Wait

Previous Chapter

How about nothing? Not very productive but this filly hasn't given you anything to go on. You stand perfectly still.

This elicits a confusion from the filly as she looks about awkwardly before letting out a sigh, "Fine, I have things to do, I'll be back later." She walks up the stairs herself while you continue to do nothing. You could follow her at this point.

Otherwise, you continue to wait. It's actually quite easy as everything around you loses color, time becomes a non-issue and before you know it color fades back in and the filly has returned with a friend. Her bright orange coat sticks out in the dusty basement, she's wearing a green jacket that has many pockets along with a matching flat cap on her blue and silver striped mane. The pegasus filly approaches you with a big smile, "Wow, this thing is neat!" She exclaims, clearly very excited.

"It isn't moving." The gray filly states. "So I'm going to have you drop it in the Everfree Forest until we reach an understanding."

"Bwuh?" The pegasus reacts with concern and confusion.

"Just do it." The earth filly scowls.

The pegasus puts away her concerns and leaps atop you. Metal hooks find their way into your automaton body and with impressive force you are lifted off the ground and up the stairs. The pegasus tries to stop at the door but you swing forward and smash it down, the old wood crumbles to reveal the main room of an abandoned shack. She gasps in horror, no longer moving as she awaits a reaction from the other filly who walks past with a grunt of annoyance, "Just move, this place is meaningless now."

"Got it!" The pegasus moves once again, now out an open window. As you go higher you get a view of a town in the distance and below you, the gray filly leads the way through a sparse forest. She comes upon a train track and the pegasus calls out from above, "Brash, there's a train!"

Brash looks up to the pegasus to make a remark, but with her attention away from her hooves she slips on the track. With the worst of luck, she finds that her fall jammed a forehoof under the rail. She struggles to remove it as the train sounds its horn. "Ugh, fantastic!" She yells, sounding more frustrated than scared.

The pegasus has no trouble removing her lifting hooks from your frame and you plummet to the ground. A cloud of dirt lifts in the air as you land, "I've got you!" The pegasus yelps as you watch her descend to Brash. The sound of the train's brakes fill the air, its bright light engulfs the two, then in an instant, they are gone and the train comes to a halt far too late.

Your vision goes black. After a moment a familiar noise comes to you.

Like nothing happened.
