Chapters I sat down next to Rainbow Dash, Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom. They were my best friends.
"Hope y!'a' got in" Said Apple Bloom as she opened her potion book. She was one of Ponyville's most successful scientists.
"Totally. If you do get in, Scootaloo, I'm going to ask Pumpkin Cake to throw you a party!" Squeaked Sweetie Bell enthusiastically.
"I remember when I was waiting with my friends for the mail to come..." remembered Rainbow Dash solemnly.
"Don't sweat it guys I'm probably gonna make it" I said confidently as I glanced at them. They glanced back smiling in agreement.
"Sweetie!" Yelled a whine!y high pitched voice.
"I reckon your coltfriend is here to see you" Murmured Apple Bloom.
"Come over here, Button!" She yelled.
"Why is Button Mash so whiney?!" I asked in a annoyed tone.
Rainbow Dash let out a laugh.
"Ah good question is why is it that the chemical reaction....bla..bla bla bla yada yada yada" that's all I heard from her as I rolled my eyes and wiped some of my mane out of my face.
"Hi ,Scootaloo!" Greeted Button Mash as he sat down next to Sweetie Bell.
"Hey" I said back as I looked ahead. There she was! Wait, was it? Yes, it was her!" I stood up and zoomed over to the Mail mare quickly.
"Hey Scootaloo!" Said Dinky Do.
"Hey Dinky! Got my letter?" I asked.
Dinky smiled as she pulled out a white envelope and handed it to me.
"Thanks!" I said as I zoomed back excitedly.
"What's up?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"I don't know, yet"I shrugged as I teared open the envelope.
"You're in, right?" Apple Bloom asked me.
My eyes opened wide. I was to be trained by Rainbow Dash's coltfriend: Soarin AND her old trainer: Spitfire. "OMG!" I yelled as I swirled into the air.
"What?" Asked Dash excitedly.
"I'm in advanced classes, trained by Spitfire AND Soarin!" I yelled.
Sweetie Bell beamed "that'excellent! Who else is in with you?" She asked me.
I scanned the paper "Feather Weight, Rumble, Pound Cake, Bee Bop, Chip Mint, Cloud Feather and Cherry" I said pretending I was not pumped up that my other friend: Rumble was gonna be with me.
Apple Bloom looked up from her book "Rumble and yourself are more than friends...right?" She asked smugly.
I blushed "N-no!" I stammered. We'd kissed and dated a few times, though...
Rainbow Dash grinned "Oooh! Rumbleoo!" She teased.
I blushed harder "I better get packing, I'm leaving tomorrow" I said, desperate to change the subject.
Button Mash nodded "Yeah" he agreed.
Sweetie Bell gave him a how-could-you-say-that?! Look.
I rolled my eyes as I zoomed by, and gave him a playful kick as I passed by him.
"Hey!" He frowned.
"Rage quit!" I mocked as I dashed to my house.

I grabbed my bag and set it on my bed quickly. I threw my pillow and blanket inside along with my picture of me when I was little in the cutie mark crusaders tree house with Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom standing next to me.
"Scootaloo! I heard Rainbow Dash's voice from downstairs.
"What?" I asked as I reared my head out the doorway.
"It's bedtime!" She yelled.
My mouth hung open. We'd agreed yesterday that I could go to sleep whenever I pleased! "Nah" I yelled.
"Scootaloo!" Said Rainbow Dash in a annoyed motherly tone.
"Rainbow Dash you can't just go control my life!" I yelled back.
There was dead silence. Then, the sound of Rainbow Dash trotting the stairs.
I groaned as I flopped down on my bed. Why does she want to control me! She should know I'm not Button Mash's gameboy! I thought as I heard Rainbow Dash enter my room.
"What now?" I asked.
"Nothing. I'm sorry I've been acting like that it's just that..." Rainbow bit her lip. "It's not cool" she warned me.
I nodded my head as I waited for her reply.
"My dad is being annoying" she let out.
I frowned "tell me about immature" I murmured.
