Rainbow Dash had never had such a day,a day where the skies were clear,yet her mind wasn't.Rainbow had the day off,yet something hit her hard,memories of things she had always ignored or sugarcoated.Rainbow was staring at the sky,it was so clear that she could fly all day without having to avoid any clouds.But she sat and waited for something good to happen,rainbow waited for 2 days.Rainbow woke up on a morning shrouded by grey clouds,moping and pouring on the town,she had been awaken by a echo of thunder.Rainbow had to get to a shelter,even her own cloud was beginning to grey up.There was nothing she could do so she dashed to Applejack's barn.Rainbow had the noise of thunder ringing in her ears for minutes afterwards.

Rainbow heard rustling in the barn,so she trotted over to a stack of crates,with bails of hay formed into a small mat.Applejack was sound asleep,yet she was rolling around with the sound of the thunder.Rainbow slowly turned and began to walk away."Rainbow,you there?"

Rainbow jerked around to see applejack looking cloudy eyed,and fatigued.Applejack dug into her hay and pulled out a bottle of Apple Whiskey.Apple popped the top off and chugged,she kept drinking without a single stop to breath.She looked at Rainbow and nudged the bottle towards Rainbow.Rainbow grabbed the bottle and took a small sip,and rainbow shivered and twitched.Apple sat up and shakes off the hay."Rainbow,my granny,she died last night,i invited your sorry ass to the funeral,and you didn't bother to show up,"Applejack wailed at rainbow,a single tear rolled down her left eye.

Rainbow felt like screaming her lungs out at Applejack,yet she felt her pain.Rainbow trotted up to Applejack and sat herself down next to her.Applejack looked at her,confused and drunken.Apple leaned her head up against Rainbow,and exhaled loudly,Apple looked into Rainbow's eyes and saw sincerity.She felt like she could trust her.The Barn was being pelted with rain like bullets.Thunder was so loud it made rainbow jump many times.Rainbow looked down at Apple,she was crying,yet she didn't make a noise.Rainbow felt a hoof rub against her mane,Applejack was stroking her mane gently and yet she didn't notice she was doing it.Apple was in love with Rainbow,it was as obvious as it could be.

Apple pushed herself up and kissed Rainbow tenderly,it was quick and soft,yet to rainbow it felt like a year.Then Applejack passed out on Rainbow's lap,she was calm and Rainbow sat and let Apple rest for the night.

Rainbow awoke,Apple was gone,but she left a small note for her.Rainbow quickly opened in anticipation:

Hey Rainbow,meet me in town today.

My Brother knows about last night,

He Doesn't like you.

But i do.~Applejack

As Rainbow left for town,Derpy arrived to deliver Apple's mail.Derpy marched cheerfully up to Apple's house,yet before she could open the mailbox,Big Macintosh yanks her arm and drags her into the house.She yelps in pain and rubs her arm, completely unaware of Big Macintosh standing over her.Big Macintosh swiped his hoof across her face,and watched her cry in pain."I got a big job for you,and you need to do it.You don't have a choice,young lady,"Big Mac said,he tried to sound calm and content,but his voice was full of anger.

The crying was loud,and Derpy looked up at Big Macintosh,she nodded her head and listened to Big Macintosh's instructions.Derpy walked to town,trying to act normal,and yet her bruise stood out in the largest of crouds.Derpy was looking for any sign of Apple and Rainbow.
