Day Number 1

A young foal awoke from his unrestful slumber to the sound of the

city. His entire body sore, streching his wings, he felt around

for his surroundings. "Were am I, Mom, dad?" He called out,

feeling around this small world. He placed his hoove on the top

of whatever he was in, with a small nudge a thin ray of light

filled his empty field of view. The bright light made him squint,

he was not adjusted to the bright enviorment yet. Once again he

called out for his parents "Mommy, Daddy? Were are you?" Lifting

the top of the container fully, his eyes lit up with the busy

streets of Canterlot. He looked around, frightened of the bustle

that flew past him. Street vendors and news ponys called out for

the peoples attention, food-stands sold carrots, cider, and every

other street side delicacy. Now he was in full panick mode, he

tumbled out of the box, wing flapping vigorously, even though

he'd never flew before, he frantically scanned the street for his

parents. Now yelling in his high pitched voice, he called out in

terror "MOMMY, WHERE ARE YOU?" He stumbled to the street, his

eyes twisting and searching for just the smallest sign of home.

He caught glimpse of the box he was in, a dirty old cardcoard

box, written on the side was his mothers handwritting, "To a good

home," It read. His heart raced, it raced faster than any

wonderbolt ever could. "HELLO, DADDY, WHERE ARE YOU?" He began

crying, his tears falling to the cobblestone street below him. A

low flying pegesus caught him in the stomach with her hoof, "Hey!

Watch it kid!" She angrily yelled, not even stopping for the now

petrified foal. He caught sight of an alley, taking his first

steps, he ran towards the safety of the narrow passage. Darting

in between low flying pagasai, he managed his way through the

croud and into the shadowy confinement of the alley. "Mommy..."

Tears rippled from his red face, his crys echoed from the walls.

He felt a rattling from his neck, looking down, a chain was

dangling. He lifted it with his hoof, turning the plate attached

around to read the description. "Viv.." His lips let out. A word

he had never heard before. A word that reminded him of home.

"Where am I..." He let out, crying into his hooves, alone in the

dark alley.