RD smiled as she zoomed out of my room. That left me to resume packing as I grabbed a jacket for when I was cold. I shoved it in my bag as I got my toothpaste, toothbrush and mouthwash Colgate had given me along with my floss. I threw it in my bag, and yawned as I closed it. I put it by the door along with my invitation. I snuggled warm and cozy in my bed as I pulled out my laptop to call Rumble on Skype. I opened it and typed in the password. I went right to Skype and pressed on Rumble's name. I clicked the call button as I waited. He answered almost imidiantly as he smiled.
"Hey? What's up? He asked.
I shrugged. "Not much...just got going to the Wonderbolts academy tomorrow!" I said excitedly.
He smiled. "Yup. We're roommates" he said happily.
My mouth dropped open "no. Way. That means we're partners!" I squeaked.
Rumble nodded as he smiled dreamily at me.
I smiled back at him in a friendly way. "Wanna fly there together?" I offered.
Rumble nodded "Yeah! I mean, sure" he corrected himself.
I gave him a funny look. "So...are you pumped that we're in advanced classes?" I asked smugly.
Rumble beamed "totally! It's so thrilling!" He said.
I smiled. "Truth is, I heard from RD that Spitfire is a dumb retard who yells at everpony" I giggled.
Rumble laughed. "I betcha Soarin will be MUCH better" he said, amusement glimmering in his eyes.
I nodded. "I'm gonna go to sleep...good night, Rumble" I said.
Rumble smiled "Sleep tight, don't let the boogie mare bite" he teased.
I rolled my eyes as I shut my laptop and slowly closed my eyes as I drifted off to sleep.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. "Shudddup" I groaned as I put the pillow over my head. Crap, this thing won't let me...WONDERBOLTS ACADEMY TODAY! I thought suddenly as I pulled off the covers and shut off my alarm clock. I galloped to my bathroom and grabbed my comb. I felt the small pricks glide through my mane as I gave an approving nod at my combed mane. I flew downstairs in a hurry.
"Hey Scoots!" Said Rainbow Dash, who was unusually up early. She was flipping rainbow-cloud-fluffy pancakes. I licked my lips. My favorite.
I heard a loud knock on the door. I rushed to it as I opened the door. "Hi Ru-"my sentence was cut off by Rumble barging in and knocking me down to the floor. Rumble kicked the door shut as he helped me up.
"Sorry" he said sheepishly. He was breathing heavily.
"What is it?" I asked.
Rumble looked down at his hooves. He mumbled something under his breath.
"What?" I asked.
Rumble shook it off. "Nothing" he replied.
I gave him a weird nod as I turned to RD. "Are the RCFPs done?" I asked.
Rainbow Dash grinned "Duh! I'm the most awesome cook" she replied as she put two plates down and the pancakes on the plates.
"what's a RCPF?" Asked Rumble quizically.
"Rainbow-Cloud-Soft pancakes" I replied as I sat down.
Rumble sat down next to me as he smiled at me. "Hey...uh..Scootaloo?" He asked.
I turned to him "yeah?" I asked.
He blushed. Uh..wanna be-" his sentence was cut off by Rainbow Dash. She dropped the plate that had shattered into pieces.
I flinched.
"Best cook, huh?" Teased Rumble.
Dash stuck her tounge out. "I never said I was the best plate dropper" she replied.
I flew over to save the rainbow cloud fluffy pancake as I grabbed another plate and carried it to Rumble.
"Thanks" he said.
I nodded as I grabbed my own pancake and plopped down.
Rainbow Dash began sweeping up all the tiny pieces of plate.
"Nice going RD" I commented.
She gave me a dirty look.
I shoved some fluffy pancake in my mouth as I savored the delicious flavour.
"Mm mm. These are good!" Complemented Rumble as he ate some more.
"I know, right!?" I agreed happily.
I took my last bite and gave my plate up to Rainbow Dash. "Don't drop it" I advised.
Rainbow Dash grinned as she put the plate in the sink.
"I'm gonna go get my bag" I said to Rumble as I trotted upstairs. I used to count the number of stairs as a filly and pretend they magically changed numbers each week. I opened the door to my room and put on my saddlebags, quickly. I rushed downstairs. Rumble was ready with bis saddlebags as well.
Rainbow Dash came over to me and gave me a big bear hug. A tear rolled down her face.
