Dairy of an EWF wrestler: Summer of Slam
Hey y'all this is Braeburn and well this is my story of my road to the Summer of Slam.
Now y'all are probably wondering how I became or even why I became a pro wrestler?
Well I've always been a fan of 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin and many more.
So when I heard that Equestria was getting it's own wrestling show I went to hard work training with some of the other ponies that where interested in pro wrestling and signed my name down as soon as I could.
After about two weeks I got a letter saying I had been accepted into the advanced training camp which taught us how to safely pull of tables, ladders and other weapons spots as well as promos and other mic work.
That training was brutal as many of us that gotten through had received injuries and some even had to quit but my passion got me through and finally after months of training It was time to put on our first televised show.
I was excited and nervous the arena was electric Princess Celestia had even invited some pro wrestlers to come and start the show including Daniel Bryan and CM Punk.
Celestia even got JBL, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole to do commentary with Princess Luna.
My persona was a heel called Bad News Braeburn every show I would say my catchphrase "I've got some bad news for ya!"
Then I would go on about some hot topic like the time when Ponyville got sick by eating the muffins that Apple Bloom had made.
I would then make remarks about her being bad at making food which played into my rivalry with Big Macintosh or Big M as he was called.
Anyway my first match was a one on one match with Bulk Biceps or Beast Biceps as he was called.
He was a face and his "gimmick" is that he's a powerhouse so he would do a lot of dead lifts, power-bomb's and suplex's
The bell rang and I ran at Biceps only to be hit by a clothesline followed up by an elbow drop and an early pin.
I kicked out before the ref even got to one.
After getting up I hit him with a few kicks to the legs and managed to floor Biceps.
While he was down I grabbed one of his hind legs to try and put him into a half Boston crab.
But was then countered by Biceps who managed to kick me into the ropes.
I then rebounded of the ropes and was met with Biceps who grappled me into a belly to belly and again going for an early pin.
This time I kicked out at the two count which the crowd booed at.
Biceps tried an elbow drop but I dodged and he then crashed his elbow into the canvas.
I ran into the ropes, rebounded off them and ran straight at Biceps delivering a big kick to his face.
I continued my assault with series of kicks followed up by my signature move a curb stop to the back of the head.
I quickly covered Biceps but he just managed to kick out at the last second.
The crowd went wild and I was in shock.
I tried for another pin but instead of just kicking out Biceps pushed me off which sent me flying about four feet into the air.
Biceps then caught me in his signature move a big power bomb, the crowd went crazy as he pinned me.
I managed with the last bit of strength I had left to kick out at two, the crowd fell silent.
Biceps along with the crowd was in shock.
He then set up his for his finisher which was called the Beast back breaker.
As he picked me up on his shoulders I managed to swing round, grabbing his neck and planting him with a DDT.
That move divided the crowd some where shock and others where cheering.
I wasted no time and put him into my finishing move the Bad News Triangle Hold.
Applying as much pressure as I could Biceps tried to fight it but he was forced to tap out.
The bell rang and I released the hold the, crowd both cheered and booed and my hand got raised.
I exited the ring, walked up the ramp and headed backstage to the locker room.
I met up with Beast Biceps in the locker room and we congratulated each other in a successful match.
After the show we did a meet and great with fans It was great meeting everyone that was there signing autographs and taking pictures.
I even had an interview with a newspaper who where doing a story on the new wrestling show.
After a fun but tiring day I headed home to get some sleep I had more training the next day to get ready for next weeks match so i'll see you next week.
