Luna growled threateningly at the computer screen. “How DARE you fiend ‘Chocolate_Cloud’ kill me! ...For the fifteenth time in a row!” Some very foolish player had utterly annihilated her characters the very second they stepped out of the starting zone. And she was quite ready to track them down and utterly destroy them... but she would do so in game.
“Haha!” She cried as she logged into her highest level character, a warlock who favored shadow magic. “Now you shall die!”
She found the offender located near the starting zone. “What? He is only level sixty! This shall be no challenge at all!”
With one bolt of shadow, her mortal enemy was destroyed.

“What! How-what?!” Discord shouted as his sniper was killed by an untimely shadowbolt. “I didn’t know that pony had an alt! I thought they were just some newb! Very well, they have challenged the lord of chaos, and now they will die! ...At the hands of my mage!”
He logged out of his hunter and click on his mage. “Accursed loading screen! Go faster!”
He found his character was in the middle of a major city. “Great, now I have to fly all the way there.”

Luna was angered by this fool. He (or she) had just challenged her to a duel! Not only that, but he was a level lower than her. “Does thou think that you can actually win? Never, I repeat, never!”
Five minutes later, she found herself being resurrected by her friend’s cleric.

“Take that ‘Eclipse’!”
“Um, Discord what are you yelling about?” Fluttershy’s voice came wafting through the door.
“Nothing. Just playing video games!” He shouted back
“Er, okay…”
“And crushing my mortal enemies…” He muttered under his breath.

Luna raced to her sister’s tower. “Sister, sister!” She threw open the door with an air of urgency. “This is important!”
Celestia turned her. “What is it Luna? Is there an issue?”
“Yes sister, one of horrible consequences if we do not stop it!”
Celestia gasped. “Has a threat befallen Equestria?”
“No… somepony has been killing me in video games! Quickly, log on as your healer! We must show them they cannot beat us!”
Celestia sighed. “Very well.”

Discord flew through Ponyville, with a single destination in mind: Sugarcube Corner. He kicked open the door. “Pinkie Pie! Glad to see you. Get your laptop! I need your help destroying ‘Eclipse’ and ‘Solar_Flare’!”
Pinkie Pie saluted. “Yes sir!” She appeared moments later with her laptop in hooves and a tray of cupcakes balance on her head. “In case we get hungry. This may take a while.”

“Heal me sister!”
“Already on it!” Celestia slammed the keyboard, spamming her best heal at rapid speed.
“Back at full!” Luna shouted from the other side of the room.
Celestia realized with horror that the one called ‘Cupcake’ was attacking her. “Ahhh! Healhealhealhealheal!”
“Celestia! I’m at half! The mage is three-quarters down!”
“Get the shaman pony! She’s destroying me!”
“Mage is down! Die, shaman, die!”

“Well THAT didn’t work.”
Pinkie sighed. “We failed epically.”
Discord slammed his talon down. “But shall we give up? No! We are too stupid to give up!”
Pinkie Pie cheered. “Yah! We’ll never give up, not until the end of time, and maybe even past that! Cupcake?”
He accepted one with bright blue frosting. “Say, does Twilight play this game?”
Pinkie deflated “No…” Then her eyes got wide and she jumped upward. “But Spike does!”

Spike stared at the two chaotic energy balls on caffeine in front of him. “Um, sure, I’ll help.”
Pinkie squeezed him. “Thanks Spike, you’re the bestest! Any way, do you have a tank?”
His eyes sparkled. “Spiny the paladin, coming online!”

“Luna! They have a tank!” Celestia cried.
Luna stared in horror at the screen. “I think we will need to take drastic measures. Call in the guards with accounts. We must defend our online honor!”
Five guards reported for duty. “Princesses, if I may ask, what have you called us here for?”
Luna cleared her throat. “A band of ruffians consisting of a mage, shaman, and paladin, all max level, have challenged us, and we have been battling for over two hours. We shall end this now, and we need your help. Log onto your accounts, and destroy our enemies."
The guards smiled. This was the best assignment they have gotten in ages.

The group's face fell and whitened as they saw the incoming forces.
“We are so dead.” Spike said, eyes fixed on the screen.
Discord nodded. “Yes, basically. But we're still going to try. Pinkie, you take Solar, I'll get Eclipse, and Spike, hold everyone else off.”
“I'll do my best.” Said Spike.
“Got all your buffs up?”
“Yes.”
“Yep!”
“Then charge!”

The opposition made a valiant effort, taking down both Celestia, Luna, and two of the guards. But they had won. They two battling foes had agreed to a cease fire, as neither of them want to spend the rest of their video gaming lives simply fighting one another. Now, the only question was who would dare to challenge the two royal sister in such a way?

“I wonder who those guys were.” Spike pondered aloud.
Pinkie shrugged. “Who cares? We don’t need to know. Even though it would be cool to know.”
Something hit Spike upside the head, and he turned to Pinkie, horror in his eyes. “What were their usernames again?”
“Eclipse and Solar Flare- oh.”
“Yah.”
“That’s not good.”
Discord turned from his sulking in the corner. “What is it?”
Pinkie grimaced. “Discord, I think we spent our day battling the royal princesses.”

“WHAT?! You think it was Discord and Pinkie Pie?”
Luna nodded. “Who else could it be? I know for a fact Discord plays the game. Why not Pinkie?”
Celestia sighed. “I’m not sure whether to start laughing or send them a letter demanding explanation.”
“Perhaps both sister, perhaps both.”
