FIREFLY - (self-titled)

Firefly is a 1971 album by herself (b. 1938), and her first released on CBS Records (Columbia Records in the U.S.). Firefly signed with CBS since this is the same label in which her daughter (Rainbow Dash, b. 1958) was signed to at the time. However, she was still legally bound to Fantasy Records, for which she recorded 5 albums and 10 singles, each only reaching the lower end of the Top 30. Due to such a bound, the president of Fantasy contacted the Columbia president Clive Davis, who was told to place a Fantasy logo on the CBS label blanks and album covers for her next 15 albums; he complied, and this practice applied until she left CBS in 1982 to form Rainbow Records with her daughter.

The album became a success, both critical and commercial, and made No. 5 on the Billboard LP charts.

APPLE BLOOM - Co-wrote two of the tracks/chapters in this album
BABS SEED - Same as Apple Bloom.
RAINBOW DASH - Label-mate and daughter; wrote song "Love (It's The Way)."
OCTAVIA MELODY - Producer and arranger of recordings
