Rainbow Dash's mothering

"MOM" Yelled Bolt Shadow Grace, the only son of Rainbow Dash and Soarin and was about 5 years of age.

"Coming honey" yelled Rainbow Dash before a pancake flipped out of the pan and landed on her face. "It’s too early for this" Rainbow sighed before getting on her hooves and going to greet her son.

"MOm-mm bwahahahahaha" laughed Bolt after seeing his mother with a pancake covering her eyes while she stumbled around looking for a place to sit down. "Over here mom" Bolt said in between chuckling and trying to not fall over laughing at the sight of his mother stumbling around trying to find a chair. "Hey dad, come here and look at what mom did." Bolt yelled up to his dad who was just waking up.

"Huh what is it Bolt I was ju... uh what is going on here." Soarin blinked as he looked at his wife stumbling around and trying to get a pancake off of her face. "Hun." Soarin sighed as he saw what was happening "How about I show you were to sit."

"Mhhhmmhmh" Rainbow said while her husband led her to a chair and tried to pull the pancake off of her face

"The pancake is stuck so there is only one way to get it off now." Soarin sighed.

"But dad, last time this happened we had the entire house covered in cake remember." Bolt said.

"I still have no clue how she was able to pull the blowtorch and exploding cake out of our lamp" Soarin grumbled under his breath. "Pinkie, we need you again." Soarin yelled.

"You called?" Pinkie Pie said as she popped out of a nearby plant.

"Yes Pinkie we have another pancake incident here." Soarin told the bouncy pink mare.

"Ohh another one of those well this should help." Pinkie said as she pulled out a blowtorch and a cake with a fuse.

"No no no Pinkie can't we do it so other-BOOM way." Soarin said as the cake blew up covering the entire house with cake and frosting as well as blowing the pancake off of Rainbow's face.

"YAY CAKE!" Pinkie yelled as she jumped into the plant and vanished.

"I have got to find out how she does that." Soarin mumbled as he went to work trying to clean up the cake from the walls.

"Mom can I go visit Fluttershy." Bolt asked his mother using the most pleading voice he could muster.

"Well I guess you do know how to flay so why not." Rainbow said as she nuzzled her son's cheek. "Just stay out of trouble and be back by lunch." Rainbow said as she waved her son goodbye as he flew to Fluttershy's cottage.
