It's been a full 2 years since the Kong family had defeated the wretched King K. Rool, and banished him to the emptiness of the open ocean. Little did they know, however, that the self-proclaimed king's exile would serve as a catalyst for the undoing of their, and another, world. With the aid of a mysterious ally, King K. Rool may be able to not only take control of Kong Island, but perhaps, the land of Equestria as well.
