"Get 'em out, get 'em out! Careful..." Were the words I hear. I was gently pulled onto the grass. "Where...am I?" I say. I see Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were beside me. But I saw something very odd. Stone, hollow encasements. "What are those?" I ask. The three ponies pulling us out looked at each other and then back at us. I try to stand up, but I immediately fell back down. What had happened to me? I try to stand up again, and I did it, but my legs felt like they had been frozen for years. Sweetie and Scootaloo stumble over to me and the ponies who had gotten us out of the stone.
"What happened? And who are you?" Sweetie asked. Suddenly, we saw something very surprising. Zecora! She came out of the shadows, walking like us. And before the three ponies could answer, I bound over to Zecora and asked,"What's happened?" "I'm sorry, dear Apple Bloom. I cannot tell you." She didn't rhyme! Something was going on, and I intended to know what. "So?" I said to the ponies. One pony answered.
"My name is Yellow Sweet, and I am your greatest niece. I am your sister's daughter's daughter's son's-"
"What?! What in Equestria are you talking about?!" I shout. Zecora steps in and sighs.
"500 years ago, a Cockatrice found you, Sweetie, and Scootaloo. Right as it was about turn you to stone, I ran in front of it and it turned me instead. But alas, you were not fast enough and you all were turned to stone. This year they have found out that stone encasement preserves ponies for centuries. They now have captive cockatrices and are experimenting on willing ponies. You have slept for 500 years." I fall down.
When I wake, I'm at home. It was just a dream, I think. Until I saw Zecora and the three ponies there. I then realized it all: the stone encasements, Zecora not rhyming, not walking easily. I start to cry. All my family would be dead. All my friends would be dead. Hay, I didn't even know if the princesses were still alive. Sweetie and Scootaloo were crying beside me as well.
"All our friends and family are dead!!" Scootaloo sobs.
"Wait a second, how is AB's house still here?" Sweetie asked. Yellow Sweet replied,
"Our family had it preserved." Yellow Sweet says.
"What happened to my sister an' Granny an' Big Mac?" I say.
"Your family searched for you until they died. Granny Smith died of old age, Big Mac died of an unknown disease, and Applejack died giving birth to her daughter and son." Yellow replied.
"What?! Oh... So you're my greatest ever niece?" I ask.
"Up to this point." She says. Zecora steps forward.
"I too have struggled. I lost my rhyme, and my good friends...my only friends are gone. But I think I know of someone who can talk you through this. Princess Twilight Sparkle."