"Dash, are you crying?" I asked.
"Allergies" she sniffled.
I knew she was crying, but was too embarrassed to admit it. "Bye Rainbow Dash" I gripped her tight.
She let me go as she locked her eyes with mine. "I have a feeling you'll be a Wonderbolt" she whispered.
I smiled. She finally embraced me in one last hug before I had to fly off.
"Wow. All my brother did to me was give me a small hug and wish me luck" he mumbled.
"Ay you!"
There was a deep voice behind us.
I whipped around, fierce mode instantly flipped on. "What?" I hissed.
"Gimme the money!" Said a second pony. They finally stepped into view. There was three of them. One was Brown with a bandana on his head and a green mane, the second was taller with a chain by his flank and a piercing on his lip,and the third was grey with a brown mane and had on sagging pants which was extremely rare.
"Back off!" Barked Rumble.
"Ooh, are we getting yelled at by the simple filly?" Asked the third one. Gangsters by the looks of them.
"Fail!" Snorted the second.
"Don't tell us your life story! Why do you think you ended up on the streets thinking you're cool? Huh? Because i've got news for you, buddy: You're not!" I snarled.
The second one looked astonished.
"Can't let her talk to you like that, bones!" Said the first one.
The second now known as 'Bones' turned to me. "What did you say?" He asked.
I gave him a smug look. "Oh, you heard... or do you need hearing aids for that too?" I asked.
Rumble looked at me like I was the flash.
Bones huffed as he turned tail. "C'mon guys this chick is crazy" he said as the three galloped off into the distance.
I gave a snort of approval before turning back to trot with Rumble.
"Dang, Scoots" he said as he caught up next to me.
"Yeah, those guys were super weird" I replied.
"Weren't you kinda freaked out?" He asked.
"Yeah. Sorta" I admitted. Deep down inside there had been a pang of fear.
"Where are we supposed to be right now?" He asked.
"We gotta fly to the end of the rainbow and go upwards to Cloudsdale" I said. My saddlebags were getting heavier and heavier by the minute and my back was starting to ache.
"We're not far from there!" Said Rumble as he pointed his hoof by the end of the rainbow. He was right, it wasn't far, but would still require more steps.
"Alrighty" I confirmed as I resumed my short, yet painful walk to Cloudsdale.
I opened my eyes slowly. It was morning already. guess I must have fallen asleep... I thought. I glanced over at Rumble, who was already awake, he was just starring into space. I shrugged as I examined my room. It was nice, and neat except for my bed when the maid would come in and fix it up. I turned to a mirror and began brushing my mane. I loved the way the pricks glided through my mane. I grabbed my toothbrush and squirted toothpaste on it. Morning breath was always horrible. I began brushing and scrubbing my teeth, clean. When I was done I spat out and rinsed my mouth with water. I gave a quick check In the mirror.
"Rumble, wake up" I called softly.
Rumble sat up as he smiled and began to rub his eyes.
I waited for him by the door patiently. Today we were getting our training suits! I was so exited! Just had to wait for him to comb his mane and.... DONE! We zoomed out the door.
"We forgot to lock it!" He gasped.
I groaned "crap! Go lock it" I said.
Rumble nodded as he flew back and locked the door to our room.
We resumed flying to the door that would take us outside. I could feel the warm breeze slap my face as I went by. I quickly slowed down and folded my wings. I trotted outside peacefully.
"Couldn't we just have flown?" He asked.
"We don't want to be seen as too exited" I murmured.
He nodded his head in understanding, as he trotted next to me and entered the building for our training suits.

"I love this one! Fits me perfectly!" I said as I motioned towards my training suit.
Rumble nodded as he checked his won. We both looked awesome in our training suits. The rest had them on too. We week standing in a single file line next to each other. A yellow pegasus known as Spitfire came into view. She had on glasses and a blue shirt.
"Y'all think you got what it takes to be a Wonderbolt?!" She thundered.
"Yes ma'am!" Replied everyone but me. I wasn't intimidated by her.
She went up to Chip Mint. "Still think your hot stuff?" She asked.
Chip Mint nodded his head no shakily.
