Luna slowly hauled the last of the chariot onto the dock. When the job was complete, Celestia walked up to her. Celestia ran the lunar prison in which Luna was kept in. Luna had been her prisoner for 12 years.
“24601! Come this instant!” Celestia called in her loudest voice. Slowly, the tired prisoner walked forth until she was standing right in front of Celestia.
“Yes?” Luna asked, looking down at her feet.
“ The time has come for you to leave, after 12 years of imprisonment for stealing bread, you are now fr-”
“I was only taking the bread to feed my mother! These 12 years for that?!” Suddenly Luna looked stronger, more powerful.
“5 years for what you did, the rest because you tried to run, 24601! Don’t dare look me in the eye! The paper I have for you, you must keep it if you want a chance, you’ll die if this ends up in the trash! 2! 4! 6! 0! 1!”
“My name is Luna! Never forget my name! NEVER FORGET MY NAME, CELESTIA! I WILL RETURN AND SOMEDAY YOU’RE WAYS WILL CHANGE!!!!!!!!” luna said as she snatched the paper and walked out the prison.
Luna could not find any place to stay with the paper she had been burdened with. After searching and searching, Luna came upon a church. When she knocked on the door, she was greeted by a saint by the name of Saint Fluttershy.
“ Come in my sister, eat, rest, you are safe now.” Fluttershy said kindly. Luna was fed and sent to bed. In the darkest hour of night, Luna awoke, stole all of the church’s silver, and fled like a rat in a cellar. Soon, Celestia’s royal guards caught Luna and sent her back to the church.
“saint Fluttershy! This pony has stolen your silver! She claims you gave it to her!” one of the guards said. Fluttershy walked to Luna and helped her up.
“ Dear sister, you left so early, You ran beyond our outer walls. You left the best of the evening, now dear guards, my blessing to you all.” Fluttershy handed luna a pair of silver boots and shunned the guards away.
“ This mare calls me her sister. She thinks that I have a soul. One word from her and I’d be dead now, Now the world; it seems so cold. I spent my life in a prison, now I thought that I was free, but still the prison lingers, and trapped I’ll forever be.” Luna sighed as she roamed the empty halls.
“ I stand here now forgotten, the world crumbling at my feet, clothed in rags and sin forever, for this I’ll forever lead. But now I see that I was wrong, and now I’m ready for a change! Mah god stand with me this evening! As my old life! FADES AWAY!!!!!!” Luna shouted as she threw the paper into the fire and watched it burn.
10 years later
Twilight sat at a table with 3 other mares. She was sewing a dress, for it was her job. She needed the money for her adopted daughter, Rarity. Rarity is the only reason Twilight lives, since her brother walked out on her. Little did she know she worked for Luna. Luna’s assistant, Trixie, wasn’t very kind. one day, the factory mares stole one of Twilight’s letters. It read that The ponies who kept Rarity needed more money. Soon Trixie was called upon to handle the matter.
“I should’ve known the bear could bite, I should’ve known the cat had claws, I could’ve guessed your little secret!” trixie said. She pushed Twilight out the door and locked it. Twilight cried out to the mare,“Please! My child! PLEASE!” Twilight gave up and slowly trotted away.
Soon she came upon a dark alley. many rugged ponies were huddled in groups. Each step was more frightening than the last. the place smelled of garbage and waste. The alley was cold and dark, until she could hardly see her own hoof in front of her face! Suddenly she bumped into something… or someone.
“ Pretty pony! You’re mane is quite lovely…” an older mare said. The mare was clothed in rags, her hooves scarred and bruised. “ 10 bits for the lot! 15 if you include the tail!”
“It would pay the debt...alright…” Twilight was rushed off and soon her mane was cut shorter than ever. Soon many ponies were asking her her to sell them her magic for very high prices. After selling many spells, Twilight collapsed onto the floor. She was tired and hungry. She now seemed to blend in with the street ponies.
“I dreamed a dream with no more night, I dreamed a dream where life’s worth living, not a ransom to be paid, no song unsung, no heart ungiving! But the tigers come at night… with their voices soft as thunder...and they’ll tear your dreams apart… until u see the light of day!” Twilight cried into the foggy midnight air. The cold mist swirled around her and soon she fell into an uncertain sleep.
Twilight awoke in front of a mare by the name of trixie. The pony wanted to buy some magic. Twilight had become tired of selling her spells.
“NO! You scoundrel! My magic is not for anyone!” Twilight screamed as she slapped trixie’s face. Trixie turned to Luna, her boss, who bent down to the mare and asked, “ My dear, are you alright?”
