Soarin and Spitfire were friends from foalhood. Always together, partnering, tag-teaming, cheering for each other, whatever it came to. They both knew they were shooting for the Wonderbolts, and quite obviously they both succeeded.

It's been almost a decade since they made it in, and now that they're this far from where they were at the beginning when they both sat together as foals gazing up at aerial performances in awe, Soarin has this growing worry about something he never really questioned before: the two of them. His own feelings regarding her have been streaming across his mind as he really starts to wonder what's going to happen to the two them, and finally comes to realize something that in a way he always knew . . .