She trotted over to Cheery. "Still think your something special?" She asked.
Cheery nodded her no as well.
She went up to me.
"I bet you couldn't even past the first obstacle" she said waiting to see my reaction.
"I bet you couldn't even pass Wonderbolts academy. What'd you get? A pass?" I challened.
Everypony gasped.
Spitfire looked at me angrily. "You look like the worst flier!" She spat.
I laughed." Actually, YOU are. You don't even train! All you do is plop your butt in your office and sign papers" I shot back.
Spitfire smiled "congratulations" she whispered.
I frowned. What was that supposed to mean?
She passed on to Rumble.
"Betcha you'll give up on the first try" she said.
Rumble rolled his eyes "if I were to give up,I wouldn't be here, would I?" He asked.
Spitfire smiled at him the same way she had smiled at me.
"Were gonna go on the Dizatron, first!" She yelled.
I smiled as I slipped my air goggles on. This was going to be easy. Rainbow Dash my have gotten the best time on this thing, but my goal was to be better than her . I smiled challengingly at Spitfire. She cocked and eyebrow and smiled.
"Wanna go first, kid?" She asked.
"Try me" I growled competitively.
Spitfire nodded.
I flew over and adjusted myself in the little metal strap. "Oh, and change this from slow to death speed" I said.
Spitfire murmured something as the same pony who had been giving keys to our doors switched a lever from turtle, to rabbit to a skull.
I made sure my goggles were put on correctly, before the machine started. I started spinning round and round and round. The whole world was a blur to me. It was a mix of different colors. It was.... AWESOME!
"Release!" Yelled Spitfire, as I was shot up into the sky. I shook my head and spread my wings. I was still pretty dizzy, but was able to recover as I zoomed down.
Spitfire looked at me, astonished. She was speechless. "Three seconds, flat" she whispered.
I opened my mouth. Three seconds. THREE SECONDS. THREE SECONDS! I set the record! I felt so awesome as all the other pegasi hoof bumped me! Woah! This was amazing! I HAD to send a letter to Dash!
"Get back in your places!" Yelled Spitfire, going back to fierce mode.
Everypony scampered back to their places in a hurry.
Spitfire turned to me. "You can watch the others, or go rest for a bit over there on the bench" she said.
"I'll watch" I said as I sat down. Bee Bop was next. He was a orange pegasus with a red mane. He got on the dizatron, that had already been set back to turtle. He gulped as it began spinning round and round and round. No pony would top my speed. I was sure of it.
"Resale!" Shouted Spitfire as Bee Bop was launched in the air. He was still extremely dizzy and stayed on a cloud for about five seconds before falling down face flat.
Spitfire looked at him in disgust. "You dishonor me" she hissed in his ear.
Bee Bop whimpered and sat next to me. "You made it look so easy!" He said in a winey tone.
I remembered when some pony had said that to Rainbow Dash "I make everything look easy" I replied.
I began making my way through the crowd of pegasi that had formed. There was a paper that signaled the Cloudsdale training prom tonight at 7:30. Only pegasi 18 and up could attend. Great! I was 19 already. So were the rest of the pegasi training here. Except Rumble, was 20. It didn't matter as long as all my friends got to go.
"Come on, recruits!" Yelled Spitfire in a commanding voice that sent a slight shiver down my spine.
"You going to the dance?" Asked Cheery, cheerfully.
"Yup!" I said. I checked to make sure my training suit was on properly. Yup. I'm good.
"I'm going with Chip Mint" she sighed dreamily.
"I'm going with Rumble" I murmured. I didn't want to go with a stallion. I didn't have time for males. It's all independence for me. I wanted to be like Rainbow Dash. Not like Derpy, who's always tired and taking care of a new filly.
"Great!" Cheered Cheery.
"Yeah. Great" I said.
"Hey, Scootaloo!" Yelled Pound Cake as he flew up to me.
"Yeah?" I turned around.
"Would you rather be feared or loved?" He asked.
I thought about it. "Easy! Both. I want ponies to fear of how much they love me" I said dramatically.
Pound Cake cracked up as he flew towards the single file of ponies that was forming.
