When the Sky is Empty, And the Earth is Void
Darkness...
That is the only element occupying this desolate, non-existent landscape. This space, where matter ceases to exist and nothing is measurable. This expanse, where it is so quiet, it is considered noise, and where nothing is held so perfectly still, that it is considered moving. This area, where time is frozen to the very Planck that it has existed. This, place, is nothing... No matter, no life, no joy, no love... Just darkness...
But then, out of nothing, came something. Matter creating itself out of no ingredients or work! Two chunks of something silently grew in size. With these orbs also came the first color, exploding out from their producers and sending rays of it out into the abyss of darkness. That color, was so beautiful, it was indescribable. However, the unbelievable color soon dissipated from view forever being lost to the darkness. What was left in its place, were three separate and unique colors; green blue and red. As the orbs reached their maximum size, The larger orb began to speak...
"Well that sure was an adventure, wouldn't you agree dear sister?" The sound waves extracting from the orb flew forever outwards in all directions, never faltering.
"Indeed," The smaller orb replied, each word triggering it to pulse with light, as if articulating the speech. "The only thing we should improve is make our next adventure more, prominent..." she said with a small sigh
"Of course dear, and I know exactly what will transpire during our next adventure,"
"Is that so sister? Please, do show..."
With the approval of her sister, the larger orb began to glow. She began to shift her appearance, as she was no longer a sphere, but now a poorly shaped animal torso. From this white torso, came four slim, long legs, a sparkling rainbow tail and a thin neck that connected to a smiling face and an ever flowing sparkling rainbow mane.
"Ugh, this is your idea?" was the smaller orb's response. "It's very silly..."
"No trust me, I assure you will enjoy it sister!" the pony insisted. "Besides it would be splendid to try something different for once, don't you agree?"
The orb sighed yet again, "I suppose, but I still believe this is quite childish."
"You mean foalish?" the pony joked with a smirk.
"Sister, are you ill? You seem to be acting quite strangely..." the orb replied as she too began to morph into her own pony life form. Her sister ever so patiently waiting for her to take her full form. From her slightly smaller blue torso grew four legs, a sparkling ethereal dark blue tail, wings, and connected to the neck, was a frowning face with a mane that shared the same characteristics as her ever flowing tail, including a lengthy horn lodged into her forehead.
The larger pony looked amused. "Nice touch," she complimented as she too grew wings and a lengthy horn. "Would you like a mirror, dear?"
"Indeed I do," was her response. And before her very eyes, a shiny mirror was conjured for her to examine her new body. She sighed as she facehoofed. "This is so dumb..."
The white alicorn took offence to this. "Hey, this is better than your idea last time! A world full of blocks, what was the name of that monstrosity you created?"
"Minecraft! That wasn't lame! you just don't like my creations!"
"Calm down dear sister, it was only a joke," she lied with a roll of her eyes.
"Well, let's just get on with your creation, agreed?" the smaller alicorn said, trying to change the subject.
"Agreed" she complied.
"Alright, first thing's first. I believe we will indeed need to be called by something. Any ideas?"
"In fact, I have created our identities for this creation."
"Is that so, sister? I must hear them."
The white pony obliged, "I will go by the name of Princess Celestia, and you will act as co-ruler by the name of Princess Luna. Me being Celestia because of my ability to move celestial bodies. that being the sun. And you, Luna, because you will be the guardian of the night, looming over our lovely subjects while they slumber. You will also bring the moon down to make way for the dawning sun."
Luna was surprised at her very understandable explanation, "You must have been thinking about this creation for quite sometime haven't you sister?"
"Indeed I have, ever since the end of my turn I have been planning for this creation."
"Impressive, I believe we will be in for quite the adventure."
"Oh trust me, we will be..." Celestia said with a smirk. "So are you ready to start?"
"Indeed, let us begin..." With that, the two alicorns spent the next seven days working on their new creation, adding objects, colors, and volume to the newly conjured up landscape out of nothing but empty space. The landscape they now called Equestria. The adventures soon to come in this creation were untold, soon to be wrote in books to be told by generations of subjects to their young, for generations to come...
"Dear sister" Luna said, waiting for acknowledgement. Receiving a nod of approval from Celestia, she continued to speak. "I think i'll take your advice on trying something new."
"Oh really? What is this new feat you wish to accomplish?" Celestia was intrigued to hear the answer.
"Throughout your entire adventure, I will speak in medieval type dialogue!"
"That actually sounds quite interesting, i'd like to see where this goes."
"Okay, I believe we are just about done. All we need now is a kingdom to care for our loyal subjects."
"Indeed sister, let us search for the perfect area."
The next few hours were spent bantering where their kingdom would be. Luna wanted it to be in the middle of a forest, and Celestia wanted it to be on a mountain. Somehow, Luna ended up winning and they settled down in the middle of what they called The Everfree Forest.
"So, I believe this is the beginning of our adventure, correct?" Luna looked up at her sister sitting high up on her newly conjured throne.
"That is correct dear sister. This is where our adventure begins..."
"The adventure where friendship is magic..."
