their homemade clubhouse.
Sweetie Belle slammed the door behind them so hard that the whole treehouse shook and one of the apples on the tree outside snapped off of it's branch, hitting the ground with a squelch.
Scootaloo sat in the middle of the treehouse with her fore-arms folded across her chest, her face had been molded into an annoyed frown of disapproval.
Although Applebloom was mad at her friends, she knew that there was no way that she could stay mad at them for long, so she decided to be the better pony and say something productive and positive.
''Ah don't know 'bout y'all, but Ah'm gonna go have a bath, sorry 'bout picking that tree Scoots.''
Applebloom apologized, then went to have her bath.
'' I'm sorry too. For falling. And taking you two with me. I'm just gonna have a bath.''
Sweetie Belle awkwardly apologized then ran off into the barn.
''Hey wait up!''
Scootaloo called as she rapidly dashed after her friend Sweetie Belle, following her into the large building.
The bathroom in Sweet Apple Acres was not like the rest of the building because Granny Smith liked to keep the house looking as simple and country as possible. However Applejack was able to make a compromise with her: the building and rooms were country but the bathroom was stylish.
Applejack used the compromise to her advantage by making the Sweet Apple Acres bathroom look out of place in an old wooden barn. The walls were red and green tile with an abstract apple-shaped blob in the middle of it all. The shower was a modern, black, powerful model with brazen jets ready to squirt whenever a pony needed them. Other than a matching sink and a rustic antique cabinet, the room was pretty bare.
Scootaloo galloped in to see Applebloom and Sweetie Belle relaxing in the large, red bathtub.
''I'm sorry for making you pick that tree Applebloom, I really thought it would be easy.''
Scootaloo also apologized before causing a large splash as she jumped into the bathtub.
"Hey! What was that for?!"
Sweetie Belle complained as she wiped the soap from her eyes.
"Sorry!"
Quickly responded Scootaloo. The three fillies carefully scrubbed at their irritatingly sticky manes, painfully aching legs and dreadfully sore bodies for approximately 30 minuets before having finally removed the last of the wretched tree sap.
Now that the fillies had finished their bath, they were all sat in an uneven circle around the pretty pastel wooden table in the CMC's clubhouse, each pondering over what crusade they should attempt next.
"Ah've run outta ideas..."
Sighs Applebloom as she moves her hoof round in a circle on top of the table out of boredom.
"Me too!"
Was Scootaloo's response to Applebloom's previous statement. They sat their in silence until all of a sudden,
"I've got it!"
Sweetie Belle exclaimed, her eyes lighting up like polished emeralds.
"Basically, some ponies have cutie marks for having the same skills as others; like how Rose and Lilly both have flower related cutie marks. My idea is that we try copying the ponies we already know and then find out if our talents are matched with other ponies!"
"Ah'm in!"
Applebloom says delightedly, anticipating the arrival of the upcoming crusade.
"Me too!"
Scootaloo follows quickly after her red-headed friend had finished her sentence. The three ponies happily grinned at eachother while waiting for Sweetie Belle to say something.
"Great! The only thing left to do is decide who we want to copy!"
Sweetie Bells smiles as she says this, glad to have finally been the pony that came up with the idea. She had to admit, it was a pretty excellent idea, if she didn't say so herself.
The three of them had each simultaneously decided who they wanted to copy after around a minute of thinking.
"I'm gonna copy Twilight, it would look really, really, really pretty to have a magic cutie mark!"
Sweetie Belle announces proudly.
"I'm gonna copy Fluttershy, how cool would it be to have a bear or a dragon for a cutie mark?!?"
Beams Scootaloo.
"In that case Ah'll take Pinkie Pie, it would be nice for my cutie mark to be something that I actually enjoy!"
Replies Applebloom confidently.
"Ok then, let's go!"
Scootaloo dashed out of the clubhouse as soon as she finishes her sentence. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom follow her shortly after the cloud of dust Scootaloo left behind cleared. The CMC ran off into the sunlight, eagerly awaiting the start of their upcoming adventure...