I smiled. It was always nice to make a friend laugh. I flew over behind Pound Cake. Soarin and Spitfire dropped out of the sky quickly in a professional move.
"Alright, maggots! Gimme 59 laps stat!" She yelled.
This annoyed me. She was so slappable ! I frowned. " I can't exactly give you 59 laps, now can I?" I challenged.
Spitfire scowled. "Shut up and get to work" she snarled.
I smirked. "You mad? I would make a ugly face at you, but seems as if you already have one" I said casually.
Spitfire bristled. "Listen here, you idi-" she was cut off by Soarin. He gave her a dirty look.
Spitfire snarled as she trotted over to where the Dizatron was.
"I'm sorry, Spitty just gets a little... wound up sometimes, with snappy comebacks" he apolagized.
I snorted. "I'm not snappy!" I said.
Rumble looked over at me and nodded his head in agreement. "she's right sir" he said.
Soarin looked confused. "Okay then. Let's make partners, first" he said in a matter-of-fact voice as he puffed out his chest.
"I hope we get to be partners!" squealed Cheery.
"Yeah..." I said weakly, knowing that she would be let down and dissapointed when she was assigned partners with some other pony.
"Cheery and Chip Mint!" Said Soarin as he scanned the line of ponies.
Cheery's face fell for a second or two. "Okay!" She said returning back to her cheery self.
After Soarin had made partners, Spitfire came back. "Tomorrow we have a competition against Los Pegasi training center!" She said boldly.
Everypony there gasped. "Awesome!" Said Rumble and I at the same time as we exchanged happy glances and high hoofed.
Spitfire turned. There was a slight smile of amusement on her face. "Yes. Awesome. You better be prepared." She said.
Soarin smiled. "Today, we're gonna play relay races" he said quickly.
"Yeah!" Yelled Pound Cake.
"Uh-huh!" Yelled Bee Bop.
"Anyways" resumed Soarin "this game tests your ability to withstand hardships and see how fast you can fly" He said. Three ponies who looked much bigger stepped into the training where we were.
"This is Plane Dash, Quick stream and Rabbit foot" said Soarin as he nodded to the older ponies. They will be judging you today." He said as he turned to Spitfire. "Pull it" he said.
Spitfire nodded and pulled a big metal lever. Five big hoops shot up.
"Were gonna fly through those?" Asked Rumble as he put his hoof around me.
"I guess" I muttered as I looked up in amazement at it.
"Dang. That's gonna be hard" he replied.
I nodded and pulled on my d pulled on my air goggles as I took a deep breath.
"Good Luck Scootaloo!" Yelled Chip Mint from across the field. I nodded and looked over at Rumble. He was looking up at the hoops as well.
"I hope you're ready! The race will begin in 5...4...3...2....1 GO GO GO!" He yelled.
I instantly zoomed off leaving a slight trail of Orange behind me. Rumble was falling behind, but still at my side. I flapped my wings faster as I swirled over one of the metal hoops. Spitfire DID give extra credit... Right? I finished and looked back. Everyone was way behind expect for me and Rumble. I smirked and went over the next hoop. It felt pretty awesome to be in the lead. I finished the second hoop and prepared for the third. I flexed my wings and flapped them hard. I knew exactly what I wanted to do now. I zoomed through the hoop and flew directly up, until it seemed like I was litteraly touching the sun. Then I zoomed down as fast as my wings could take me. I went faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and then BOOM!. A rainbow shot all around and made the loudest sound I'd ever heard. So I dropped into a diving position and landed in front of Spitfire and Soarin who's mouths hung open.
"How'd I do?" I asked smugly.
Spitfire pulled her glasses up. "Well. That was a great demonstration, recruit" she said finally as she looked over at Soarin.
Soarin was still staring at me in shock. Spitfire punched him. "I-i mean.. dang, that was cool!" He said.
Spitfire facehoofed. "You gotta giver her CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK, SOARIN!" She yelled.
Soarin jumped. "Oh yeah. Anyways, that was really cool and you did good. Who'd ya' learn from?" He asked.
I beamed "Rainbow Dash" I said proudly.
Spitfire nodded. "Makes sense" she muttered.
