A Tale of Ponies And Humans : An Experience for the History Books

"Beep,  Beep"  "Beep, Beep"  What was that?  Beep, Beep"  The beeps were getting louder.

I opened my eyes and saw what was not my bed... ' Hmm white sheets, anatomy charts, heart rate meters... oh'  I put it all together and figured out I was in the hospital.  I looked at one of my charts,

Patient Name : Leonardo Brown

Height: 6'2

Age : 22

That was me alright.  I continued down the chart, but what I saw made my heart stop...

Reason : Fractured spinal column below neck

I read that over, and over... and over.  I decided to look up what meant, so I decided to grab my phone which was mysteriously there...  Only to find that I couldn't?  'What?'  I thought.  Then it hit me... I was quadriplegic... I knew very little about it and knew If it was fractured to badly you would be paralyzed, but luckily a doctor walked in.

"Good morning Leo, I see you might be confused why you are here, you are here because you fractured your spinal column just below your neck, but luckily for you it was not too bad."  "Though you are very lucky, some people fracture it so badly they are paralyzed from their neck down for the rest of their life, you however  will only have to wait until your spinal column repairs itself, which will take about... 3 weeks"  He said.  I sighed in relief, for a moment there I thought I would never walk again, thank god...

"But how will I eat?  How will I use the bathroom?"  I asked

"Well, As far as bathroom goes we've already installed a catheter, and a built in toilet, and as far as eating, nurses will come in and feed you, judging how you can talk, I am sure you can chew and swallow."  He said.  "Now I have to go and treat other patients, your family sent you a get well package, would you like to open it for you?"  He asked.

"Sure that'd be great." I replied.  He opened the box and inside revealed an assortment of movie disks as well as a voice activated tablet.   "Would you like me to put a movie in for you?" He asked.

"Ya, can you put in the mystery one"  When I was referring to the 'mystery  one' I was referring to the one without writing.  He put it in and commercials started to play.

"What caring family you have to send you all these things" He said  "Yeah, they're awesome, and thanks!" I said as he walked out the door.

Well, it turns out the 'mystery disk' was My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, which was a show I had recently come to love.  I watched it all day until it was time for bed.  Just as the last episode finished  The TV turned off on its own and so did the lights, I just shrugged (MENTALLY)and went to bed, falling into a deep slumber.

DREAM

I was sitting in a chair in a dark room, but I found I could move now, odd...  then I heard a voice

"Hello" said an echoing voice "I have come to ask you something, something that may change your life forever..."  It said

"Y-yeah?" I asked

"Would you like to come to a new world?"

"I can't, I mean I would but I won't leave my family."  I said

"Who said they weren't coming..." It said.  Then everything went black...