All Twilight could say before collapsing once more was, “Rarity…”
Luna looked down at Twilight and said, “I need to take this pony to a hospital, quick!”
Soon, Twilight was in a hospital bed, resting and hopefully healing so she can return to her daughter.
Luna stared at the boots in which was given to her by Saint Fluttershy. She had just received intel that 24601 was found and that she would be sent back to prison. Luna was an honest mare, but her workers…
“They think that mare is me, without a second glance! The stranger they have found, this mare could be my chance! Why should I save her hide? Why should I right this wrong? When I have come so far and struggled for so long?” Luna said as she paced across the floor.
“I am the master of hundreds of workers! They all look to me! Can I abandon them? How will they live if I’m not free? If I speak, they are condemned. If I stay silent, I have sinned.” Luna couldn’t decide what was more important, lives of many workers, or her honesty and an innocent mare.
“Who am l? Can I condemn this mare to slavery? Pretend I do not feel her agony? This innocent who bares my face, and goes to judgement in my place! Who am l? Can I conceal myself forever more? Pretend I’m not the mare I was before? Bare a fake name until I die! I’m nothing more than a thief that lied! Must I lie? How can I face my fellow friends? How can I face myself again? My soul belongs to god, I know. I made that promise long ago. He gave me hope when hope was gone, he gave me strength to journey on! Who am I? I’m luna.” Luna rushed off to the court and burst through the doors.
“... and so your honor, you see it’s true! This mare is as innocent as you! Who am I? Who am I? 24601!!”
Twilight stared off into the distance while laying in the hospital bed. She called out to her daughter, but only was returned to silence. Then, Twilight “saw” Rarity behind the curtains.
“Rarity, it’s past your bedtime... Rarity, it’s turned so cold... you’ve played the day away… and soon it will be night…. Come to me, Rarity, the light is fading…don’t you see... the evening star is shining… Come to me, and rest against my shoulder… how fast the minutes fly away and every minute colder…” Soon Luna walked in and sat beside Twilight, who’s eyes were getting paler.
“Twilight, Rarity will be here soon. Twilight, she will be by your side.” Luna tried to sooth her, but to no avail.
“Rarity?! Where did you go?!” Twilight screamed. Luna shushed Twilight and whispered to her, “ Be at peace, be at peace…”
“My Rarity…”
“I’ll give her my protection.”
“ Take her now…”
“She will be loved and cared for.”
“dearest mare… you come… from god… in heaven…
Tell Rarity… I love her… and i’ll see…. her when… i… wake.” Twilight fell dead in luna’s arms. Suddenly, Luna heard hoofsteps.
“24601! The time has come for you to die!” Celestia called from the other side of the room. Her eyes stared intently upon Luna, but Luna could not stand to look back.
“Please, Celestia, let me save this mare’s daughter! 3 days and I will return to the prison!” Luna pleaded.
“No! You will not escape me again!” Celestia drew her iron sword, slightly rugged from many battles. Using her quick wit and swift hooves, luna grabbed a loose floorboard and deflected the sword right before it struck her heart. She swung the board once more, knocking Celestia back. Celestia struck back, sending Luna to the balcony. She escaped, leaving Celestia alone in the quiet hospital.
Rarity quietly swept the floors of the inn. her tangled violet mane was swaying almost gracefully as she started to dance with her rag doll. Her eyes were glinting with joy as her imagination took her to a magical place.
“There is a castle on a cloud, I like to go there in my dreams. There are no floors for me to sweep! Not in my castle on a-”
“Snarity! Come fetch some water from the well!” Pinkie called. The pink pony’s hair was muddled with streamers and her apron smeared with cake. Cheese Sandwich, Pinkie’s partner and husband, looked the same way. They had both fallen asleep on the floor after last night’s party. “Go on!”
Rarity ran out the back door as ponies came rushing in for another party. Many songs and cakes later, the party was over,and a mare by the name of Mistress luna had brought in Rarity, and asked to take her.
“Rarity’s mother is in heaven now, before she died, she asked me to care for Rarity.” Luna said sternly.
“well… you see madam, it would be very hard to part with Snarity-”
“Rarity is her name, and I don’t think it will be too hard to leave her. 1500 bits.” Luna said. Cheese Sandwich walked up.
“That would be a fine amount, if she hadn’t been so ill, and medicine costs so much…” He said.
Luna sighed and said, “ Fine. 2000 bits for your… sacrifice.” After many whispers, The two agreed and took the money.
“oh rarity… We are going to have so many adventures together!”
