Chapter 1: The first death.
Jay is a nineteen year old Caucasian male with black hair and blue highlights. His nickname is Faint or DJ Bron-3 during work hours. He is currently going to college and he works at night a a club DJ. He is a brony. In his free time he watches MLP:FiM or does parkour.
He does not have real family, but instead grew up with two other orphans, Marcus and Crystal, in an orphanage until the three were adopted by a white couple. They then moved into a 2 story mansion which also had a basement. Jay had loads of fun there, and loved it.
Later on in life he found MLP:FiM and showed his brother and sister. They all liked it. Jay, on more than one occasion, had tried to write his own fanfics. They never turned out just right, so he just kept deleting them and restarting. His brother and sister were his "Beta Readers" as he called them.
About two years later, his step-parents both died from a car crash, at the age of thirty-eight and thirty-nine. Their lives weren't as good after the accident, but they stayed together and kept on moving. The same year, the enrolled in a nearby college.
Jay went for courses in everything except for cooking. Crystal was probably one of the best cooks on earth, and he could cook a lot of different things. Marcus went for a more science and sports approach. Crystal went for the same thing as Jay. A year later, in 2012, Crystal was going to have her eighteenth birthday on April fourth, 9:00 p.m. Jay was going to DJ and set up. This is the day when his life would change forever, but in a more unusual way...
"Hey! Wake up!" Crystal was shaking Jay.
"Hey, whoa, what?......Crystal, it's six o' clock in the morning. Why are you messing with me already?"
"Well, guess what? It's my birthday tonight! You have to DJ for me! I want an original song tonight!"
"Alright, alright. I'll think of something! Now leave me alone." He yawned
"Oh yay!" She squealed and left his room, almost skipping.
Finally, some peace and quiet..... He thought. He closed his eyes and went back to sleep.
Two hours later Marcus came into Jay's room.
"Hey, Faint, get up."
"What?" He lazily replied.
"We got shit to do today. Now get dressed. Today, we have some parkour to do."
Jay sighed. "Whatever, I'll be ready in a few."
"Alright. Me and Crystal will wait for you downstairs. Hurry up." Then Marcus left. Jay got up and went into his bathroom. He took a shower with lukewarm water. He walked over to his closet and opened it. His wardrobe consisted of hardcore style tripp pants, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, skater shoes, and other accessories. Since he didn't have school or work today, and had to do parkour, he went with a more fit look.
He put on a pair of black jeans, a black shirt with Luna shrugging while eating an apple on it. Yes, Jay's favorite pony was Luna, so he had her on a lot of stuff in his room. A couple of wallpapers, and a plushie version. He put on his socks and his favorite blue and black sneakers.
They had really good grip. The last things he had to put on were his fingerless gloves, blue LED dog tags, dark blue watch, his signature blue goggles, and his red contact lenses. He needed glasses, but they said he could wear these instead. For now, he kept his goggles around his neck. Before he was done though, he had to brush he teeth and all that other good stuff, before walking up the stairs (his room was in the basement.) and into the bright, warm, sunlight filled kitchen where his family was waiting for him. He pulled a chair out and sat down.
"Of course, the best chef in the world is cooking us breakfast," Jay said to Marcus.
"Well, no shit sherlock!" Crystal said as she turned around, showing three plates of bacon, pancakes, and eggs. She set them down and gave Jay a cup of coffee, but OJ for her and Marcus.
I was the oldest, and the only one who like coffee. My coffee wasn't bitter though. It had chocolate syrup and milk in it. It was delicious! Then, to the real food. The pancakes were warm and fluffy, golden brown discs from heaven. The bacon was crispy, yet soft. The eggs, which had some hot sauce on them of course, were just awesome. I ate it all in about four minutes total.
"Whoa, slow down there Jay. It's not good for you to eat fast," Crystal said, sounding like their mom. They all laughed. Jay got up and cleaned his dishes before anyone else. He left out to his black and blue Ford Mustang GT. It was a metallic black with shining navy blue double racing stripes. His father had bought it for him on his seventeenth birthday.