"Here come the others!" Said Soarin as Rumble shot in next to me. Next was Pound Cake, third was Chip Mint, then Feather Weight, on his heels was Bee Bop and finally Cheery, who was looking pooped.
"You all did well" said Spitfire as she looked us up and down. "Prom is today. I suggest you all go get ready" she said.
Cheery and Bee Bop squealed. They started galloping torawrads the rooms. I sighed and followed. Rumble flew past me giving me a slight punch on the arm. I began galloping after Cheery and Bee Bop. "This better be good" I mumbled.

Cheery was hogging the mirror. "Me and Feather Weight are gonna dance and dance and be happy!" She screamed.
Bee Bop was hogging the closet trying to find what to wear. "Me and Chip Mint are gonna be the cutest couple!" She sighed dreamily as she pulled on a orange dress with blue flowers.
Cherry turned to me. "What about you, Scootaloo!? Whoa are you going with?" She asked.
"Rumble" I replied simply as I trotted over to the mirror and began brushing my mane.
Bee Bop stared at me. "OMG REALLY?!" She half asked,half screamed.
I nodded "Yup". I gave myself a quick check in the mirror. My mane was silky soft. I went to the closet. My Wonderbolt training suit was already off, So I looked through the stuff. I suddenly spotted one that was the color of my mane, and had yellow lightning bolts. I quickly put it on and rushed to the mirror again. I tied up my mane in a bun and smiled. Perfect. Suddenly, Cheery squealed in my ear.
"Girl, Rumble is gonna get what he wants with you!" She said.
I laughed. I may have been a tomboy, but it didn't hurt to let loose and laugh like a girly girl at girly girl things!
Bee Bop also admired my dress. "Are you and R planning anything extra for after the night?" She asked.
I stared at that girl. "I'm gonna kill you".
Bee Bop and Cheery laughed and giggled.
I laughed slightly myself as I let my messy bangs loose. I looked decent enough to go to prom. Which worried me enough. If Rumble saw me, thinking I was pretty, I'd be in trouble.
"Scootaloo, that dress IS pretty awesome" Said Cheery.
I beamed "thanks! Need help with your mane?" I asked her.
Cheery nodded "Please". She had on a blue dress with pink markings, that matched her bubblegum coat.
"I can help too!" protested Bee Bop as she quickly styled Cheery's mane into two bouncy pigtails.
"Cute" I said because it was the only girly thing I knew how to say.
Suddenly, Pound Cake burst through the door "IMMA BE THE THIRD WHEEL" He yelled.
Bee Bop shrieked "Get out of here!" She ordered.
"Who's third wheel?!" I asked loudly.
"Um, yours and Rumble's, of course" He said like it was supposed to be obvious or something.
I sighed. "No Pound Cake" I replied.
He stared at me "Um, yes" he replied in a sassy voice.
"Fine. I wouldn't like to be alone with Rumble anyways" I admited.
"Are we there yet?" Asked Rumble
"Ugh! I'll tell you when we get there!" I said loudly. We had been trotting for quite a while now and all Rumble would ask is 'are we there yet?'. I could see the rainbow pointing upwards to Cloudsdale, and we WERE almost there...
"Can't we just stop and rest?" He asked me.
"Fine" I replied as I plopped down next to a tree. I took out my sandwich RD had packed me and took a large bite.
Rumble eyed the sandwich hungrily.
"Thunder Lane didn't pack you anything to eat?!" I asked shocked.
"No. He said that snack breaks are for mares" he shrugged.
I punched him playfully "Hey!"
"Well, not mares like you but..." he turned around at me and we starred deep into each other's eyes for a while. I shook the odd feeling that was swelling up inside me off. I took out a hotdog wrapped in aluminium foil. "Here. Take it" I said as I hoofed over the sandwich.
Rumble looked at me thankfully as he took the hot dog and wolfed it down.
I myself, took another big bite of the sandwich. Rainbow Dash had flown to Twilight's house and picked up some sandwiches. She had packed one for me, especially. The flavor flowed down my throat as I gobbled up the rest. Rumble had already finished and was drinking some water. I took out my own water and began to drink. It was still ice cold, so that was good.