8 years later
Celestia sat on her balcony and watched the stars twinkling. The crisp night air calmed her nerves slightly, but she couldn’t stop thinking about 24601 and why she wanted to be with that woman…
The streets were flooding with people as a young filly named scootaloo led her possy of friends to a wealthy chariot. She was dressed in rags and her mane was messy. She was shorter than most, but her spirit was strong.
“ C'mon girls!” she called to her gang then she turned to the wealthy pony by the name of fancy pants and said, “ How do ya do? Name’s Scootaloo, These’re meh people here’s meh point. Me, I ain’t got anythin’ posh, like the richmen in their joints!” She flapped her wings in the richmen’s face.
“ Not long ago, we took down our king, he tried to change our world too fast. Now, we have another king, he’s no betta than the last! This is the land that fought for liberty! Now when we fight, we fight for bread! Here is the thing about equality: everyone’s equal when they’re dead! Take your place! Take your chance! TAKE YOUR CHANCE!” Scootaloo called out to the people on the streets. Everyone was shouting and cheering for the small pegasus and her friends. She was part of a revolution army. Then, a dragon by the name of Spike, who was also in the revolution, walked forth.
“ When’s this gonna end? When’s it gonna stop? We will fight! We will stay! We will shoot! We will play! We will start! We will end! We will kill! WE WILL WIN!!!” The ponies went wild and started to beat up the chariot. As they went on, Spike noticed a beautiful mare with her mother on the sidewalk. Spike’s friend, Applejack, walked up behind him. her outfit was rags sewn together, and an old cowboy hat sat on her head. She wasn’t as pretty as rarity, but twice as kind and compassionate.
“Who is that beautiful mare?” he asked.
“Her name’s Rarity. We were childhood friends.” Applejack replied. Her heart suddenly grew heavy. Spike was in love with her. Applejack could easily tell, for she felt the same way about Spike.
“ I must meet her!” he said. He walked towards her, but she was gone. “rarity…” Applejack could tell he was heart broken.
“I-I could take you to her,” Applejack said. Spike turned to her, his eyes suddenly filled with hope.
“You can?! Please take me to her! Please!”Spike pleaded. Applejack agreed.
Spike walked into the revolution’s hide-out. The other ponies were waiting for him, including applebloom, sweetiebelle, and the leader, scootaloo. they all were dressed in rugged armor. Spike grabbed his gun and sat with the others. He stared out the window and played with his glass.
“what’s with yea taday spike? yea look as though yea’ve seen a ghost!” Scootaloo asked. Spike turned to her.
“A ghost you say? A ghost maybe.. She was just like a ghost to me… one minute there then she was gone!” Spike said dreamily.
“Hahaha! Spike’s finally found love! he’s starting to act like Princess Cadence!” Sweetiebelle remarked mockingly. Spike ignored her. he only finished his drink and walked to the balcony.
“She was the most beautiful mare I have ever seen…”
“C’mon Spike! Where’s yea head tanight? What happened to tha brave dragon we all knew?” Scootaloo asked, “Don’t forget the colors we fight for!” Suddenly, all the ponies began to sing.
“ Red! The blood of angry mares! Black! The scars of battles past! Red! A world about to dawn! Black! The night that ends at last!” They all sang, but Spike had hardly heard them. Applebloom suddenly shouted out to spike, and he answered her.
“Red!”
“I feel my soul on fire!”
“Black!”
“My world if she’s not there!” Soon the other ponies joined in.
“Red!!!”
“The color of desire!”
“Black!!!”
“The color of despair!”
That night, Applejack and Spike went to Luna and Rarity’s house. Rarity was by the gate, reading one of her many books. Suddenly, she noticed spike at the gate.
“Hello? Who are you? Why are you here?” Rarity asked unsurely. Her mane was pulled back into a tidy bun, decorated with flowers. Her gown was white and clean, just like her fur.
“My name is Spike, I saw you in the market, during the riot this morning.” Spike said. He looked into her eyes. His heart began to beat uncontrollably.
“Oh! I remember you! My mother rushed me before I could say hello. My name is Rarity. What is your name?”
“Spike, Miss Rarity. You… you look so beautiful in the moonlight… I… um…” He stopped. He could see it in Rarity’s eyes. She felt the same passion in which Spike felt.
“Our song of love, our hearts full of love, I’ve done everything all wrong! God, for shame! I just now learned your name! Dear mademoiselle, won’t you say, will you-”
“A heart full of love! No fear! No regret!”
“You are beautiful to me!”
“thank you, dear sir!”
“Rarity, I don’t know what to say!”
