*this takes place before luna came back*
The sun had now set and the princess stood on the floor of her balcony and stared at the moon.
"How can I repay you sister?" The white alicorn said. "How can I expect you to forgive me?"
After she spoke a river of tears crashed to the ground.
"Clinging to the past I shed our blood and destroyed your chance to live." More tears fell.
At the same momment, luna sat on the moon, her eyes too were clouded with tears as well. "Though I knew the laws, I paid no heed. How can I return thy wasted breath?" Luna wailed, "Whay we did not know hath cost you dear, for there is no cure for death."
Celestia had just reluctently raised the sun and was now sitting before a beautiful painting of a white alicorn with a flowing yellow and red mane.
"Oh dearest mother, once you were gone we were not complete." Celestia said as she remembered trying to impress her mother."Back through the year we reached for you, alas twas not ment to be."
*years later*
Luna and Celestia had just returned to canterlot after the events of nightmare moon.
Celestia stared with a strange look of sorrow and regret on her face.
"How can I make amends" she said as she ran towards her sister and hugged her. "for all that I've taken from you?"
Luna was surprised by the embrace, was not she the one who needed forgivness?
"I led you with hopless dreams." Tia said as she withdrew her embrace and hung her head in shame, "my sister, I was a foal."
Luna nuzzled her sisters forhead. "Do not cry for thy past now, sister." Luna said. "Neither you nor I are free of blame. Nothing can erase the things we did, for the path we took is the same."
"My dreams made me blind and mute." Tia said as she smiled at her sister.
"I long to return to that time." Luna said as she smiled back.
"I followed with out a word." Said Luna, "My sister the fault is mine.
"So where do we go from here?" Luna asked, "And how to forget and forgive?"
Celestia shook her head. "What's gone is forever lost. Now all we can do is live."
