"Damn it Rare, I love ya and all, but you're just not as tough as me Sugar Cube. It's a known fact. Just drop it already." A tanned blonde farmer girl huffed in frustration. She removed her stetson from atop her head and twirled it around her fingers. They had been going on about this for two days, and Applejack had had enough.
Unfortunately for Applejack, Rarity had not. In fact it seemed that Rarity was ready to kick it up a notch, if the determined glint in her eye was anything to go on. Applejack loved her girlfriend of three years with every fiber of her being, but dear celestia the girl could be frustrating when she wanted to be. This had all started two days ago, when a casual comment (some would say careless and tactless) from AJ had set Rarity into a heated frenzy. While it was true that the fashionista had proven on multiple occasions that she could hold her own in a fight, Applejack simply didn't believe that the posh girl could do half the things she could. She had said as much, and from then on, it'd been constant arguing over it.
"Oh really Applejack? Then how about we prove it? If you're so tough, then you wouldn't say no to a contest between the two of us would you?" The seamstress asked, a sly look in her eye that went completely unnoticed by the farmer. "I mean surely, you could beat little old me at anything right? So, how about a wager of oh let's say five hundred bits?"
The farmer shook her head in frustration. She knew Rarity wasn't gonna let this go, and five hundred bits was a good amount of money. 'Buck it, if Rarity wants it, she'll get it.'
"Fine Rare, but if I win, not only do I get the money, but you admit that I'm right, and that you're simply not as tough as me, got it?" She extended a hand, which Rarity took and shook firmly.
"Oh you're on AJ, but just remember, when I win, that I told you so."