“Then make no sound…” the air swirled around them as the passion grew stronger and stronger. Their love was undeniable! They looked into each others eyes, the love song playing in harmony in their hearts.
“I’m in love, I’m in-”
“A heart full of love, a heart full of song! Dear Rarity, our love is strong! I'll never again feel this way! Not without you!"
"I will be with you everyday, in your arms!"
"A Heart... full...of love!" they finished their duet, hoof in claw, their hearts full of love.
Applejack looked at spike. he seemed so happy with Rarity, she could never take that away from him. She walked alone to her home in sweet apple acres. Suddenly, it started to rain. Applejack closed her eyes and began to sing.
"On my own, pretendin he's beside me... All alone, I walk with him til mornin... without him, I feel his arms around me, and when I'm in distress, I close my eyes, and he has saved me. In his smile, I see the hidden torture, as we meet, in the apple orchard, and sometimes, I wonder if she's treatin him right. But all I see is him and me forever and for always!" Applejack sang as she walked down the dirt road which led to her farm. The rain was coming down hard.
"I love him, but when our time is over! he is gone! I'm in an empty orchard! Without him, the world around me changes! The trees are bare and everywhere the fields are full of parasprites!" applejack climbed to the top tower on her barn and looked out on the orchard. The wind twisted through her hair as the moonlight shone upon her.
" I love him, but everyday I'm lyin!!! That I'm fine, when inside I'm really dyin!!!!! She has him, so he won’t see me cryin!!! I’m watchin their romantic lives while I sit all ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Her eyes were full of tears as lightning struck across the sky. Applejack grabbed her hat and wiped her tears away. she climbed down from the rooftop and sat on an old stump near the stables.
“I love him… I love him… I love him! But only On My Own!!!”
Pinkie tip toed to the edge of the gate with the others from the inn. Some were carrying torches, others had knives, some even had both. They were going to destroy the house. Applejack saw pinkie’s gang and quickly ran to them.
“It’s all right Applejack. We’ve got enough ponies as is. Head back to the tent.” Pinkie whispered.
“No! This house isn’t worth it! Only a young mare and her mother live here! Just go home!” Applejack pleaded. He knew that if Rarity died, Spike would be heart broken. She had to save them. Pinkie pushed Applejack aside and walked up to the gate. “If you don’t leave, I’m gonna scream!”
“Don’t you dare!” Pinkie ran towards Applejack, but she was too late. Applejack screamed as loud as she could, and surly enough, Luna heard her.
“Celestia.” Luna gathered her things and called to Rarity, “We must leave now! Come Rarity!”
“But Mother!”
“No buts, We need to go!”
“Spikey Wikey!”
“Come on!”
Rarity was rushed away and Spike stood alone. He walked away slowly.
“She’s gone.” was all Spike could say.
Rarity climbed into the train with Luna. They had to flee the city, but Rarity couldn’t stop thinking of Spike. She stared out the window, dreaming of what Spike might be doing. Luna could tell that Rarity missed her home. She felt horrible about keeping secrets from her. Spike also missed Rarity, and Applejack felt alone, even more now since Rarity came there. Pinkie and Cheese were still arrogant and insane, and the barricades were ready to fight. Celestia’s troops were also ready for battle. (I’m color coding this part: Luna Rarity Spike Applejack Pinkie Cheese Celestia Barricades France and if two or more colors are mixed, it means a duet.)
“One day more, another day another destiny. This never ending road to calvary. These mares who seem to know my crime will surely come a second time. One day more.”
“I did not live until today. How can I live when we are parted?”
“One day more.”
“Tomorrow you’ll be worlds away! And yet with you world has started!”
“One more day all on my own.”
“Will we ever meet again?”
“One more day with him not caring.”
“I was born to be with you!”
“And a life I might’ve known.”
“And I swear I will be true!”
“But he never saw me there.”
“One more day before the storm!”
“I follow where she goes!”
“At the barricades of freedom!”

“When our ranks begin to fall!”

“One more day til revolution. We will nip it in the butt. We’ll be ready for these school foals. They will wet themselves with blood.”

“Faster than a changeling so they won’t miss much!”
“One more day to a new beginning! Let the land be torn today! Screams of war will be our cheer! And the dark will light our way! As a new world is beginning! There’s a new war to be won! Do you hear the people sing?”
“My place is here! I’ll fight with you!”

“Will you join these filthy “heroes”? Will you follow where they go?”

“Hidin in the dark.”

“Tomorrow is the judgement day! Tomorrow we’ll be here to find what our God has in store! One more dawn! One more day! ONE DAY MORE!!!”
