It was a wonderful day in Ponyville, all were cheerful because a new foal had just been born. A proud mother and father were happy to see their new foal was a mare, her name was dream catcher. She had a cute dark blue and gold mane, a coat of bluish gray, big sapphire eyes, and two wings.
The happy couple had taken there little mare home after a few days in the Ponyville hospital. Their house was over by The Carousel Boutique. Before the birth, Annie and Frank (mom and dad) had went all out on the foal’s room. Sure they were going to repaint the room to match the colors Dream had on her but they could do that later.
They set the foal down in the most elegant crib in Ponyville. Of course they had the one and only rarity make it for them and they absolutely loved it. Once the little one was in bed they talked till midnight then headed off to bed. “Frank listen.” Annie said walking up her tired husband “do you hear it?” Frank looked at his wife then listened, he knew why she was worried, it was already 3:30 a.m. and not once have they heard the foul cry.
They rushed into the room Frank bucking the door open. Only to find that Dream was fine but wide awake, she had been awake the whole night with not one peep out of little mouth. At the door and in the dark they could not see much, but up close they could see her holding a little star in her hooves. The only thing they could think of is that Luna “Princess of the Night” had given the star to Dream Catcher. So the next day they went to Canterlot to see any one of the princesses.
When they arrived they went straight to the castle. They were stoped by a few gaurds on the way to the throne room but they managed to get passed them just by showing them the star they had taken away from Dream Catcher. Finally at the throne room they meet Princess Celestia, and Luna. The two bow and turn to Luna who the whole time is looking Dream Catcher and after two minutes she final looks at the parents. Frank rustles through his bag worried that he forgot the star gives a sigh and takes out the star.
a chat with the princesses
Luna was happy to see the little one she had met last night, but surprised to the star. “I and Annie would like to know why we found this star in our daughter’s hooves, and why it came to her in the first place!” Frank shouted at the princesses. Annie looked over at Frank with surprised eyes “sweet heart please don’t yell at the princess!” she said with a worried look. Princess Luna had stood up and walked over to the little one. Frank and Annie now staring at Luna, Annie gave Princess Luna the star then backed away. Luna said to the two “I sent this star out because I felt a shift in the star system, and when I fully analyzed it I realized that a star had been missing.” She walk over to her throne and sat back down then continued “you see I have come to believe if I sent this star out it would retrieve the other. I planned that the pony who got it would come to the looking for the lunar princess, but I did not expect the star to be a child.” “So what are you saying?” said Annie “I’m saying that your daughter is the star that came out of the sky.” “I will have to take her in, and give her a room in the palace.”
The couple looked at each other and knew they could not argue with the princess, Frank walked over to Princess Luna and handed over his little girl. They didn’t want to say anything they just left. On the train back home Annie was tearing up and hopping that no one would notice. Once final home the doors were locked and the blinds were closed after Annie ran up to her room and slammed the door then started crying. Frank was not sad but depressed that their little girl was gone out of his reach. But also kind of proud that his daughter was now living with the princess. When he was done thinking over the days event he went upstairs to go to bed on the way he saw the door to Dream Catchers room was still open so he locked it shut he went to his room he noticed that Annie was asleep so he laid next to her and fell into a deep sleep. “your daughter is the star that came from the sky” Luna’s words buzzed in his head.
