Zombie Apocalypse: Equestria

Outskirts of Ponyville
4:00 PM

The lighting in the cellar was very dim and it took Raging Bullet a second to get his eyes to adjust.

"Drop the gun." Said a deep voice as a shotgun was heard being cocked. "Who are you and why are you here?" the voice said again.

Raging Bullet unloaded his gun and put it on the ground. "My name is Raging Bullet, we came up here because we were looking for a place to set up a camp to survive." Raging Bullet explained. "My friend SureShot and Pinkie Pie are up there. Coming here was Pinkie Pies idea." Raging Bullet explained as he turned around to see a red coated stallion pointing a shotgun at his head.

"You know Pinkie Pie?" said an orange mare. "She is mah friend, how did yah meet her?" asked the mare.

"Well my car had crashed two miles out from Ponyville and as I wandered the streets she got my attention and called me inside her bakery. There I met SureShot, a Captain of the military that was stationed there." Raging Bullet explained, he turned around to the red stallion "Could you please put that down, I don't like having guns pointed at my head." Raging Bullet said as the red stallion lowered the shotgun.

"Sorry, By the way I am Big Mac, These are my sisters Applejack and Applebloom, And that is Granny Smith." Big Mac said. Raging Bullet looked around and his eyes adjusted more to the dim light and he made out the three mares in front of him.

"Nice to meet you all. Do you mind if I reholster my gun?" Raging Bullet asked turning to Big Mac.

"Yea sorry bout the shotgun, you could have been an invader for all we knew. It wouldn't be the first time..." Big Mac said trailing off.

"Well I want to make a proposal. We have gas, guns and people. I think we should pool start a camp up here. Me and SureShot know how to shoot so we could provide some defences." Raging Bullet explained

"Well ah dont know. Granny what do you think?" Applejack said looking at Granny Smith

"Ah dont know. What else could you do for us?" Granny Smith asked

"Well what else do you need done?" Raging Bullet asked

"We could use some more workers in the field, and we also need to reinforce our fences." Granny Smith said pondering if anything else needed to be done.

"Done, We can help you guys out with whatever you need done." Raging Bullet said.

"Then its a deal. Lets go up there and start preparing for the work ahead of us." Applejack said and they all started to leave the cellar.

When the Apple family got out of the cellar Pinkie Pie jumped on top of Applejack and hugged her as tight as she could. "OH I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH" She said as she squeezed Applejack tighter.

"Uh.. We missed you too Pinkie." Applejack said returning the hug.

For the next hour the group started to remove the barricade of furniture to let the cars get onto the property. Then Big Mac took SureShot and Raging Bullet over to a shed to get some supplies to start reinforcing the fence. "This may take a while, maybe late into the night so we are going to need somepony to keep watch on us while we work." Big Mac said. "We should be fine for now but lets get as much done as we can before it starts getting late."

"Well lets get going then." SureShot said. Big Mac, Raging Bullet and SureShot started to work on the fence while Granny Smith, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Applebloom went inside and started to clean up the house. As the day started to turn to night the reinforcement of the front gate fences were just finishing up before Big Mac decided to call it a night. "I think we have done all we can for today. Lets head inside and see how the house..." Big Mac trailed off as he saw an infected pony in the distance.

"What is it?" Raging Bullet asked as he looked in the same direction as Big Mac, just barely seeing the infected pony. "SureShot could you make the shot from here?" Raging Bullet asked

"Easily." SureShot said as he grabbed his rifle and lined up his shot. The gunshot echoed through the hills and the pony fell to the ground.

"What the hay was that!" Applejack yelled as she ran out of the house

"SureShot took down one of the infected." Raging Bullet explained

"What if somepony else heard that gunshot, what if a large group of those things heard that? Then what?" Applejack said as she glared at SureShot

"Calm down sis, no pony heard that and with Raging Bullet and SureShot here he dont need to worry about anypony sneaking onto the farm at night." Big Mac said trying to calm down Applejack. "Look its getting late I think we should all turn in for the night. You guys coming?"

"Yea one second. I need to discuss some things with SureShot." Raging Bullet said as he started to walk to SureShot

"What do you need to discuss?" SureShot asked

"Our shifts on watch. I think I should take first shift, you need the rest since you didn't wake me up to take over last night." Raging Bullet said as he rested against a fence. "I am going to need your rifle though, to keep an eye on things."

"Of course. do you know how to use this type of weapon?" SureShot asked, handing over the rifle to Raging Bullet

"I've had some training" Raging Bullet said as he slung the rifle on his back

"Okay lets head in." SureShot said as he started to walk back to the house. on the way back to the house Raging Bullet and SureShot discussed the shifts they would be in for the night. When they made it to the house they were surprised to see all of the furniture put back in place and the blood cleaned off the walls. The bullet holes were still there but there was nothing that could have been done about those today.

"Wow they really did a good job fixing up the place." SureShot said as he looked at all the furniture.

"I am going to head over to the barn, i can get a good view of the land from up there." Raging Bullet said as he trotted off to the barn.

SureShot lied down on the couch and just started to think about everything that happened and the close call he had back at Sugarcube Corner. Eventually he found a comfortable position and fell asleep.

Raging Bullet on the other hoof was sitting in the loft of the barn with the rifle leaning against the wall. He looked out toward the main gate then over to the fence he stayed on watch for the next couple of hours. When his watch read 2:00 AM he picked up the rifle and started to make his way back to the house. When he was about halfway back he heard a moaning sound coming from the rows of trees. Raging Bullet took out his flashlight and shone it on the trees. He looked around for the next five minutes. Finding nothing he turned his light off and headed back to the house.

When he walked inside he made sure not to wake anypony up that was sleeping. he made his way to the couch where SureShot was sleeping and quietly woke him up. "Hey its your shift now, oh and watch out I heard moaning coming from one of the orchards but i couldnt find the source so be careful out there." Raging Bullet explained as SureShot got up and suited up.

"I will be sure to keep a look out in the orchard." SureShot said as he finally was ready to head out.

Raging Bullet lied down on the couch and quickly fell into a deep sleep...
