The Magic Within
Brony Edward Miller has always wanted a figurine of a pony, anypony. Fear of ridicule from his friends and relations has always kept him from the straight-forward approach of buying one from Toys-R-Us.
That changes when one day he meets an old, black woman with a penchant for crafting figurines. The figurine she makes for Edward stuns him by how much it looks like the real thing, much better than any toy he could buy in a store. What does this and the mysterious tenants of his apartment complex have to do with a slowly-dimming sun, blamed by most others on Global Cooling?
Premise based on The Fire Within by Chris d'Lacey.
(This story uses multiple perspectives. Chapters are released two at a time, human and pony. It is possible to read just the humans or just the ponies, but the whole story fits together when all chapters are read.)