"C'mon" said Rumble who had already stood up with his saddlebags adjusted.
I did the same as I stood up and began trotting next to him.

"We're here" I breathed happily. After five hundred hours (okay, maybe just twenty minutes) we were at the rainbow. I began to fly upwards to Cloudsdale. I loved the sensation of the fresh breeze ruffling through my mane. I could tell Rumble enjoyed it as well.
"We're going to the Wonderbolts academy" he said in a sing song voice.
Almost there! I thought. Cloudsdale was only about five wing flaps higher...YES! Me and Rumble shot up into Cloudsdale.
"Hey Scootaloo!"
It was some Sony's voice... some pony I recognized... Feather Weight!
"Hey Feather Weight!" I yelled as I swooped down onto the large cloud. Pound Cake was there as well.
"Hey Pound" I greeted.
"Sup'" he asked as we did a hoof bump.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around.
"Hi Scootaloo" said a shy voice.
"CHEERY!" I exclaimed as we embraced in a friendly hug.
"Haven't seen you since middle school! What high school are you going to now?" She asked. Her braces still were on her teeth and she sounded pretty funny.
"Ponyville high" I replied casually. I wiped some imaginary dust off my chest.
"Mm. Well, I'm gonna get adjusted to my room and my roommate" she said as she flew off towards a grey pony with a black mane, mustache and a blue shirt on with a blue cap, who was giving the pegasi room numbers, as they entered a medium sized building.
I shrugged as I flew over to him.
"Name?" He asked me.
"Scootaloo" I responded.
"Envelope?"
I pulled out my envelope and gave it to him. He nodded as he gave me my keys.
"Rumble, is already in you two's room. He has the same copy of keys" mumbled the pegasus.
I nodded as I took the keys in my mouth.
"Hey Scootaloo!"
I turned around. It was Chip Mint. I waved my hoof at him and gave him a i-can't-talk-because-I-have-keys-in-my-mouth look. He seemed to understand as he smiled and trotted into his room where Pound Cake was setting up his stuff on his side of the room. I trotted over to the room marked 3 . I smiled which was hard to do as I opened the door. Rumble was on his side where his bed was nicely made. He had a poster of the Wonderbolts. There was Soarin, Fleet Foot, Leaping River and Cloud Buster. I spotted Spitfire's head rearing in the picture, trying to get in. I grinned as I trotted over to my bed.
"Hey Scoots!" He said as he smiled.
"Heyo" I said as I dropped my saddlebags on the floor and began putting the blankets on my bed alongside my pillow. I posted my calendar next to my bed. For January there was a picture of Soarin in the snow. February, was Spitfire flying through the autum forest. March, was Leaping River by a waterfall grinning straight at the pony who bought this. April, was Cloud Buster kicking clouds and making thunder. May, was Rainbow Dash and Soarin sitting together next to each other on a cloud. June, which was this month had all of the Wonderbolts together standing and smiling.This was gonna be amazing. I was going to be a Wonderbolt! I opened the window as the breeze ruffled through my mane. I sighed happily as I gazed at the large training area.
"Scootaloo..I was going to ask you..but uh.."
His voice faded as he glanced down.
"What? Tell me" I demanded as just fixed my gaze back on him.
Rumble took a deep breath. "There's going to be a dance. Sorta like prom. Will you go with me?" He asked me quickly.
I coughed nervously. I didn't want to break his heart. I had to say yes. "S-sure" I said. I hesitated a bit.
Rumble beamed "YES! I mean...cool" he said as he blushed.
I gulped. "Y-yeah." I mumbled. I wasn't very comfortable going to the Cloudsdale training prom with my best guy friend. I shook it off as I resumed unpacking. I took out my circle shapped rug and spread it across the floor. The room's floor was already rug, but who cared anyways? I pulled out a poster that had Leaping River with sunglasses on drinking lemonade. It said: Like a boss . I smiled as I sprawled it across my wall where my bed was facing. I pulled out another poster that had a highway. It had in bold letters printed, one of my favorite comebacks: You must have been born on a highway... that's where most accidents happen I hung it up,so when I went to sleep I could see it. I flopped down on my bed and sighed. What a day
