//-------------------------------------------------------// Halo: Gala. -by Szalhi- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 "Captains log, April, 2554. Long days. So many long days. I'm not even sure you can say days in space. Well there is no day or night in space. It's just. Nothing." Captain Mason made a log in his Files. Captains were required to make logs every month to record what happened out there. In the case of a tragedy, The files would get locked so only high ranked UNSC personal could access it. "Where to start. We saved a couple of small colonies from the Covenant. Blew up a covenant ship. Helped with the battle of Draetheus V. But nothing really is happening these days. That was all last year" Mason cut off the log and saved it with the other logs. The UNSC Stormbreaker, was one of the few ships that had Spartan IV's stationed it. Not very many spartans, only 50 spartans exist on this ship. The UNSC Infinity stationed countless numbers of Spartan IV's and ODST's transferring to be Spartan's were usually sent there. But 50 Spartans could be enough. Nothing has happened since the battle of Draetheus V. No spartans were lost in that battle. Mason walked out of his room and headed towards the bridge. As job as a captain, he has to oversee everyone and thus is mainly stationed at the bridge. As He walked down the halls, crew saluted as they got on with their daily jobs. He made it to the bridge and took his respective seat and proceeded with his duties. "Lance, How are things going right now?" he asked as a A.I figure appeared in front of him. This was Lance, a Smart A.i. Lance's model replicated the average "Middle ages" knight. With that said, it's been 600 years since that term came into place and it actually  seems to fit better now than. "All systems are operational, Weapons on standby, Vehicles are all good, there's only a short break in the engine room, but that should be back up soon." replied Lance. "Well than things seem to be going good then. Continue work." Mason watched as the Knight disappeared in front of him. He always wondered who picks the A.I's models. The wide range of models are quite interesting to him. "Sir! We have picked up scans that an unknown planet is nearby!" said professor Beale bursting into the room, leaving the door behind her. "Show me Beale. Put it on screen" Professor Beale put what seemed to be a new planet in front of Mason for him to see. This planet had a general size similar to Earth. "Is this really what you picked up?" asked Mason. "Yes, We picked up scans that showed that showed this planet close by. We couldn't pick up any details, but it's roughly the same size as Earth." Mason thought for a while. This planet could be dangerous, it could rip us apart. But how were the first planets colonised? They took risks to visit the planet. After a while, Mason decided that the best thing to do would be to check out the planet. The important thing is that there seems to be no signs of the Covenant nearby. "Lance, Get us closer, we need to see this." "I'm on it sir." The UNSC Stormbreaker started speeding up, making it's way towards the unknown planet to investigate it. Whatever this planet is, they can't assume it's dangerous because it's unknown. Twilight was reading in the castle as Spike came in with a message for her. "Twilight, i got a message here from Princess Celestia." "That's great Spike, I haven't gotten a message in a while, i wonder what it's about." replied Twilight taking the Scroll and reading it. Dear Twilight Sparkle, I am unfortunate to warn you that i'm picking up a sense that something is coming. I don't know where it's coming but if it's against us Ponies, than it's going to be bad. I just wanted to warn you now so you wouldn't get all worked up later if i get more details. ~Princess Cadance "What does it say?" asked Spike curiously. "It says that Princess Cadance is picking up a sense that something is coming here. She doesn't know what it is, but it might be a threat to ponykind and she wanted to warn me earlier if she were to pick up more details." "So what does that mean?" "It means something is coming and we don't know what the heck it is." "A Changeling attack?" "Not very likely, but that is a possibility." "Sir, we're homing on The planet, i advise we don't get too close as something might be there and notice us." "Well just bring us in to your standards." Mason watched as the Planet appeared in front of his eyes. Beale was right, it was the size of Earth. But it looks more Fertile. "This place, it looks so Fertile. What possible creatures could be living down there?" said Professor Beale. "Well it is definitely the size of Earth, but i'm not sure how we are going to do this." "Do what?" asked Professor Beale. "Make contact. We need to know what's down there first. Maybe we could take a look at what's down there." "Yes, but there seems to be some kind of shield blocking a significent block of view that we can't actually view what's down there. Maybe if we went down there, we could get footage." "Well if that's what we have to do, than we're doing it. We just need to know who to send and how to get down their un-noticed."