He sat down in the driver's seat, and started the car. The engine roared to life. Crystal and Marcus soon followed. Marcus got in back first (only a two-door car,) and Crystal got in front.
See, Crystal wasn't like a normal girl. She was more of a tom-boy, and loved to hang out with her brothers instead of other girls. Yes, she did love cooking, she did still like boys, but she would rather be around her brothers than the jerks at their school.
Marcus, was more normal. He liked parkour, MLP, music, and cars. Practically everybody in their family loved parkour, music, and MLP but he was the only one really interested in cars. He was always jealous about Jay's car, but not seriously.
"Alright. You guys ready?" Jay asked, making minor changes to his rear-view mirror.
"Yep,"
"Uh-huh."
"Let's go then!" Jay said, He pulled out of the drive way, revved the engine, and sped off towards ''Parkour Park''. It was their favorite parkour place, because it was designed for parkour. It wasn't really a park, but it had all kinds of jumps, walls, and other obstacles made to test your skills. There were even some really long drops, and you had to either jump the gap, or find a way down. Only for experts. They reached their destination in about ten minutes. They noticed that only a few people were here today.
"Hey, why so little people?" Jay asked.
"I don't even care," Marcus said smiling, "Just more practice for us." Crystal rolled her eyes and explained.
"It's supposed to rain today. That's probably why." She said, getting out of the car.
"Well, i hope it doesn't. Even if it does though, it won't effect me." Jay said with a smug smile. Marcus left the car and went over to the wall-running course. Jay and Crystal closed the car doors and both went over to the drop-vault. All you ad to do was vault over the platforms barrier, similar to one of a building, (all the courses were designed to look like real-life buildings, just for atmosphere) and land on the smaller ''building'' without falling to the mats below, or losing your balance when you land.
They all practiced for about three to four hours, switching courses after a few runs, before it started to rain. It wasn't pouring, it wasn't heavy, but just enough to make the sky dark and get you wet. Jay was heading over to the most challenging course, when it started to rain. He stood on the start platform and pulled up his goggles. You would think these would mess up his vision, but it really helped him, wearing both goggles and contacts. He was about to start, when Crystal came up behind him.
"You aren't really going to do this in the rain, are you?"
"Well, Yes, i am. It will give me more of a challenge."
"If you make one slip up, you could die!" Marcus called, coming up to the platform.
"Listen, i can handle it. You have seen me do it before."
"Yea, without the rain!" (Usually, without rain, the course was safe and you wouldn't get hurt. With rain, it can be very dangerous.)
"Jay. Don't do it. Please. If you get hurt, or....or..." Crystal said, tearing up.
"You could die. We wouldn't know what to do without ya Jay." Marcus said. He wasn't crying, yet you could tell he was trying not to.
"Please. You Listen. I can do this. Don't worry. I promise everything will be fine!" Jay said, hugging a crying Crystal. She had seen one of her other friends, Jackie, die here. Except she was struck by lightning while going through the course. She fell, and broke her neck when she hit the ground. They all knew this. He turned around and faced the course. There was every challenge here, all put into one. He backed up and got a running start.
Jay was halfway through the course, and it was still raining. The next challenge was a wall-run into a jump onto another platform.
Easy enough, He thought. He started running and jumped to the wall, where he kept his feet running across the slippery billboard. He was about to jump when his right foot slipped. It was about thirty feet to the ground. Crystal and Marcus saw, and starting running, on the ground, towards their falling brother.
For Jay, everything was in slow-motion. He turned his head, and saw His brother and sister running towards him. He looked back up to the sky and watched the rain. Crystal and Marcus were both running at full speed towards him, but they weren't fast enough. He never felt the pain.
When he hit the ground at a high speed he broke almost every bone in his body.
Ta-ta, for now. I must go write chapter 2! I hope to see you all again!
